Cardonald Care Home is situated in the outskirts of Glasgow and offers residential, dementia and nursing care in a 35 bedroom setting.

The team are experienced and committed to providing care that meets the health and wellbeing needs of each resident. Respect and kindness are at the heart of their practice, and they work hard to ensure every person at the home feels valued. This is achieved not only through personalised care that is designed around the unique needs of each resident, but also by spending time with each person and getting to know them as an individual.

A real home from home, Cardonald Care Home offers comfortable and cosy living spaces with areas dedicated to helping those living with dementia. All rooms are en suite to provide privacy for residents, but there are also lots of spacious living areas to promote socialisation and provide a place for loved ones to come and spend time at the home.

My wife has had the best care possible from the staff at Cardonald Care Home. The home is beautiful and I know my wife is getting the best possible care to make her comfortable.

Mum has been cared for beyond our expectations - with care and compassion, humour and dignity. We cannot praise the staff highly enough - particularly two members of staff. All the staff have treated Mum with the utmost care and compassion.

I live in Ireland and knowing this the staff have been kind and understanding and flexible over my visits although Covid has made it difficult. Mum has been well cared for in a clean, warm and comfortable environment. The staff appear to be very caring towards her and she has even put on weight that

Cardonald Care Home takes great care of our mum. The staff are always helpful and friendly. We are very pleased with the high standard of care - particularly throughout the pandemic, which has been very stressful for all of us. However, we take comfort from the fact that she has been kept so safe and

My mum has been a resident in this care home since 2016. During this time she has been treated with respect and compassion. As her illness has deteriorated the staff have patiently guided her through the rough times and her misunderstanding of all changes.
Lockdown has had an effect on her wellbeing
but the staff have coped admirably, with patience and love, qualities that show that they are working with the residents as individuals and not patients like in a hospital setting.

My mum has been in Cardonald for over two years now. Still has her off days of staying in the home, but overall has settled. Staff are excellent, in not for them, home would be entirely different. Would be good if rooms were upgraded to include a shower facility. I know this comes down to money. Overall,
Cardonald is a very good home.

From the time my mother had to move into full-time nursing care, due to dementia, I have found Cardonald nursing home has provided a warm and welcoming environment for her, and reassurance through ongoing communication with staff that we had made the right choice. All of my mother's needs are attended
to and the challenges of her condition dealt with respect. Physical, medical and emotional needs are met both day and night and the challenges of Covid negated.

On my mother arriving in the care home I couldn't have been more welcomed, the standard of care is highly noticeable and of an extremely high quality. Cardonald Care Home have done an outstanding job in keeping my mum happy and content in a pandemic. It has been very difficult to not have been allowed in throughout this time. Now allowed in and it is great to see how well my mum is and to see how happy she is reacting with all the staff.

I have been visiting this home for some years now. At the beginning, I was not impressed at all. However, in recent times, I have seen a much better standard of care for my friend. Her relations are not local, so she does not get many visitors. There also is a much better atmosphere in the home. My
friend is a quiet person who doesn't generally like too much attention. She now seems much more settled and at ease in the home.

My auntie was a resident in Cardonald for nearly 2 years, the care she received was caring and compassionate even when her behaviour was challenging she was treated with dignity. The staff are warm friendly and throughout this pandemic have kept residents safe. My auntie loved to sing and dance and
even though we couldn't visit inside the home we were kept up to date on the social media page that was set up the communication throughout was great, it was wonderful to see her happy. My mum was a resident too (my auntie's sister) she passed in August last year and was treated like one of their own too. I would 100% recommend Cardonald to anyone the carers are amazing and I classed them as friends. Unfortunately, my aunt passed away 2 weeks ago but I will be forever grateful for the care and love my mum and auntie received from the staff at Cardonald care home.
