I am so grateful for the respite place given to my wife whose mental confusion was impossible to manage at home. The staff have been able to do things like inducing her to eat, take medication and see to personal care, all in a most professional way. Above all they have been kind to me, enabling me to, at last, give up daily responsibility. My wife is withdrawn and frequently unresponsive and uncooperative, but they persevere nonetheless. I wish she could appreciate the care given to her, but I certainly do!
Thank you for your kind review. We are pleased to know that you have found the team kind and professional at all times. Your kind words will be shared with the team.
All the staff are very polite and professional having the interests of my mum and all the residents at the heart of their tasks.
I have to say they have all made me feel relaxed during the last 2 years of the pandemic with the knowledge that Mum was so well looked after in care, nursing, medication, excellent food and activities, ensuring all major events are celebrated. Rooms and facilities are excellent with the bonus of a superb garden to sit out in for fresh air.
Also after the lockdowns, they are taken on visits in the minibus, also being taken to the local coffee shops.
I am extremely happy with the support given to my mum each day and night.
Thank you for your feedback about Maryfield West. It is always great to hear that you find that the staff are always polite and professional. We are glad to hear that Mum has been taking every opportunity to enjoy the garden and visits out on the minibus.
Very friendly welcoming staff. Go out of their way to get you anything you need. It's really nice that they all call me by my name and they all say hello to me no matter how busy they are. Would recommend the home to everybody.
Thank you for your lovely review regarding the team at Maryfield West. We are happy to hear that you feel our team are supportive when you visit and will ensure that this is fed back to the team.
The overall care my wife receives from the staff is very good she always appears to be happy and, looking at photos of all the recent trips and activities, she always appears to have a great time. I can't praise the staff enough for the care and attention she receives.
We are very glad to hear that your wife appears to enjoy all of the activities at Maryfield West and that you are a part of our social media journey. I will pass on your kind words to our staff team. Keep a lookout for the Mad Hatters Tea Party at the end of the week!

My brother was admitted to Maryfield West Nursing Home Aberdeen on the 20th September 2021 due to a change in his care needs. Since then I have spoken to several members of staff both on the telephone and in person about my brother's current care needs. They have been extremely kind and helpful and very informative and I feel completely reassured about the standard of care my brother is receiving and how I can support this with the help and advice of all staff involved with my brothers care. All staff I have encountered have been professional, caring, kind, helpful and have reassured me that the transition to this care facility for my brother is the best that can be found for him in Aberdeen.

Mum had to move into Maryfield West Nursing Home in February 2021. The home was extremely helpful, sending staff to her house to help move furniture and other personal belongings into her room in advance of her arrival. Although visiting has been limited by Covid-19 rules I feel that the home has done as much as it can to help settle her in during a very difficult time. Staff have exhibited great care and compassion for Mum. Mum has to have a gluten and soya free diet and the management and chef have been very attentive and careful in ensuring she has this.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Maryfield West and your positive comments. It is a testament to the team at Maryfield West that you feel that all staff exhibit great care and compassion for your mum. Covid-19 has been a very difficult time for all family members but especially...

Lovely garden with a summerhouse, we enjoy our visits with mum sitting in the garden on a sunny day. A very kind and caring home, mum is very happy.
Thank you for your feedback about Maryfield West. It is always great to hear that you find that the home always has a welcoming and lovely atmosphere. We have all been taking every opportunity to enjoy the garden in this wonderful weather and glad to know that this enhances your outdoor visits with Mum.
My granny has been really well looked after and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Maryfield did an incredible job managing covid risks throughout the pandemic. The home does a wide variety of excellent activities for all the residents, even we were jealous of the animals they got to meet.
Thank you for your positive comments. We are very glad to hear that yourself and Granny have found the staff to always be helpful and friendly during such a difficult time for all. Our activities coordinator is a testament to the home and will be grateful for your excellent feedback.

The manager and all the staff are friendly and approachable and take time chat with visiting relatives. The staff have a good rapport with the residents and there are daily activities which residents can take part in. There is generally a nice friendly atmosphere within the home.
It is well managed and staffed with a warm, caring and attentive team.
I am happy and reassured that my family member is in 'great hands' and enjoying his new home at Maryfield West.
Staff were fantastic with lots of laughs (as usual) and really welcoming. Looking forward to the next coffee morning.
Having visited the care home, I found the staff to be very professional, polite and always courteous each visit. I am made to feel welcome and can see the level of care given to clients.
I have been to visit a friend of mine a few times and on each occasion I am greeted with friendly and helpful staff. The home appears clean and tidy, with laundry and hairdressing services on site. I would not hesitate to recommend this home in the future.
