Somerton Private Nursing Home

I highly recommend this nursing home. After debating for a while whether to place my grandmother into care, I eventually chose Somerton. All of the staff are great, the care she receives is fantastic and more importantly my grandmother is happy. Any issues that arise I am made aware of straight away. I couldn't have chosen a better place for my grandmother.

I am happy with the staff and the way they look after all the men and women in their care. They also are very friendly and helpful if you have any questions.

I am delighted with the standard of care my mother has received since becoming a resident at Somerton. She has flourished, gained weight and seems a lot happier and more at peace. She loves the activities and singsong. The staff are brilliant with her and go the extra mile at all times.

My father has been a resident for four months. The nursing home staff are always very welcoming. The manager and the nursing staff keep us well-informed about my father's care and are always available to answer any questions we may have. The care staff are always very approachable and helpful. The activities are well organised by the very caring coordinator, and I enjoy seeing the photos on the relative's Facebook page.

My mum has been in the care of Somerton Private Nursing Home for a few years now. The standard of care given to her has been excellent. We feel very happy that she has been looked after so well and know that she is in safe hands. The staff, from cleaners to management have been very welcoming to us as a family. We are treated with respect and are informed of everything that happens with Mum. Any issues we have are treated well, and a good communication link exists between us and the home.

Staff are generally friendly, especially "one" whom I commend. I appreciate the range of activities offered to support residents but would remind staff on "pets day" not to assume that all residents like handling small animals such as guinea pigs and others. My mother does not wish these pets placed on her lap at any time as she is uncomfortable with them, but she does like dogs. She also enjoys the music events provided.

My mum is always clean and well cared for and seems happy in her world with all the staff and the home itself, who can care for Mum amazingly. Thank you.

Delighted with service. Staff and management are wonderful and willing to help in any way they can. I would have no problem recommending the care home. Just wanted Mum to get the care she needs, and she gets it here.

I have seen a huge improvement in my mother since she arrived here. She has put on weight, seems more alert and is much cleaner. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and I believe Mother is a lot happier.

I am very pleased with the care provided to my mother since being placed at Somerton. Staff always make themselves available to talk to. I hear communication between staff and residents during my visits; this is always respectful, caring and appropriate. Senior staff make themselves available to discuss care and any issues arising. My mother has settled well and enjoys the company and activities available.

We are extremely pleased with the care and attention given to Mum. The level of care is excellent, and the reassurance of Mum's safety and well-being.

My mother is very content and well cared for, always clean and tidy. The staff are fantastic, extremely helpful and caring and always accommodating. Residents are always treated with dignity and respect. The facilities are very clean, and the garden is well-tended, with beautiful flowers. My mother gets her hair trimmed and tidied regularly and gets lovely blow-dries, also her nails are kept beautifully trimmed and polished if she wants them done. At mealtimes, the food is well present and looks and smells delicious, and my mum enjoys it. I have no concerns and am always happy with the care she receives.

This is the best home my mother has been to. She talks about the activities she takes part in and seems to enjoy them all. She's well looked after, and I would highly recommend this home.

The care my parents have received has been very good. The staff treat the residents with respect and kindness. I felt they supported myself and my husband when my dad was very ill. I am grateful to the staff, as their care and kindness has given me peace of mind.

I am extremely pleased with the care and attention my friend receives. Unfortunately, we lost my friend's husband in the last couple of months, but I have to say the staff went above and beyond to help myself and his family get through this difficult time. I'd highly recommend this care home.

My mum is well looked after. Very happy with staff; nurses are brilliant and very caring. Nurses look after my mum's health and well-being; they are fantastic.

Staff are care home received my father with very short notice. Despite that, they all treated him with kindness and professional care. They treated me exactly the same. I now walk into a beautiful, calm building knowing he is clean, safe, cared for and loved. I thank all the staff from the bottom of my heart.
