The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming and the residents are well looked after. There are regular activities going on and regular trips for residents. The home is clean, warm and safe. My friend has had a new lease of life since she started residing in the home and has made many friends there.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We're so pleased to hear your friend is enjoying the social side of the home-building connections is so important to us and to all of our residents.
I believe that Persley Castle perform miracles, taking into account that like most businesses, they have limited funds and staff to work with. The care shown to residents is first class, and the fact that there is not a high turn over of staff indicate that it is a good & happy place to work. Residents are given opportunities to do a wide variety of activities so there is something for everybody.
The first day my mum arrived, we were told we were now part of the family, and have been treated as such ever since. And we really do feel like we have a vastly extended family of great aunts and uncles in the form of the residents who love to chat, and also in the staff, who not only look after mum's welfare, they look after ours too.
It may not be perfect, no where will be. However, it is an amazing home to a very large family of really special people and I feel blessed to be part of that family.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and for taking the time to share your experience. It truly means a lot to us. We're incredibly proud of our team and the care, kindness and dedication they show every day to make residents and their loved ones feel welcome, comfortable and at home. Your kind words will mean a great deal to them.
They are friendly and go above and beyond.
The day room has lots of activities to keep the residents happy and entertained.
The dining room is clean and tidy and the staff are hardworking and will deliver food and tea to the room.
The bedroom and en suite is kept clean and tidy with polite staff knocking and asking to come in everytime.
Although, it's been a hard transition the staff have been patient and very caring.
We cannot fault the home and know there is an open door policy and we would feel very comfortable to share our concerns if we ever needed to.
We all feel comfortable coming in and out at all times of the day.
Thank you for your friendly approach and professionalism at a difficult time.
Thank you for your kind words - we understand how difficult the transition can be and will always do everything we can to make it as smooth and reassuring as possible. You're always welcome in the home at any time, and we encourage loved ones to spend as much time with us as they wish. Very best wishes.
All ways had a great experience with all staff very friendly and welcoming. Always on hand to answer any questions we have . Care is of great standard nothing to difficult if u have a problem to talk to the staff .
Thank you for your kind words, we're so pleased to hear of your positive experience with our team. Providing friendly, supportive care and being available to answer any questions is exactly what we strive for, so it's lovely to know that has come across. Your comments mean a lot to us all.
Mum has been here for nearly 5 years and she is very happy here. The staff are brilliant, very kind and supportive. Mum enjoys the food here as well, and there are always activities for her to participate in.
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear that your mum has been happy with us over the past five years - it really means a lot. Our team takes great pride in creating a kind, supportive environment, and it's wonderful to know she enjoys the food and activities too. We truly value your continued trust in us.
Mum is well cared for, her health is monitored closely and always lots of activities to get involved in.
I'm very happy with the care my mum gets at Perslay Castle. Very clean and the staff do a great job. They are all very friendly and always on the go. Every time I'm in, I'm offered tea or coffee, my mum likes her cigarette and she gets out for one so it makes her happy.
Persley is such a lovely, homely environment. My mother is very happy and well looked after. The staff do so much with the residents, always activities going on and they always pull out the stops when doing special events. I can't thank the staff enough for the care and compassion they provide.
The home is run in a very professional manner with staff who care for the patients in a compassionate way. Mum is not really able to participate in all the home activities but is still encouraged to join where she can. Overall as a family we are more than happy with the level of care provided.
Resulting in a very visible improvement, especially in activities and entertainment.
Mum is very well looked after; she is always clean and relatively happy within herself certainly wouldn’t be the easiest to care for. Mum's dementia means that she struggles to join in with some activities, but this doesn't deter the staff from including her, which we as a family appreciate. Happy enough with her care.
We have seen a great change in Mum, she is so happy, has plenty of company, very well looked after and is no longer bored and lonely.
She is treated as an individual rather than just a number and has made many friends.
She likes getting involved in all the activities and outings.
We are confident that we have made the best choice in Persley castle care home.
Thank you for your lovely review, we're so glad your mum has settled and you and your family are happy. Thank you again and very best wishes, Renaissance Care.
