My complaint is the refusal by a senior staff member to tell me how my mum is.
Thank you for your feedback and please accept my apology that the information was not shared with you. I have reviewed this with the Home and they have confirmed that they were instructed to only share information with the Legal Power of Attorney. Mhairi began working in care in 1989 and was a day centre coordinator for Age Concern in Northern Ireland. When Mhairi moved back to Scotland in 2009, she began working at Etive House. Having initially applied for a post as a Senior Carer, she was encouraged to apply for the role of Unit Manager, and eventually, when the opportunity arose for a position within the home as Deputy Manager, Mhairi tentatively applied and was delighted to be the successful candidate. Mhairi has loved seeing how the home has progressed over the years and being an integral part of it. She also enjoys working closely with the residents and the care team, spending time with them, and having the opportunity to take on new ideas and suggestions to make the home the best it can possibly be for its staff and residents.
