Since joining Meallmore in 2012 as a carer, I’ve been fortunate to grow my career within a company that truly values and supports its people. I’m proud to now lead the wonderful team at Auchtercrag House, having recently moved from St Modans, bringing with me years of experience and a deep passion for person-centred care.

At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to listening – to our residents and their families – so we can understand their wishes and deliver the highest quality, individualised care.

I strongly believe in leading by example, and one of my top priorities is ensuring our team feels supported, especially when it comes to learning and development. When our staff thrive, so do our residents.

Auchtercrag House has been thoughtfully designed to feel like home, with a beautiful environment that offers both comfort and security. We’re especially proud of our dedicated dementia care unit, where residents living with dementia receive care that is truly tailored to their needs in a calm, familiar setting.

We’re closely connected to our local community and work hand-in-hand with healthcare professionals to ensure we’re always providing safe, up-to-date, and confident care. Many of our team are local too, which brings a real sense of belonging and togetherness to life at Auchtercrag.

Above all, we want residents to feel at home - to live well, stay connected, and keep doing the things they love. Whether it’s enjoying a hobby, joining in on an activity, or simply sharing a laugh with our staff, life here is about making every day as meaningful and joyful as it can be.

I am currently serving as the deputy manager here at Auchtercrag, where I am tasked with driving operational excellence and delivering impactful results. With over 7 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, I have developed a deep understanding of strategic management, team leadership and clinical oversight. My professional journey began after completing my Bachelor of Science degree from The University of the West Indies Mona in Jamaica, which laid the foundation for my career in General nursing, such as older adults and emergency nursing. Over the years, I have had various experiences that have allowed me to refine my skills, particularly in assessment, critical clinical decision-making, and coordinating nursing palliative care. Two of my best attributes are: recognising any changes/concerns in residents’ health and escalating accordingly. As well as my communication amongst residents, families, colleagues and the multidisciplinary team.

It is hoped that I will support the team in delivering person-centred care, ensuring there is clinical, operational oversight and ensuring our residents and staff perform against the quality indicators framework while living the value of Meallmore.

Alison works full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. She is a bubbly and dedicated member of the team, showing a strong commitment to her role at Auchtercrag.

Alison is available to assist with all aspects of contracts and non-care fees. She is always keen to have a chat, offer support, and help guide you in the right direction with any queries you may have.

Chris is our Maintenance Man here at Auchtercrag. From fixing smaller issues to taking on larger projects, he plays a key role in keeping the home safe, comfortable, and running smoothly.

Chris is always on hand to help and is approachable, reliable, and committed to ensuring everything is well-maintained for both residents and staff.

Nicola is the Head of Housekeeping and Laundry at Auchtercrag. She plays an essential role in ensuring the home remains clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times.

Nicola also oversees the smooth running of the laundry service each day, helping to ensure residents’ clothing and linens are maintained to a high standard. She is dedicated, organised, and takes great pride in creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for everyone.

Anna is our award-winning Head Chef and works full-time at Auchtercrag. She takes great pride in preparing a wide variety of meals, from hearty favourites to delicious home baking.

Anna is passionate about ensuring residents enjoy nutritious, well-balanced meals, tailored to their individual preferences and dietary needs.

Julie works full-time as our Activities Coordinator and plays a key role in creating a fun and engaging environment for our residents.

She enjoys developing new ideas and organising meaningful activities that reflect residents’ interests, helping to promote enjoyment, wellbeing, and social connection within the home.
