She's at peace now.
My MIL was admitted to this place. Every surface is sticky. She was placed on an air mattress that was not blown up, bedding is full of stains. The previous male occupant departed. His clothes are still there and my MIL was forced to wear it since the staff had put it on her, while her M&S clothes are in the closet. Food is cold and not up to promises. Everything you read about activities and all are nice sounding on the website, but otherwise it's all older person neglect!!! Working on getting her out after 4 days
My mother had serious mental and physical challenges and stayed here for a number of years. I can't speak highly enough of the manager and staff at this home. The home is fresh, clean and warm. Residents are treated with kindness, compassion and in a dignified fashion. Staff are highly competent and I have only good words to say.
An OT needs to be appointed urgently. Prices do not reflect accommodation. Modernisation required. No transport /minibus available to residents needs to be addressed. Funding to provide more activities/games and trips etc for residents.
My Mother was a resident in Rosemount care Home Portadown for 2years until her passing in August 2024. I could not rate all the staff highly enough in their care of looking after my mum. They were very informative regarding her medical needs and helpful and nothing was too much trouble and they were always available for a friendly chat. Definitely an A*. Thank you, Rosemount for all you have done for my Mum.
My sister-in-law has been fortunate to have found a place in this excellent care home. All the staff are so helpful and friendly, it is a happy home and that says a lot! Immaculata looks so happy and smiles whenever they talk to her. In particular, her carer who takes care of my sister-in-law does a great job and is genuinely a caring person. All of the residents are treated with dignity and empathy.
I love that trips to the seaside are organised. There is a beautiful garden in the centre of the complex which looks beautiful at the moment. The place is very clean and tidy at every visit. My overall opinion is that the residents here are fortunate to be in such a well-run and caring home.
We had such a good experience with the staff of Dunanney. From the moment the care manager met my father for assessment, to his placement and later his transfer we could only praise the staff of the home. My father spent just over a week in Dunanney, as a place came up in a home much closer to us. As this was his, and our first experience of care homes, it was quite a traumatic time for us. However, it was all made so much easier, by the kindness and professionalism of the manager and his staff at the home. Across the whole team, from the nursing staff, care assistants, and all the support staff, what sticks in our mind, is how all the staff were always friendly and smiling. They were also fully up to speed on his medical needs and treated my father with dignity and kindness. We are very appreciative that our first experience with a care home was so positive.
My gran has recently moved into the nursing home and I must say she is the happiest she has ever been. The staff go over and above what is expected and she seems so happy and content. The manager has been so informative and welcoming since first meeting my gran in hospital. A fantastic nursing home. Thank you for all your work.
RQIA didn't notice these faults. also, Larchwood was contacted on numerous occasions by myself/my son regarding things that were stolen out of my husband's room/things that were broken/never replaced.
All of the team at Oakleaves showed great care and respect to my mother (who suffered from Alzheimer's) during her stay. She was treated with dignity and respect, and we will be eternally grateful to everyone who played a role in her care. Although we were initially very reluctant for her to go into care, the professionalism of the team was extremely reassuring.
These kind and caring staff were family for my uncle, who sadly passed away in July. We will be forever grateful for their kindness and compassion to him during his years living there and his end-of-life care. Many thanks.
We have meetings with the team/staff to let us know how Mum is getting on, it's good because it gives us peace of mind that Mum is well looked after.
Thanks so much for the kind words in relation to the care of your mother.
Staff very pleasant and work hard to see to the needs of the service user.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate any feedback from families. If we can improve on anything please don't hesitate to let us know.
Myself, my brothers and sisters, our children and grandchildren, would like to thank the management and staff of Oakleaves Care Centre for the care given to our beautiful wee mother during the final months of her life. Their dedication is exceptional. Over the course of our mother’s stay, we were updated on her health on a regular basis. We all agree that we have found new friends for life in Oakleaves, in particular, the manager and another member of staff. Whilst being hesitant to single any of the staff out for mention, we witnessed something very special during the final weekend of our mother’s long life. Having received a phone call to tell us our mother’s dementia had taken a turn for the worse, my wife and I arrived at her room. We saw a member of staff kneeling by her bedside, playing mum’s music box and singing into her ear. We will always treasure this memory. “To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honours.”
Thank you so much for such a beautiful heartfelt review for the staff at Oakleaves. As you mentioned, it is one of the highest honours to provide care for your loved one. We really appreciate your kind words, and it's heart-warming to hear that you, the family and your mum felt valued and cared for...
My experience of Mum's care is excellent. My siblings and I are in regular contact with the staff at Oakleaves and we find that Mum is cared for the best of everyone's ability, despite the gradual progress of her disease. There is excellent communication between the staff and family and we feel fully informed. We are grateful for the kindness and patience shown to Mum by all the staff.
We really appreciate any feedback received from families, especially such a heartfelt response. We genuinely try to keep families up to date and involved as much as possible in the care of their loved one.
I have been working away from home and have come back to visit my granny in the care home. When I visit my granny, she is always well dressed and happy. The staff care for her well and she is looked after, she is always clean and has her hair done.
Thanks so much for your kind review relating to the care of your granny.
The staff in Oakleaves have provided my dad and us, his family, with an amazing service over the past year. He is so well looked after with care and love. The activities for the residents are great, and there is always something going on. Any of Dad's needs are met, and anything he wants is catered for. He has a special diet which is catered for, and the food quality is excellent. The cleaning and laundry services are great. I cannot fault the work done here; I am so grateful that my dad is happy here.
Thank you for writing such a heartfelt response for the team at Oakleaves. We are so glad that our team's care delivery exceeds your expectations, and I will make sure they all receive the recognition they deserve. We are very fortunate to have such a passionate activities coordinator who provides...
Staff are very welcoming and keep us, as a family, up to date with Mum's everyday care. One member of staff is a true angel to Mum and all the staff, showing great empathy and care. Often Mum is distressed on my visits to go to the toilet as her walking is poor and there is someone always at hand with care and personal feelings taken into consideration. The music and events have been done with great effort and style. I look forward to the 70s dance.
Your kind words about the care we provide are really appreciated. We've passed your positive comments on to our team so they can enjoy the praise too. Comments like yours make our work worthwhile. We love that you enjoy attending our events and they wouldn't be the success they are without the support of families like yourself.
The care our dad gets is amazing. Staff are all great with Dad. He is always well looked after. Always looking well. They do loads of activities and different entertainment. Dad seems so content. Keep up the good work folks.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. Feedback such as this keeps us, as a team, motivated to continue doing what we're doing and we are so happy to hear that you have had a good experience. Let us know if we can do anything else for you.
We are happy with the care my mother has been receiving the last few years.
Thank you so much for your feedback. It really makes our day to hear families are happy with the care we deliver.
