Springhill staff were excellent in the way they cared for my mother, as she can be quite difficult sometimes.
From the minute she arrived she was very well attended to by the staff who all made an effort to get to know her and find out her needs/ requirements. Overall staff were very friendly, professional
and caring. My mother was only in for a short respite period but would have no hesitation in making her stay permanent if that was required.

I am so pleased I chose Cardonald Care home for my mum. After having a terrible experience with my mums previous care home I can honestly say I wish I moved my mum to Cardonald sooner. The care home manager is fantastic so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The whole team are lovely. My mum has
only been in the home for 10 days but this place has a professional, transparent and friendly feeling when you walk in which instantly puts you at ease. My mums mood has lifted since she been here and she looks great every time I go to see her. Alzheimer's is an awful condition but I leave Cardonald feeling happy knowing my mum is safe & well looked after. I'm no longer sitting in a care home car park crying because this place doesn't have that sad feeling, the staff go out their way to make things special for the residents. The staff here are so knowledgeable and respectful, I have no regrets moving my mum & I am so happy she is liking her new home. Well done and the team.

My friend's mother has settled in well since joining the Springhill family. She is happy, comfortable, and well-cared for and likes to join in with the entertainment and all activities. This gives my friend peace of mind knowing that she is safe, well looked after and treated with dignity and respect.
Every time we visit the staff are friendly and we are made to feel welcome.

My mum has settled well and regularly attends art/craft group which she tells me she likes. She loves to participate in the entertainment singing and dancing and go out in the mini bus on day trips. This is great as I don't drive and would have been unable to take her on trips further afield. The staff
are always kind & considerate to mum and always make us feel welcome and included when we visit. I'm so glad mum has joined the Springhill family. Mum has had a new lease of life and is happy to be part of the Springhill family. This gives me peace of mind knowing she is safe and well looked after. Any concerns regarding mum are dealt with quickly and we are always kept up to date with information that concerns mum.

The staff in the care home are so nice, very helpful, obliging, kind. They have all been great to my father and us. The process of getting my father here has been very difficult and the staff here have made us feel very reassured and we know my dad is safe. We can call for anything and nothing is a
bother to them. We are very grateful. My only complaint is the cost. Its absolutely shocking that a self fundor pays more.

Carers and nursing staff very good and listen to any comment about my mother I make. Wide range of entertainment provided and excellent activity coordinators, manger very proactive in sorting any issues. My concern is that on occasions there does seem to be many carers on floor. Mum's unit recently
done up which has made difference to lounge/dining area. Disappointed that decor in Mum's room only painted walls. Carpet a bit grubby and fabric chair that smells a bit, not ideal. Admin staff pleasant and helpful though billing a problem at times.

Reply from Michelle Hutchison, Care Home Manager at Springhill Nursing Home

Many thanks for your kind words regarding the team we are delighted that you feel listened to and all issues are dealt with. The unit that your mum lives on did undergo an extensive refurb with all rooms painted including corridor and the communal area undergoing a full refurb. As always i listened and the chair has been replaced. We are currently undergoing further upgrades to the home and the note on the carpet has been taken on board. Once again many thanks for your kind comments the staff and myself are delighted. Michelle

I am actually blown away with the care and support my mum received at such a difficult time of year.
Mum was admitted to this care home just before Christmas, we were cautious and worried that she wouldn't settle, however the manager was lovely, she made us all feel so welcome. The parties were constant
and they even had a New Year's Day party. It's was open for everyone for Christmas and New Years lunch.
An amazing place to be and I would have no hesitation on recommending.

I am happy with the standard of care that my sister has received from the staff of Stobhill Care Home. She has been in the care home for almost 6 weeks now. As I don't live locally, I will be unable to visit regularly, so it's good to know that she is well cared for and the staff are attentive to her
needs. However, recently, I was able to visit her on 4 consecutive days and each time came away with a good impression of the care home. All the staff I encountered, were friendly and made me feel welcome. I was also given the opportunity to attend a local church for tea and cake, along with my sister and a few other residents as well as 2 activity co-ordinators. It's good to see that the care home is involved with the local community. Thank you to all concerned.

My dad has been in Stobhill Care Home for a few months now.
