What can I say about Dunanney other than I love everything about it. My dad went there in October 2020. I didn't know what to expect but from day one they were fantastic. The staff go above and beyond. They not only made Dad welcome but our family too. The things they do for residents - crafts, entertainment, ice cream van and many more things. We have gained many friends from Dunanney and I cannot recommend it highly enough. If, like me, you are worried about your loved one going into a home don't be. I tell people about how good it is.
On the whole, I think my aunt is well cared for and is happy.
I do think one or two pictures on the wall would brighten her room up, maybe this is not permitted due to hygiene regulations! However, would stimulate memory and thus promote discussion.
Thank you for your review. We would be delighted to accommodate any pictures which are important to your loved one. Please make arrangements with the home administrator to deliver these and we will ensure that these are hung in your aunt's room at your next visit. Additionally, please liaise with the home manager to maximise the visiting opportunities available within the current guidelines.
I am pleased with the care Mum is getting. She is safe and cared for.
Good Covid checks etc. regarding visiting.
My mother has been in Dunanney Care Centre for eight months and she has been treated with great care and dignity. The staff have always been kind and the standard of nursing care is excellent.
We, as a family, are generally pleased with the care that our aunt is receiving. We would like to be kept more informed hen she is ill, we also understand that the staff are busy. The administrator and the activities therapist are especially good and go out of their way to be helpful.
Happy with the home and the service provided. Staff are friendly and helpful and my daughter is kept safe, clean, and tidy.
Very positive experience to date. Mum is well cared for and washed and dressed. She is happy in the home and enjoys the food and likes the staff.
Staff give 100% care with dignity and compassion at all times.
My husband is happy in Dunanney Care Home.
The care home is very well staffed and clean. The residents, especially my father, are well looked after and he's very comfortable. Nothing is too much for the staff, especially two in particular who are always very helpful.
My father has been a resident of Dunanney Care Home for almost 7 years now, and I have to say it is a lovely wee place. The staff are very friendly and caring towards my dad's needs and nothing is too much trouble for them. They also keep me well informed by telephone and mail if there is anything they feel I should know about my dad's care and wellbeing. This is an excellent choice of care home for anyone who cannot give a loved one the constant care that they need. Highly recommended.
The staff were all very kind and helpful. I was always kept informed about my dad's progress and any other situations, nothing was too much trouble for them. All the staff seemed to have a good bond with my dad which helped my mum and myself during the lockdown periods, as we knew dad was well cared for especially during his last days. All the staff were brilliant!
I have found the staff to be very attentive to my mother's needs and cannot find fault in any way with the care she has been given.
My aunt has dementia. She was wandering the streets sometimes in her pyjamas. She had no sense of time (day or night), she would forget to wash or eat. She was a danger to herself. Since moving to the care home she is safe, clean, well-fed and medication taken care of. The staff are patient, caring, considerate and gentle. I highly recommend this 'home' because that's what it is!
A most excellent residence. Courteous and helpful staff.
Very happy with care and support given to granny and myself.
The staff and management are worth their weight in gold. Thank you to them for the care that they give.
Happy with the care my dad is receiving. Would highly recommend Dunanney Care Centre to anyone in my position regarding my father.
I like living here. The staff are friendly.
