Review is limited as only commenced at the beginning of January 2025 in respite care awaiting an available permanent room. I have been extremely impressed with all aspects of care and attention given to both residents and visitors by very helpful staff.
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete a review and we are delighted that your husband is settling well in his new home. We work hard to create a warm and inviting homely setting for all our lovely residents and families and we are delighted that this has been your experience from the outset and thereafter.
All staff at Maryfield West Care Home have been excellent and extremely friendly and helpful since our Dad became a resident just two weeks ago. All his needs are attended to and everything has been well explained to our family. Our dad has also got his appetite back and is eating well again at the Care Home.
Thank you so much for the lovely review, it is our pleasure supporting your dad, we are very pleased that he is settling very well in Maryfield West.
My mum was very well looked after for the 3 weeks she was in for respite. From the beginning, the communication was amazing e.g asking all about my mum's likes/dislikes and routine etc. The staff were very friendly and really seemed to care. My mum seemed very happy and I would not hesitate to put her back in.
Thank you for taking the time for this lovely review. We would love to have your mum again for respite.
The activities look fun and most residents join in with a smile on their face and again appropriate for all.
Staff seem to be aware of the resident's needs and always seem happy to help. I am delighted with this Care Home.
Thank you very much for the lovely review. We truly appreciate this and we will pass it on to the team.
I need you to find somewhere for my friend relocating from England. The manager in particular was helpful in making it all work. Staff in the home are friendly and caring and cope well with my friend who can be stubborn and challenging. The atmosphere in the home is lovely.
Thank you very much for the lovely review. We will continue to support your friend as best as we can. I will pass the lovely feedback to my team.
The room provided whilst small, was comfortable and clean throughout her stay.
The staff were always attentive and helpful and made our mother feel at home during her stay. We would have no hesitation in recommending Maryfield and returning in the future.
Thank you very much for the lovely words. The feedback is appreciated and I will ensure it is shared with the team.
Very happy with the care my grandparents have received and how they are settling in. The nurses and staff are very supportive and patient making sure their needs are met. There are plenty of activities on offer including days out which look really good.

Maryfield West is a very well organised care home. The staff are incredibly friendly and approachable. My aunt has settled well here, and I know she's being well looked after. There's regular activities and outings for the residents to take part in. The rooms are of a good standard. The outdoor space is lovely and well-maintained. The meals and snacks offer good variety. The thing I like most about Maryfield is the happiness of the staff, it creates a very pleasant environment for the residents.
Thank you very much for the lovely review, this is much appreciated. I will share the feedback with the team.
Staff have welcomed and helped my mum to settle into Maryfield. She has enjoyed activities and outings. She has had access to a GP when required and the family is updated on any changes. Mum enjoys the meals. Seems happy and content.
Thank you very much for the lovely words. This is much appreciated. I will ensure the positive feedback is passed on to the staff.
This is a very well-run home and the careers are very friendly, they pay good attention to the resident's needs and are very attentive. They also have lots of entertainment on for the people in the home, and do lots of trips too!
Thank you very much for the lovely review. Your feedback is appreciated
I am always impressed with the exemplary, person-centred care provided to my grandma since moving to Maryfield West. The staff are all very engaging with the residents and the atmosphere is always very welcoming. The communication between the staff is of a very high standard and it’s demonstrated in the care provided to my grandmother. As a family, we always feel involved and are regularly updated on any care change needs. The nursing staff are always very conscientious and act on any deterioration fast and follow on to other services promptly. We are always impressed by the range of activities organised in Maryfield and outings, we especially enjoy being able to see my grandma on social media and most importantly enjoying herself. Thank you for everything you do for her and continue to do for her!
Thank you very much for the lovely review. This is much appreciated by the team at Maryfield West.
My mum's only been in about a month or so. The staff are friendly, when they see you they always say hello, even if they are with another resident. The activities that go on in there are great, they take them out if they are able to go out and the children from the local school come over to see them and sing songs to them which is very heartwarming. Every time I go in, it’s almost their coffee time and the staff offer you a cup of tea or coffee, which is nice of them. I feel at ease knowing my mum's being looked after properly.
Thank you very much for the lovely review. Your feedback is much appreciated.
Everyone is very friendly, and the staff have also been particularly kind and understanding with my dad during his visits to Mum.
Many thanks to you all.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the manager is approachable and will do her best to help. The home feels homely. There is always a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Everyone is doing their best to look after the elderly residents.
Thank you for the lovely review. We appreciate all the good words and will continue to do our best to provide a high standard of care for our residents.
I never thought my mum would settle in another care home after her last one was closed down. But she has settled in really well and the staff, in every capacity, are caring, kind and friendly but professional at all times.
Thank you very much for the lovely review. We truly appreciate it.
The care shown to my grandmother is above and beyond. It is so sad seeing her living her final years away from her home and family, but due to her dementia, we can’t provide the care she needs, and the staff at Maryfield are the closest thing to family care. They are positive, caring and friendly. The staff make a care home; everything else comes second, and knowing your loved one is being genuinely cared for is the most important element.
Thank you very much for the lovely review. It means a lot to us, and we will continue to work to the best of our ability to provide the best care.
I am always greeted by a friendly, professional team. My friend is treated so well and cared for by exceptional staff. The carers and nurses are A+. Management and reception are lovely. The food is amazing and my friend eats very well. The place is very clean and tidy. You should all be very proud of your work, I cannot thank you all enough.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this lovely review, the team really appreciate your feedback and we are delighted that your friend is happy at Maryfield.
We could not be happier with the high standard of care provided at Maryfield West Nursing Home. The staff are caring and attentive to my mum, and friendly and welcoming to family and friends who visit. There are varied activities on offer every day and it is especially nice to see photos of participation in them. It is reassuring to know my mum is happy and being so well looked after. I would not hesitate to recommend the home to others.
Thank you for taking the time to review Maryfield West. We will ensure that your very kind words are passed onto the team and are so glad to hear that you would recommend the home due to the high standards of care and friendly, welcoming atmosphere within the home.
