Blackfaulds staff cared for my dad from March 2020 until he passed away recently. Right from meeting the manager to viewing the home, we were made to feel welcome. Once dad moved in all the staff were very friendly, accommodating and answered any questions we had regarding dads care. When Covid lockdowns
were in place we were regularly updated on dads health and well-being, as well as live updates regarding visiting rules via Facebook page that was set up for families of residents. Dad received the best care from all staff even when he could be very difficult to handle, he was treated gently, patiently and with respect. The end of life care dad and our family received from all staff was outstanding and made a very difficult time a lot easier.

My dad was left in hospital for 2 months while waiting to go into a care home suffering from dementia when Blackfaulds House Nursing Home said that would take him in. Dad was not mobile in bed or sitting in a chair. All the staff were great with him even when he hit them bit them kicking them and knocking
his meals all over the place. This was the Dementia they said not him he was well looked after over his 15months in the home. All staff from management to domestic would always go that one step further to make him comfortable and feed and hygiene standards were maintained and his stay was in a safe environment. Due to the pandemic, we were kept informed of his well being. Cleanliness and care were 2nd to none. I would gladly recommend this care home to anyone.
P. S no residents were ill because the standards were meet 24/ 7 at a high level. Thank You Team Blackfaulds.

Blackfaulds is a very caring and professional care home in beautifully well kept grounds. They have the needs of my dad at the centre of all they do. My dad is cared for with respect and dignity. The staff are so flexible, friendly and professional, it’s such a pleasure to visit.

Brilliant staff and great facilities - my Dad is very well looked after and couldn't rate the staff high enough especially their care and covid policies. The sensual garden and outside space is amazing - proper care.

The staff at Blackfaulds have the care of the residents at the very core of everything they do and regularly go above and beyond. Throughout this last year especially they have demonstrated that even in extremely difficult circumstances they maintain the highest standards of care.

My mother was admitted in 2018 after a stroke caused serious brain damage, affecting her speech and mobility. The staff at the home gave her the utmost of care, tending to her every need including personal care. Our family, never having experienced having a relative in a care facility, assumed that
this high standard of care was the norm. That was until the home had to close for a time due to a kitchen fire. This was when we truly realised just how well cared for my mother was being. The care home she was sent to temporarily, clearly did not have anything close to the same standards and we desperately wanted her back to Blackfaulds. So, when Blackfaulds did reopen, it felt like a relief and an assurance that she would be and was properly cared for until she eventually passed away in July 2020. So, on behalf of our family, l would again like to thank all of the staff for the care, the professionalism and the dignity shown to our mum. Also, the care shown to our family in our bereavement.
