I recently visited Scotland for a week and visited my dad every day. I was welcomed by all the staff, who used my first name, and everything was made easy for me to do a Covid test before visiting to comply with the necessary protocols. My dad has been moved to a larger room to enable the staff to use the necessary equipment for his care, and it is so light with two windows and really comfortable for him. He was always “clean and shiny”! And very well dressed. It was such a lovely atmosphere at Seaview - a home-from-home and a pleasure to visit and chat with staff and residents, as well as my dad! The activities taking place at Seaview are too numerous to mention, and they provide so much interaction for all their residents, which was obvious from the happy and relaxed atmosphere at the home. I can’t praise nor thank the staff enough! See you again soon!
Thank you for your review. We value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Thank you also for your positive comments regarding our home and team, who work hard to deliver high standards of quality care at all times. I will pass on your feedback to the team.

It is difficult for a family when one of your loved ones had to go into long term care and takes time for everyone to adjust. I cannot thank all the lovely staff for all the love and care they continue to provide my dad. I know by the way my lovely dad smiles and reacts to them all and how safe and loved he feels. He will often say to me "mercy, they're good to me". I am especially thankful to each and every one of them for giving my dad the love and care he needs under such difficult circumstances lately. Forever thankful.
Thank you for your lovely words, it means a lot to hear your feedback.

I cannot speak too highly of the care that the manageress and her staff have given to my cousin since he arrived at Seaview. If it was not for the excellent care given to him, I am convinced he would not be alive today. The whole staff give a high standard of personal care that I have not witnessed in other similar established homes. A lot of this is a result of the training given with senior staff supporting the younger ones. I could go on at length.
Thank you so much for this lovely review. We remain passionate about the wellbeing of the people we support. In these difficult times, our passion remains as strong as ever.
I am very happy in here and the last few months have been hard not seeing my family but the staff have made me so happy and now I see my family in the garden. I feel lucky to be here.

My mum has been a resident for three years and has faced many challenges both physically and mentally. She has faced these with strength and determination, but primarily with the care and kindness shown by the staff of all grades and disciplines. The ongoing COVID restrictions have proved challenging for all, staff, residents and family. I have felt reassured by regular updates form the manager, my observations of screening and the wearing of PPE. Most importantly and reassuringly is my mum continually stating that she feels "safe".
Thank you so much for your kind words. I agree that your mum's tenacious approach to life has contributed significantly to her improved wellbeing. She has coped with the COVID restrictions well and has really enjoyed the regular video calls with you. Looking forward to getting things more back to normal in the coming months so that your mum can truly enjoy your company again.

My father has been in Seaview for two years. The staff are very friendly and approachable, they enable residents to be as independent as possible. They support residents to maintain skills such as using the internet and computers to keep in touch with family and friends. Seaview has an excellent garden where residents can walk in which is essential to there emotional wellbeing and mobility. Prior to the COVID restrictions, the residents were supported to participate in local community events and had many visiting groups and speakers. My father thinks the food is excellent - especially the homemade cakes.
Thank you for your feedback, Elaine. It's a pleasure to support your dad to be as independent as possible. He manages technology really well which gives him much broader access to friends and family. During Covid this has been a real godsend.
I would like to thank the manager and all the team at Seaview Care home for all their hard work and dedication during the recent pandemic. It has been a very difficult time for all the staff, residents and family members during this incredibly stressful period. As a result of the systems and safety...
A huge thank you to everyone at Seaview for keeping my mum safe and sound.
Thank you for your kind words, Alison. We’ve worked hard to keep everyone safe and sound. We really look forward to your visits to the home when this is allowed.
In this current pandemic, I thought its a good idea to offer my opinion of the treatment my mum receives at Seaview. In this current pandemic, I thought its a good idea to offer my opinion of the treatment my mum receives at Seaview. She has been a resident for over 5-years now, and although weaker, she is as good as I could ever hope for! Now in her 90th year, I marvel at how well she does, and in my view, this is down to the care she receives from every member of staff, from the manager, through all of the roles provided. People tend to forget that there are a number of roles fulfilled by the laundry guys, the domestics, the cooks, the carers, the official role, the maintenance guys and the nurses, all of whom make up a wonderful caring team! I have no knowledge of other care homes, but I doubt the Seaview Team can be bettered, and the caring attitude shows through with every single person. My utmost thanks to you all, and the way you smile though what is a difficult, and dangerous time, and I'm sure that the residents appreciate you as well! Keep safe for them and me!
Thank you so much for your kind words. It is both our pleasure and privilege to look after your mum. We've worked tirelessly to keep everyone safe at Seaview and will continue to do so. Thanks again.
This care home is by far the best. I know it is a purpose-built home which must be better than a conversion. Can I just say that the staff, form the Manager to the Cleaners is superb. The manager has set a very impressive team who are doing a wonderful job. I must also say that the food is first...

The manager has set a very impressive team who are doing a wonderful job. I must also say that the food is first class. From my observation, I cannot fault anything and my wife is very happy at Seaview.

My husband has had several respite breaks at Seaview House and even though his condition led to some very challenging behaviour on his part, I couldn't praise the staff highly enough in the way they cared for him. It is very hard when you need to leave a loved one in someone else's care, but it was...
The only negative thing for him is the distance from home, so I reluctantly have asked for respite closer to home, though I would recommend the service shown by staff and management to anyone considering Seaview House and reassure them that their loved one would be in safe and caring hands.
Thank you so much for this review Lesley. It's been a pleasure to care for your husband and although it's a difficult journey for you both we would welcome him again any time at Seaview.
Quite simply it is an excellent home and one which I am very happy with.

Nursing care is excellent in Seaview, staff are quick to pick up and act on any concerns they have, care staff are welcoming and have good relationships with residents and visitors alike. Seaview provides a relaxed, safe and happy atmosphere for residents and I'm very fortunate to have been able to have my mother cared for here. The manager is very approachable, knowledgeable and supportive.
My partner has recently moved to another care home having spent a year at Seaview House Nursing Home. My partner has dementia. I was happy with his care the staff were attentive and caring. I always felt that he was safe and cared for in every way. The management was supportive and always available...
I was always informed about the health or problems relating to my partner. I never had any worries about his care. The recent move was to his being nearer as my visits involved tiring long journeys.
