Staff are caring and take every effort to ensure mum is looked after and is treated as a friend. Facilities are clean and well maintained. This really is a fantastic place for mum to be and is close to being in her own home as is reasonably possible.

Have visited my aunt on several occasions and always find the staff very friendly and caring. Visitors are always welcomed.

My aunt celebrated her 104th birthday in April 2017 and the care home laid on a lovely buffet for residents and visitors and the chef made a beautiful cake in the shape of her age.

My father went into Havencourt Care Home for respite care and end of life care. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and my father received immediate care and attention. The atmosphere in the home was lovely and every time any of the family visited we were greeted by any member of staff we came across. My father received excellent care and attention and it was obvious from the very start of his stay that the staff were well trained and very caring. We were kept informed of any changes in my dad's health and were promptly and sympathetically informed when he died. I could not have been happier with the compassionate care provided to my father. It was such a comfort to myself and the family to know that he was being well cared for. Other members of the family who visited were equally impressed with the home and the staff. The home is also well kept and nicely furnished. I would like to thank everyone there for their kindness and care extended to my father at this difficult time.

As my wife has only been in the care home for the short period of one week, I have not had much time to assess the home. However, what I have seen of it is very good, clean, tidy and very friendly staff who will do anything to help you and to make you feel at home. Cannot fault the place at all, my wife has settled in well.

My aunt was transferred to Havencourt Care Home from Kincardine Community Hospital following a hospital admission for a fractured hip. My aunt lived in Inverbervie all her 90 years and became a bit unsettled after a few months at Havencourt Care Home as she decided that she wanted to go 'home'. She was transferred to Castle Lodge on the 16th August 2016 and immediately recognised three ladies who she had known for many years when she lived in Inverbevie. My aunt and myself have nothing but the highest regard for the Havencourt Care Home staff who looked after her with excellent care but I'm confident my aunt will have many happy times in Castle Lodge, now she's 'home'.

I arrived here yesterday for rehabilitation. I have had four meals and have enjoyed them because they weren't over facing me with large portions. I generally am a poor eater, but I enjoyed the portions that were served up to an invalid.

I stayed for restbite care for 13 days. I was very impressed by the care I had. The staff were excellent, caring, smiling and requests made were attended to. Nothing was too much trouble to them. I could thoroughly recommend Havencourt as a home for anyone in their later years. So clean and well kept rooms with many personal, homely details.

Review from Douglas K (Son-in-law of Resident) published on 27 January 2016 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

The resident had lived independently until into his late nineties, quite suddenly realizing that he needed much more living support. The family, in discussion with his doctor and social services, recommend Havencourt as a respite provider, leaving the resident to decide if he would like to stay at Havencourt, or look further for long term care.

It took very little time for him to decide to select Havencourt as the long term care home. Havencourt fulfilled his desire for warmth, company and hot food, three things that we all take for granted, but sadly miss if informal help from friends and family can no longer meet the need, much as they wished to help him maintain his independence.

The staff were excellent, he loved the food and enjoyed mixing with other residents at mealtimes when he wanted to. He told family members that he regretted he hadn't moved into Havencourt sooner.

The staff were always kind to my father in law and helpful to us.

The home had a pleasant environment, morale of staff and residents seemed to be very good.
