My mum has lived at Blackfaulds for over 2 years now I cannot praise all the staff enough for all that they do, we are always made to feel very welcome when we visit. The home has a lovely homely setting and the gardens are beautifully presented and well looked after. Mum enjoys the food options and there is always cups of tea and cake on hand. They have good relations with the local school who often come to visit/entertain the residents and they invited us to watch their nativity dress rehearsal which was great fun. They often have singers in entertaining the residents and in the better weather they enjoy days out away from the home as well. Blackfaulds is an all round great home which has given us peace of mind that our mum is being well looked after and that she is safe.
Thank you for your lovely words and it is a pleasure to look after such a wonderful lady, she makes me smile every day. Anne
At end of last year she wasn't well. The staff have worked with her and I must say she has improved dramatically. During summer months staff had her out on trips. She loves when home has entertainment. Infact I have tonight just been seeing photos and videos of singers and all the residents have smiles and sing.
Staff brought my mum to my 60th party this year ; at the end of last year that didn't seem possible. There is a cabin in the gardens and we have had few parties here as mum can't walk, also extended family large. It is brilliant and is always clean tidy and staff have even put up our decorations. Mum was 80 and cabin far enough so other residents not getting disturbed.
Fantastic team
Thank you so much the staff all work very hard and they really do all care
We are absolutely delighted with the superb level of care my papa is receiving at Blackfaulds. The difference in his wellbeing compared to other homes he has previously been in is remarkable. He is visibly much better cared for, far more comfortable, and happier.
The staff show real warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail, and it's clear they truly value the people they look after. Knowing he is in safe and caring hands gives our family peace of mind. We are so grateful to everyone at Blackfaulds for the outstanding support they provide.
Thank you for your feedback and kind words, RP is a lovely gentleman and a pleasure to have in the home. Anne and all the staff at Blackfaulds

They sit with her and listen to her and have helped her settle so well and so quickly.
I never expected her to use the lounge or dinning hall and they have managed that in a couple of month.
They go above and beyond when it is their biiryhday making the day as special as possible even making a cake.

My Dad settled in really well and is always clean and tidy, which our family is grateful for. We as a family are settled knowing my Dad is getting great care.

Thank you for your kind words, JM is a total ray of sunshine and her smile lights up the room, it is our pleasure to be able to look after her. Anne
My Pupa has recently became a resident of Blackfaulds Nursing Home. He is always presentable, clean and happy when we visit every week. The staff are so friendly and very supportive and helpful to all the residents. They go above and beyond by having celebrations and always keeping the residents happy and occupied. They also have live music occasionally for the residents, which is nice to them participating in dancing and enjoying themselves, and the staff join in also. There is always something fun for the residents to do. Me and my family appreciate everything they do, so kind and caring! The care home overall is always clean, never had any issues at all, and the meals always look and smell amazing. We are so thankful to the team at Blackfaulds, such a great place.

Whilst she has been here, she has received fantastic care and she has been happy while being cared for.
We love that the care home has met her needs and that she is cared for by such kind and considerate staff. Our family feels so lucky that she is receiving her best care in her most fragile years.
I love being able to watch what my gran has been up to through the private social media group.

The home hosts great parties and we are always made to feel extremely welcome.
Management is always available if an issue was to arise.
Thank you all the staff for everything you do for my friend and other residents.
Thank you for your kind review. We are so pleased that you are happy with both your and your friends experience of Blackfaulds. Your review really means a lot you us.
The activity programme is excellent and is tailored to meet the needs of all residents with varying levels of capabilities. They organise day trips to local attractions and there's an excellent programme of exchange visits to and from the village school. The children provide entertainment, pamper days and help with the gardening. There are also singers and musicians which the residents enjoy. They sing along and if they can have a wee dance. The staff are very professional, helpful, friendly and caring, ensuring the residents' needs are met at all times. They always keep Mum well looked after and try to keep her spirits up which can sometimes be a challenge. She's recently been very ill but with the care she's been given here, she's now back on track. The staff quickly realise when she is not quite herself, needs extra attention or geeing up. They have been supportive towards the family and we can't thank them enough.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. The positive feedback means so much to all of us.
Mum is well looked after. She was ill and still not herself. Due to the persistence of the staff, they discovered a deficiency in vitamin D which made all the difference. She is now back to her old self. There are lots of entertainment for them. They have parties throughout the year bringing residents, families and staff together. It is like an extended family.
Your feedback is very much appreciated, thank you so much for your kind words.
My brother has now resided in Blackfaulds House Nursing Home for nine months, during which time he has received excellent care. Staff are diligent, patient and extremely caring at all times. Visitors are made welcome at all times and kept abreast of the excellent programme of activities designed to keep residents active, entertained and happy. I have the highest respect for everything that goes on in Blackfaulds. Thank you.
Thank you for your lovely review, we really appreciate your kind words, they mean a lot to us.
My dad who sadly passed away in April had been living here since September my mum was already here since January 2021. Blackfaulds is bar none the best nursing home. My mum and dad had the very best care they could have wished for and the love and respect the staff show to all residents is unsurpassed. It is a true team and genuine work-family atmosphere. I could never recommend this wee home highly enough and will always be grateful for my mum and dad's happy days there.
Thank you for your positive review. It was a pleasure caring for your mum and dad.
My grandmother has dementia and has been living at Blackfaulds for 3.5 years now. She is cared for with dignity, love and respect and this has been demonstrated even more so with the way the team have handled her end-of-life care. As a family, we have been embraced by the Blackfaulds community with compassion, especially during the difficulties that come with end-of-life care. On a day-to-day basis, the atmosphere at the home is jolly. There’s a great variety and quality of food for residents and the cleanliness is impeccable. A lot of effort goes into planning a range of fun activities throughout the year, which family members are encouraged to participate in and this enhances the feeling of community.
Thank you for your lovely review. Your review means a lot to us at Blackfaulds.
Both my mother and good friend have been at Blackfaulds House Nursing Home in the past and now my husband, who has Alzheimer’s. I was so pleased that a room became available for my husband. I know that he is being cared for very well. All the staff are brilliant, so friendly and caring. The family and I are always kept informed of any issues. The social media group keeps us up to date with activities etc. and it is lovely to see the residents enjoying themselves. My husband has put on weight since he arrived and looks so much happier. Thank you to all at Blackfaulds. I would definitely recommend you.
Thank you for your kind review. It’s really good to hear that you are happy with the care at Blackfaulds.
