Overall Experience

My mother used this care home in 2017. We were very impressed with everything from the cleaners to the management and everybody in between. The care and attention given to residents is unequalled in any home I've been in and I've worked in a fair few over the years.

It is homely, spotlessly clean, with excellent nutritious food, a good activity programme and beautiful gardens.

The care is professional with attention to detail giving great respect to both resident plus family members and with plenty of humour thrown in for good measure. I could not recommend it highly enough. I have experienced 6 nursing homes in Dundee for different family members over many years. This was the best by a long shot.

Overall Experience

My mum has lived here for 2/3 years. She took a little time to settle, which is normal, I suppose. But now she seems content and spends most of her days in the social areas.

She loves the food and has a really friendly relationship with most of the staff and some of the residents. She likes the old movies, quizzes and sing-alongs.

Overall, since refurbishment, it is a really smart, welcoming care home.

Overall Experience

More outings needed a mini bus would be the answer for local picnic etc. (Shared at Dundee Homes). But in all Moyness is a very good home e.g Food is very good. Care is good. Now started activities which was badly needed! All in all outings are the main concern. Flowers in every room would be great!!

Overall Experience
My wife was admitted to the care Home in April 2013 after five years of being cared for at home without no outside help whatsoever. She suffers from Lewy Bodies Disease, a form of dementia, and eventually, I could no longer cope with the physical and mental stress of 24/7 caring and eventually accepted that there was no alternative to long-term care in a nursing home. With hindsight, it was the best decision in both our interests, albeit the most difficult decision of my life. After a few weeks apprehension, worrying how she was affected and how she was being treated, I was completely reassured that all was well and I now have every confidence in the nursing and caring staff. I am updated on every aspect of her care, however minor and on changes in her overall situation. Most of the staff are very good, the others are excellent. All are extremely competent and professional, yet very friendly and approachable.

I visit on a daily basis, with no time restrictions, other than meal times and on occasion I am invited to stay for a meal. Overall, I can only express complete satisfaction and would certainly commend this particular care home to anyone finding themselves in a similar situation to mine.
