Greencross Nursing Home & Lodge

I have been visiting my sister in law in Greencross Nursing Home & Lodge since December 2020. The care she has received is second to none, from all levels of staff. Nursing staff always keep us up to date with all issues. First-class care.

Myself and my wife selected the nursing home based on its official ratings. We wanted somewhere for my Mum where we could feel sure that she would be comfortable and well looked after by qualified staff. The home and its staff make you feel so welcome as a visitor nothing is too much trouble for them. My mum has been so well cared for and what is particularly pleasing is the fact that the staff are mostly long term employees which allows a good relationship to build up with the patient in addition they have dedicated care teams for each part the home.

Our dad moved to Green Cross at beginning of November 2019 having been at another care home for a good number of years prior to that. Four months later, Covid 19 struck. We are so blessed as a family to have placed our dad in a place that genuinely cares for him. This has been so important over this time when we have hardly been able to see him. Every single member of staff are so caring and communication is superb. When speaking with him you can see the affection he holds for the staff members there. Can't thank every one of them enough.

I have resided here since February. The staff are very friendly and approachable. My room is lovely with an open outlook. I have enjoyed the delicious meals provided here. Also having wonderful keyworkers who I really like, keen to help, support and advise if required.

In this care home for these times has been very strange. The staff have been close and we can talk about it with the other residents. At this time we have been keen to know what is happening in other countries and stay safe.

Great staff very caring and understanding. Always puts residents first.

Greencross has been looking after my sister for approx 3-years now, and the family are delighted with the care she receives from the super staff. Extremely helpful, friendly and experienced. They go out of their way to ensure the best service possible. The family cannot thank them enough.

My first visit to see my dad since lockdown with all measures in place, with staff ensuring we adhered to them. My dad looked very well, relaxed and in good form. He was seated in a comfy shed, brightly decorated and painted. This is a new construction and is perfectly suited for current requirements. My family and I are so happy with the care my dad receives at this home.

During the recent lockdown, the staff at Greencross Nursing Home & Lodge have shown great care and concern for my father. We have been unable to visit for over 5 months but have felt assured that his mental and physical wellbeing were being taken care of during this difficult time.

Because of Covid-19 I have only been able to see my husband once a week, but I know that he is getting first-class care. I only have to phone any time for an update on his condition and the staff are only too willing to give me information.

Staff are all great with residents and family. They keep you updated and all through lockdown I could phone in any time to speak to my uncle.

Was able to meet up with my brother again in surroundings within the garden of the care home. A lot of thought has been put into the visits. The staff are complying with government guidelines and nothing is too much trouble to them. The staff are good at keeping relatives informed of what is happening within the home and always on hand to answer questions.

My brother is in the home and he has been well looked after. We visit every second Friday and my brother visits on alternate Fridays so he sees one of us every week.

I cannot recommend Greencross Nursing Home enough. My brother was there for 6 years. Unfortunately, he passed away in June this year. During the time he was there he received care that was second to none! The staff are amazing, they treat the residents with respect and care for them lovingly. My brother was treated like family, he was happy there and I trusted them to take care of him, which they did with love right up to the day he died. I thank each and every one of the staff there for the way they take care of the residents.

Brillant service by all staff today for my mother in law's birthday. She had a brilliant day and they welcomed all the family to come along and join the day.

My Dad, who has dementia, is a resident. I am extremely pleased and overwhelmed with the care my Dad receives. As a family, we have no complaints at all. The staff are great and care a great deal about the residents. The home itself is lovely and clean. There are bright pictures and photos all around, it's very welcoming. It's great to know my Dad is being taken care of so well.
