My mum Sandie M came to Stobhill Care facility MARCH 2025. AT first she was upset. It took her a bit time to settle. We as family see her almost daily. All staff are lovely. They refer to her by name. They also introduce themselfs to the family. Staff are pleasant, helpful, they interact with Mum. She enjoys the activitie, outings. Her room is lovely. We are grateful our mum is now in a safe, caring inviroment, we can approach any member of staff who are always avaiable to listen. Thank you.

In all the time my mum has been a resident at Stobhill Care Home, I have been very happy and satisfied with the care that she receives. I have found the staff to be caring, kind and respectful to my mum's needs and requirements. My mum seems to be very happy and settled, and that has given myself and my family great relief and comfort that she is being well looked after.

Review from D S (Sister of Resident) published on 7 January 2025 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

I am happy with the standard of care that my sister has received from the staff of Stobhill Care Home. She has been in the care home for almost 6 weeks now. As I don't live locally, I will be unable to visit regularly, so it's good to know that she is well cared for and the staff are attentive to her needs. However, recently, I was able to visit her on 4 consecutive days and each time came away with a good impression of the care home. All the staff I encountered, were friendly and made me feel welcome. I was also given the opportunity to attend a local church for tea and cake, along with my sister and a few other residents as well as 2 activity co-ordinators. It's good to see that the care home is involved with the local community. Thank you to all concerned.

My dad has been in Stobhill Care Home for a few months now. We feel he is very well looked after and all his physical and mental needs are being addressed he seems to be nicely settled, he is all and has dementia and very limited sight. Staff all seem to be very pleasant and helpful. My dad loves the visits to various places and the entertainers who come into the care home. As a family we are very happy with the care our dad is getting.

Overall, my mother's experience was good. She was kept safe and staff were nice with her. My mum didn't experience any activities as she attended a day centre Monday to Friday. The only negative I would say is the bath/shower routine. I had to ask staff to bath my mother and only recognised her having been bathed twice in the month she was is. She can be stubborn and would refuse, but I feel the issue should have been overruled for hygiene reasons.

Although Mum's residence in the home was fairly short due to her unexpected passing on 19th February, she was enjoying her time with staff and residents. The staff, in particular, were kind, loving and patient and she greeted them all with cuddles. I cannot praise the staff - from carers, nurses, kitchen and domestic enough. Every one of them is a credit to the home.

During the time Mum has been in Stobhill I have had the most positive experience. Mum took ill with another stroke and can I say the staff from top to bottom all were concerned and showed great love for Mum and for us her family. This was a hard decision for me to make putting Mum into care but all I have to say is it has been the best thing I have done for her. She's happy and very well cared for. "Well done."

My husband has been a resident at Stobhill for over 12 months with Parkinson's disease and Dementia.
From arrival, both my husband and the whole family have received compassionate, friendly and thoughtful care.
The staff and management create a friendly, empathetic environment alongside professional care. On visits, we are always made to feel welcome no matter what time of the day and I know my husband feels safe and secure.

I am so pleased our family chose Stobhill.

My mum has now been in Stobhill Care Home for seven months. I knew from the moment I visited I had chosen the correct place for her. All staff are caring, compassionate and very friendly to both residents and their relatives. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. She has been encouraged to join in all activities, and her days are kept busy, which she loves. I am very happy with how she has settled in. The care she receives is first class.

My mum and dad have recently been admitted to your care home. Ever since the first day, the management and staff have been very helpful. I am pleased with the care my mum and dad have been given. I am so happy that I picked this care home. It is very homely and a very friendly environment. The staff and management have a great team, and they do everything to keep them happy and entertained. All my family and myself feel relaxed and happy that they are both in a friendly and safe environment.

I think everyone is very friendly in the care home. Even though there is a language barrier, the staff have tried their best and understand my needs. The room facilities are comfortable, and I like it. The food here is very nice, but I think I need to drink more water throughout the day. The activities held in the care home are very fun, and I enjoy them very much. The environment here is very clean, and I enjoy staying here a lot.

Although my mum was only a resident here for a few months, post-stroke, she was cared for to a high standard. She was treated with dignity, and the staff were always patient to understand her needs. Her condition was quite poor when she was discharged from the hospital, but the care staff gave her encouragement and involved her in various pastimes/outings. I was very grateful that my mum got to spend her last months here. Thank you.

My dad has been in Stobhill Care Home for a few months, and during this time, I have found the care he has received to be excellent, and it really made me happy that my decision to put him in care was the correct decision. I viewed several homes and believe my choice of Stobhill was correct. The staff, cleanliness, care and feedback have been superb. Would like to say thank you to all for the care my dad is receiving.
