Whilst being hesitant to single any of the staff out for mention, we witnessed something very special during the final weekend of our mother’s long life. Having received a phone call to tell us our mother’s dementia had taken a turn for the worse, my wife and I arrived at her room. We saw a member of staff kneeling by her bedside, playing mum’s music box and singing into her ear. We will always treasure this memory. “To care for those who once cared for us is one of the highest honours.”
