Overall Experience

My aunt has made considerable overall improvement since her temporary arrival at Braefield Nursing & Residential Care Home in February 2016. It is a real mark of the level of care and personal attention that she chose personally to stay permanently at Braefield Nursing & Residential Care Home. We feel she is very safe here and nothing seems to be too much trouble. It is the combination of professional nursing care and very devoted and kind attention that reassures our family.

My family cannot thank the staff and management enough for all their kindness and support. My mother has greatly improved since coming to this nursing home.

Overall Experience
My wife and I are both nurses. Five years ago the mental and physical health of my parents began to deteriorate significantly and we knew that a care home was becoming inevitable. We sounded out our contacts amongst local healthcare professionals and Braefield kept coming up as one of the best locally.
When the crisis eventually hit we were relieved that Braefield could accommodate them together.
When my father finally succumbed to the ravages of a a life long illness we publicly thanked the staff for their care and dedication at his funeral and we meant it.
Yesterday my mother became ill and was admitted to the hospital I work In. The staff I work with made a point of praising the Braefield staff on her appearance and the comprehensive documentation accompanying her, rare praise indeed for a nursing home.

The fact that We're still dealing with the same staff we met years ago says a lot about about continuity of care, staff retention and the caring ethos of Braefield.

Overall Experience

The care and attention my mother received was outstanding, everything from the food to the surroundings, her room, living and dining areas in the nursing wing was kept immaculate. The staff were always approachable and made my mum feel like she was their number one priority. Before arriving at Braefield my mother was a little anxious but soon became very settled due to the excellent care staff and managers.

Overall Experience
My mother passed away peacefully in Braefield Nursing Home last week. She had been a resident there for approximately 18 months. Throughout her stay in Braefield my mother was visited almost daily by family, what we witnessed was outstanding care, patience and devotion to all the residents. I was particularly impressed with the professional attitude of all the staff and the time they took to speak with relatives, communication was excellent. In a very short time we were able to relax knowing that she was in a safe environment, a home from home.

We will be forever indebted to the all the staff in Braefield for the exceptional care given to our mother throughout the last years of her life, and the support and kindness shown to the family during the lasts days of her life. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home.

Overall Experience

My mother has been in Braefield Nursing Home for four and a half years and has been cared for in a very professional way. She is very content in her surroundings and relates happily with a smile on her face to all the staff. As family members we are always treated with the utmost courtesy when we visit. We are updated daily on Mum's social and medical well being. Braefield always has an air of happiness and contentment and that applies to both staff and residents. We feel very lucky that Mum now resides in the best Nursing home we have ever visited. The staff are very caring, special people.
