Maryfield West Nursing Home in the west end of Aberdeen, close to the city centre, provides high-quality nursing, residential, dementia and respite care. The passionate and skilled team offers personalised care to each resident to ensure their needs and preferences are catered for.

My great aunt is very well cared for and she is very happy, the staff are all lovely and helpful. Nice homely environment, welcoming to visitors and lots of activities for the residents. We are very happy with Maryfield West and would recommend to others.

My aunt is very well cared for at Maryfield West, the staff are very caring and kind. Plenty of activities and lovely food! The team did an incredible job of keeping people safe through the pandemic. Highly recommend.

The staff at Maryfield West are exceptional, providing a cheerful welcome to visitors. I have no concerns about my mum's welfare because I know she is very well cared for. They have coped admirably during the pandemic and genuinely care for their residents.

Mum had to move into Maryfield West Nursing Home in February 2021. The home was extremely helpful, sending staff to her house to help move furniture and other personal belongings into her room in advance of her arrival. Although visiting has been limited by Covid-19 rules I feel that the home has done
as much as it can to help settle her in during a very difficult time. Staff have exhibited great care and compassion for Mum. Mum has to have a gluten and soya free diet and the management and chef have been very attentive and careful in ensuring she has this.

My mum receives excellent care, all of the staff are lovely, very helpful, always kind and caring. Maryfield West Nursing Home is extremely clean. There's always a lovely and welcoming atmosphere. Brilliant activities programme with excellent variety. All of the residents are encouraged to join in with
the activities and celebrations. Lovely garden with a summerhouse, we enjoy our visits with mum sitting in the garden on a sunny day. A very kind and caring home, mum is very happy.

My granny has been really well looked after and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Maryfield did an incredible job managing covid risks throughout the pandemic. The home does a wide variety of excellent activities for all the residents, even we were jealous of the animals they got to meet.

Both my parents have been residents at Maryfield West Care Home. They have been extremely well looked after by the kind and caring staff there. My mum was admitted from another care home with a very large pressure sore on her sacrum, which the nurses and carers at Maryfield managed to heal completely.
The manager and all the staff are friendly and approachable and take time chat with visiting relatives. The staff have a good rapport with the residents and there are daily activities which residents can take part in. There is generally a nice friendly atmosphere within the home.

I visit my friend quite regularly and today they were having a coffee morning to raise money for a national cancer charity. Everyone was involved including those that live there and having a brilliant time.
Staff were fantastic with lots of laughs (as usual) and really welcoming. Looking forward to
the next coffee morning.

I have been to visit a friend of mine a few times and on each occasion I am greeted with friendly and helpful staff. The home appears clean and tidy, with laundry and hairdressing services on site. I would not hesitate to recommend this home in the future.

My grandmother moved to Maryfield West Care Home in June 2019. After having moved from a previous care home we found that Maryfield West was the perfect place for my grandmother. The staff and manager were extremely helpful during the transition and the move.
They are still also very helpful to this
day and do their very best for my grandmother, ensuring that we are also as a family kept up to date about her health and what the care home has to offer. I have never seen my grandmother so happy and we are delighted to have found such a fantastic, friendly, caring and passionate place for her to enjoy her life! My grandmother has also complimented the staff and the management and gets on really well with them. The cleanliness of the care home is of a high standard, and the food and drink is amazing for the residents who live there.

My Mum moved into Maryfield West four weeks ago from Northern Ireland and we have seen a massive improvement in her mobility and cognitive ability which is as a result of the level of care and attention she has received in Maryfield. The manager and all his team are fantastic and very supportive of
both my Mum (resident) and me. They were always available to answer any questions or concerns both before my mum moved in and that has not changed now that she has become a permanent resident. I am a regular visitor (every day) and have seen for myself the excellent quality of care all residents receive and more importantly the staff genuinely care about the residents. I am very relieved that I made the right choice of care home for my mum and am grateful for the care she is receiving. I cannot recommend Maryfield West enough to anyone considering a placement for their loved one!

I have worked at Maryfield as the resident hairdresser for many years. The staff are excellent with the residents and are helpful and approachable. My Mum has been resident at Maryfield West for a few weeks, having had to move from a previous care home. The Manager has been extremely helpful, timely and efficient from our first meeting and in all aspects of the subsequent transfer and the settling in period, taking much of the stress out of the
situation. He is also a visible presence in the home, which is bright, welcoming and has a happy feel. All staff we have had contact with have been friendly, caring and interested. There is always a high level of care staff on duty, and Mum’s appearance is clean, neat and tidy. Her room is nicely decorated and the quality furnishings, along with her own bits and pieces, make it a real home from home. She finds it a stimulating environment, observing others, and enjoying watching and taking part in organised activities. Standards of cleanliness throughout are high. As yet we’ve not visited during mealtimes, but menus look tasty with lots of variety. I am so pleased that Mum is now resident there.
