Mum initially entered Bearehill Care Home for respite care but has now become a permanent resident.
Mum has settled in really well and is happy in her new surroundings.
There is a lovely, caring atmosphere in the home which is due to the staff who work hard to ensure the residents are very well looked after and cared for with empathy and understanding.

We, as a family, have been made to feel very welcome every time we visit and it gives us great peace of mind knowing that Mum is being cared for by such a wonderful team.

My dad was a resident here for 3 months before returning home and I was very impressed with his care. The staff, every one of them, is so caring, friendly, cheerful, chatty, helpful and of course professional. Nothing is too much bother. The place has a lovely welcoming feel to it. I feel that wonderful care is the most important aspect of a care home and the staff at Bearehill Care Home certainly fulfil that criteria and more.
The management team are very approachable and they and the nursing staff are happy to take time to answer your questions.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bearehill.

When my husband went into lovely Bearehill Care Home from hospital, he was a poor soul just lost, in no time at all he is settled, content and happy thanks to your patient, kind and friendly staff. Nothing is too much troubled, the go over and above their call of duty, all with a smile. The fact that he has settled so well so soon is a godsend to me. After fifty years of marriage, he was a big miss but for myself and my family, a huge peace of mind knowing he is in your very happy home. Thank you one and all, it's a pleasure to visit and always made to feel at home. God bless.

My father has been a resident of Bearehill Care Home for 6 years now. During this time he has been well looked after. Staff are very helpful, kind and considerate with plenty of activities to do and outings. The manager has improved the home since he acquired his role. I feel there is still a number of improvements to be made yet. The home is in need of upgrading, and decorating of the corridor and a number of resident's rooms all over the home.

Reply from Richard Lake, Home Manager at Bearehill Care Home
Thanks for taking the time to review the home, we are currently re-decorating the corridors and replacing lighting with daylight bulbs giving a brighter appearance.

A family member of mine uses the services you provide.
During my visits, I have always been greeted by the supporting staff and made to feel at ease in a caring safe facility.
I feel my family is involved in activities and there is no sign of her in isolation. She receives good food at regular intervals, has a clean change of clothes, has good personal care daily and interacts with the support Staff to a high standard.

I feel confident to leave my family member in the care facility as I know I can trust them in all aspects of her personal care.

Dad has been a long-term resident at Bearehill Care Home and we have always found the staff happy and considerate. After a short stay in the hospital in November, Dad was accepted back into Bearehill to recuperate under their care. All the nurses and carers have been exceedingly patient and understanding with him and we can't thank them enough for the care and attention he has had. I reckon the atmosphere in Bearehill is second to none and the caring team all deserve big hugs. Thank you so much ladies, and gents. Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for the year ahead.

My wife was in the hospital for six months from January to June and was unable to get into our home as now in a wheelchair and unable to get in and out of our home, now she needs a wheelchair-friendly house so went into Bearehill Care Home for respite. She was very scared of going into the home but the staff put her totally at ease from the very start. The staff can't do enough for her, and the carers are more like friends we can't thank them enough for all they do for her. Everyone from the domestic cooks, carers, laundry and management, makes it feel like a home. I always feel at ease when visiting, the food is excellent too. I hope to get my wife home soon but know that she will miss the friendships at the home.

We are beyond happy with all the recent improvements to Bearhill Care Home, and love seeing all the posts on the social media page.
We live 30 miles away, so it's wonderful for us to see all the activities going on since new management have been in place.
The new management obviously have the resident's care as the highest of their priorities - which of course is as it should always be - and it's just wonderful

Thank you so much.

My mum has been a service user at Bearehill since November 2021. My review is nothing but positive. At all times when I've visited, Mum has appeared happy and comfortable in her surroundings. There are always lots of activities taking place with service users' interests and capabilities in mind. Nutritional needs are catered for and from what I've witnessed, meals are prepared and served to a high standard. The staff are nothing but reassuring and go above and beyond to ensure everyone is happy. The New manager, has done wonders recently, introducing a new activity program, which is person-centred. I regularly follow the home's social media page, as I live a considerable distance from Bearehill, I'm unable to visit as often as I would like so social media allows me to keep up to date with how Mum's been spending her days. Well done everyone at Bearehill. You are all amazing, keep doing what you're doing.
