Lisburn Care Home is located on the main Hillsborough Road and is convenient for shops, amenities, public transport and the M1 motorway link. The City Centre is within easy reach.

This purpose built care home provides accommodation in single occupancy rooms.

Lisburn provides residents with TV lounges and a quiet sitting room for relaxation. The dining room, where residents can socialise with others at meal times, is also available. Traditional home cooking using fresh produce is served and residents can select from the varied menus available daily. Special diets can be catered for.

The home receives regular visits from an experienced hair stylist and qualified chiropodist.

A variety of activities are provided by the home for residents enjoyment.

When my husband was discharged from hospital, it became clear that he would require twenty-four hour nursing. As well as two strokes which compromised his swallow and left him unable to stand, he had dementia and signs of bowel cancer. Since it was Christmas there was, in the Lisburn area, only one
bed available, and it happened to be in Lisburn Care Home, which might not have been our first choice. He has been resident there for two years, and had his eighty-eighth birthday on 5th February.
Since his admission, various homes have contacted us to say that they do have vacancies, but as well as upsetting my husband’s dementia by a change of location, we feel that Lisburn Care Home is as good as any other in the area.
He considers it a home-from-home, and it would be cruel to let him think otherwise. The staff know him, and he knows them, and we are grateful.

Mum has been a resident for nearly 4 years, the staff are very caring and mum is treated with dignity and respect at all times, even though they are very busy the staff always make time to speak to the residents and families. We live in Scotland and have peace of mind regarding mum, when we visit we
are made to feel very welcome. I ring weekly and the staff take time to bring me up to date, we have never had any issues or concerns regarding mum's care.

When my GP insisted that I should become a resident at a care home and I was advised to live in the one in which I now am a resident, I was apprehensive.
I need not have been. I have never regretted my decision to become a permanent resident. I feel safe, secure and really cared for. The staff are
very considerate.

Mum is well settled here. Unfortunately, as Mum stays mostly in her room she could do with more attention or activities in her room. I understand this is difficult with the pressure the staff is under with their normal work load.