My mum suffered immensely as a result of poor knowledge and a lack of compassion.
As a result, my whole family were left traumatised by my mum's high level of pain and discomfort during her last week of life, end-of-life care should and need not ever be like mum's was.
Reported to the care inspector and complaints upheld, big improvements need to be made and monitored.
We have taken immediate action to implement major changes in the...
Mum has been here for a few months now and settled very well.
The staff can not do enough, everyone is so helpful and will assist with anything that you ask them to.
Would recommend this care home to anyone.
They do so much with the residents within the care home, especially all the lovely events that take place.
Thank you for leaving your lovely review. We're really glad to hear your mum is settling in well and enjoying the activities at the home, the team are very creative in their approach to lifestyle events. Thanks again and very best wished, Renaissance Care.
Our family was very apprehensive about putting our mum into care but we could never have guessed how brilliant the staff at Persley would be. When she moved into Persley Castle it was thought that she may only have weeks or months left at best, but due to the care and attention of the staff, we had a lovely two and a half years with her. We would like to give special thanks to staff. The care, patience and compassion they displayed to our mum up to the time of her passing was second to none, and we will always be truly grateful to them. We would also like to thank all the other staff members who unfortunately we did not know by name. If we were asked to give the staff marks out 10, every one of them would be a 20. They really embody the word care, the staff should be cherished, encouraged and truly appreciated for their efforts. We will be forever grateful for what they did for our family.
Thank you very much for your review. We're so glad your mum was happy during her time at Persley Castle and that we were able to care for her so wonderfully during her later years. Thank you for all your support, we wish you and your family our very best wishes for the future. Kr, Renaissance Care.
Although my father was a resident for a short time, he was very well cared for with dignity and respect. The staff were very welcoming and the care home had a lovely, warm homely feeling when you were there. My father was very happy while he was there, when he arrived he was very stressed and the staff soon reassured him that he was safe. I can’t thank the staff enough for the compassionate care they provide.
Thank you very much for your lovely review and we're so glad to hear how happy your father was at Persley Castle - our people there truly are wonderful. Thank you and very best wishes, Renaissance Care.
I have nothing but praise for all the staff and really appreciate all the care that my husband is given. I would have no hesitation in recommending Persley Castle to anyone. Thank you all.
Very best wishes from Renaissance Care.
My dad moved into Persley Castle in June 2022 after a very stressful couple of months in hospital and rehab due to covid resulting in a rapid decline of his Alzheimers. He very quickly settled in at Persley thanks to the amazing staff. We were all apprehensive about him moving to a care home but we could not have hoped for better care. The staff are very friendly, attentive and caring. We have had no concerns about his care there, it could not be better. He is always treated with dignity and respect. The home is always very clean and well-presented and the regular decorations for special occasions are a lovely touch. I would highly recommend Persley.
Thank you for your lovely review. We're delighted that your dad has settled well into Persley Castle and this has had such a positive effect for the whole family. Very best wishes, Renaissance Care.
I have found that the care provided is exceptional and the management and staff are very cheery, caring and compassionate. Mum was in hospital for quite some time before moving to Persley and her health and general well-being has improved significantly over a short period of time. Persley Castle is decorated very homely and is spotlessly clean both in her room and throughout the common areas. The garden areas are also very nice. I really struggled with the decision to place my mum in a care home but I feel that Persley Castle staff have put my mind completely at ease as I know she is being very well cared for and I cannot thank you all enough.
Thank you for you review and kind words. We're so glad to hear of the positive benefits you and your mother have experienced since the move to Persley Castle, we're very happy to be supporting her quality of life. Thank you again, Renaissance Care
I would highly recommend this facility for its excellent service.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're so glad to hear that you and your family are enjoying real quality time now your mother-in-law is at Persley Castle, it's so important for everyone's health and wellbeing. Very best wishes, Renaissance Care.
Mum is looked after really well, all her needs are met, she's always clean and well dressed.
All the events that are planned for residents and family are superb.
I really appreciate all the care that mum is given.
