Crimond House is committed to developing a relaxed and happy home where people enjoy living and working. They offer residents a variety of activities that can be tailored to their needs to ensure they can socialise and continue to enjoy hobbies.
There are seven spacious lounge/dining areas so residents can choose where to enjoy the nutritious meals prepared by the highly skilled catering team.
The landscaped gardens are safe, secure and easily accessible, providing an attractive area to sit and relax or enjoy a spot of gardening. Residents can also choose to pop into the hairdressing and beauty salon for a spot of pampering.
Provision of first class care encourages residents, and their families, to participate in the home’s commitment to quality and become fully involved at all stages of care planning, as well as many other aspects of care home life.
There is access to paramedical staff, including physiotherapists and podiatrists, and there is full medical support from local GPs, the local hospital and the Community Mental Health Team. The home is conveniently located in Crimond, close to local shops and amenities.

I moved my aunty whom I am wellfare guardian for in to the home in dec 25 after a 8 week stay in hospital after a bad fall which fractured her spine and the residential home she stayed at for 8 years was no longer suitable for her needs. I was very nervous and reluctant to do so and was extremely anxious about her wellbeing and physical state. She has Parkinson's and a learning disability and was very settled in the home she had previously stayed at. I simply can not recommend Crimond care home enough the reassurance and support I received with the transition was second to none. The manager Amanda was amazing. She made us all feel so welcome and helped support us all in this transition. The level of care my aunty receives is five star. They have made her feel so at home and loved. It's like she has got a second lease of life and absolutely loves it there. I have nothing but respect for all thy do for her and she is so Settled there. The staff are all amazing.

The staff in the area I visit every week are very attentive to the residents. Rooms are always very clean and bright. The meals always look lovely. We always get offered a cup of tea. The home is lovely and warm and the residents are very happy.

The home itself looks lovely, but there is a general bad smell of urine in certain areas. Also there seems to be a lack of wheelchairs as my granny always seems to have to borrow someone else's. Shouldn't everyone who needs one have one? Staff very friendly. Some of the food isn't always edible......

A lot of staffing changes, which can be unsettling for my granny I feel. Seems to be a lack of trips out of the home. Once she got offered a trip out but she wasn't able to get on the bus so wasn't able to go, which I feel is unfair. So she just had to be wheeled back to her room. Are suitable vehicles with disability access not available to the home for use? However, in general my granny is quite happy, which is my main concern.

My Mum has dementia and has been in Crimond House since September. She has settled in really well and it's reassuring to see her safe, happy and well looked after.
