My husband was a resident for 2 weeks thanks to the kindness and understanding of the care home manager – all the staff were friendly and helpful keeping my husband clean and well attended. – He told me that the staff made my husband feel safe in a new environment to him – all of which made us both happy.

Reply from Cameron, Crimond House Care Home at Crimond House

Thank you for sharing your experience. We are so pleased that your husband felt safe and settled during his stay at Crimond House, especially in what was a new and unfamiliar environment for him. It is lovely to hear that the kindness, reassurance and care shown by the manager and team helped bring comfort to you both.

I moved my aunty whom I am wellfare guardian for in to the home in dec 25 after a 8 week stay in hospital after a bad fall which fractured her spine and the residential home she stayed at for 8 years was no longer suitable for her needs. I was very nervous and reluctant to do so and was extremely anxious about her wellbeing and physical state. She has Parkinson's and a learning disability and was very settled in the home she had previously stayed at. I simply can not recommend Crimond care home enough the reassurance and support I received with the transition was second to none. The manager Amanda was amazing. She made us all feel so welcome and helped support us all in this transition. The level of care my aunty receives is five star. They have made her feel so at home and loved. It's like she has got a second lease of life and absolutely loves it there. I have nothing but respect for all thy do for her and she is so Settled there. The staff are all amazing.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and for trusting us with your aunt's care. We understand how difficult and emotional a move like this can be, especially after such a long stay in the hospital and after many years in her previous home, so it means a great deal to hear...

My mum Lottie came to Crimond House Care Home at the end of January & has received excellent care from all the staff showing care & respect. Mum has had her nails done hair done which really helps to make her feel good. They had a gentleman singing to residents in the lounge and all the residents thoroughly enjoyed singing along.
My mum says all the staff are magnificent!!!
Staff always keep us up to date with every aspect of mums care when we are visiting or by phone calls

Huge thank you to all staff members at Crimond House Care Home

During my time in interacting with the staff at Crimond House on behalf of my father. I have found them to be professional, friendly, welcoming and fully supportive.
They are always willing to help my mother, when she visits her husband for a couple of lunches every week.
When I call them from 500 miles away, they offer assistance, and support when I ask for details of my father's care.

I can honestly say I have never had any bad care issues, and more importantly, my father is happy and well cared for.

I wholeheartedly recommend Crimond House Care Home, where my Mum is a resident on Logie Ward. She continually expresses how safe and secure she feels in this nurturing environment, and she often praises the staff for their exceptional kindness and support.
A standout aspect of Crimond is the quality of food, especially the delightful selection of sweets that Mum thoroughly enjoys. In addition, the cleanliness and organisation of her room are consistently impressive, with her laundry returned the same day, neatly hung and ready to be put away. This meticulous care greatly contributes to her comfort and happiness.
Before moving to Crimond, Mum lived at home and, despite having carers visit four times a day, often felt lonely, scared, and anxious. She would frequently eat alone, leading to frustration and wasted meals.

In summary, Crimond House Care Home is an outstanding choice for those seeking a warm, supportive, and safe environment for their loved ones.

When my mother went to the care home, wasn't sure how the move would go, but the care home management and staff got my mother settled in ok and have been doing a good job the last 3 years. The home itself looks lovely, but there is a general bad smell of urine in certain areas. Also there seems to be a lack of wheelchairs as my granny always seems to have to borrow someone else's. Shouldn't everyone who needs one have one? Staff very friendly. Some of the food isn't always edible... particularly the porridge. A lot of staffing changes, which can be unsettling for my granny I feel. Seems to be a lack of trips out of the home. Once she got offered a trip out but she wasn't able to get on the bus so wasn't able to go, which I feel is unfair. So she just had to be wheeled back to her room. Are suitable vehicles with disability access not available to the home for use? However, in general my granny is quite happy, which is my main concern.
