St Olaf Care Home is situated in the seaside town of Nairn.

At St Olaf they provide high quality, personalised nursing care for older people. There's also a specialist unit dedicated for those living with dementia and have facilities for respite care.

The home offers 41 fully furnished en-suite bedrooms finished to exceptionally high standards. All of the rooms have en-suite wet rooms, and some include a small kitchenette and dining facilities.

The home has some of the latest technology to ensure the safety, well-being, and mobility of residents while allowing them to be as independent as possible.

I have been visiting St Olaf for almost 6/7-years now visiting relatives and have been very impressed with the care and attention received. The staff really make everyone feel at home. The staff are accessible and very committed, caring and consistently show respect to my father. This gives reassurance that he is well looked after and his needs are being met. This has been the case over the two years of residency. The cleanliness and friendliness of the residency add positively to
the ambience. I look forward to reinstating regular hair-cuts and podiatrist care with the easing of Covid-19 related restrictions. I am especially glad to be able to resume regular visits to my father.

The team are friendly, helpful and caring. They learn about residents likes and use that knowledge when talking with the residents. GP's are called when required very quickly. They phone me when anything is wrong and keep me informed.

My dealings with the majority of staff have been positive. On the whole, they try very hard to accommodate care and routine requests. Although sometimes the home routine gets in the way, my mother is well cared for and mostly happy. Communication unfortunately can be a bit hit and miss. I have no issues
with my mothers care, although sometimes her wait to return to bed can be longer than she'd like.

After a very difficult year due to COVID. We recently had the opportunity to move my mother-in-law to St Olaf Care Home. We wanted her to be nearer home in the hope that visiting would soon become easier. From the word go, the managers were very supportive, sensitive and understanding of the situation.
The transition has gone very smoothly, we have felt included every step of the way, and Mum’s health and welfare have been at the centre of all decisions. We are particularly impressed with the attention and care given to ensure she is well presented and appropriately dressed. On her arrival, the carers involved were very quick to pick up on the fact that new clothing was required, and helped us resolve the situation very quickly. We felt then that Mum would be treated with respect and dignity at all times. The staff have all been approachable and friendly, and we are in no doubt that the very difficult decision to move Mum from a home, she knew, was the right one.

A very kind and friendly care home but also with the highest professional standards. Very good links to local GP, mental health and dental services. I am always made to feel welcome and there are always plenty of staff on duty who take the time to discuss any concerns I might have. My father is content

I have been very impressed by the level of care and personal attention from the manager right down to laundry assistants. Great attention to providing activities and outings and simply spending time with residents. The food provided is good and attention is given to residents' preferences.

We visited St Olaf 2 or 3 times a week for the past four and a half years and were always made very welcome. We always found all staff to be thoroughly competent, professional and caring whatever their role and we were made to feel part of their wonderful team. After visiting, we always had a feeling

I feel so happy that my Mum is in St Olaf. From the moment you walk through the door, it is spacious and bright. Staff are always smiling and welcoming and you are always offered tea/coffee etc. Staff and management always have time to speak to you and keep you updated at all times. If you ask for anything
to be done i.e. nails cut, hair appointment etc. These are always carried out very promptly. When I visit all the residents are happy and smiling. St Olaf is such a lovely homely place to be.

I find the staff in the dementia unit to be very caring to all their residents. Meals provided are very well thought out - nutritionally and in the presentation. Residents get a say in new additions to the menu. The home is kept very clean and my only complaint is that sometimes there is a smell in
the dementia unit of bodily fluids. It would also be good if there was some usable outside garden space for the dementia residents
