Somerton Private Nursing Home

My mum is well looked after. Very happy with staff; nurses are brilliant and very caring. Nurses look after my mum's health and well-being; they are fantastic.

Staff are care home received my father with very short notice. Despite that, they all treated him with kindness and professional care. They treated me exactly the same. I now walk into a beautiful, calm building knowing he is clean, safe, cared for and loved. I thank all the staff from the bottom of my heart.

My mother is nice and content in the home, and I am very pleased with it.

The staff here do a great job. Thank you all for looking after her. We are happy with everything.

Mum seems happy and well looked after. It would be nice to see what her room is like, but it's not possible because of Covid.

The staff are very kind and caring. They do whatever is needed for the care of the service users, and are very accommodating in relation to visiting for shift workers, even in these very challenging times.

My mum had special needs because of her dementia, but also additionally issues that meant Mum was confined to bed for the past four or so months. The staff at Somerton cater to her needs and have been nothing but professional in the way they have cared for mum, reacted to issues (including COVID) and in the manner in which they engage with the family. We are hopeful that Mum will be up and about able to engage with other residents, in a matter of weeks. We know that Mum will benefit from such interactions immensely.

He seems very content, and well looked after. He is helped with his appearance, and staff are helpful and attentive. He especially enjoys the activities, and we are delighted that he is joining in and seems to be content and occupied. He likes the food, and his room is comfortable.

Always friendly and care provided is excellent, especially in these difficult times. Would be lost without them.

All staff are very professional and frienly. Nothing is too much trouble. Dad has 'flourished' since coming to live at Somerton. Have to mention also the staff managed exceedingly well during the covid pandemic, no cases at the home - all down to their professionalism, care and compassion. Much appreciated, thanks to all.

Was very worried about my mum going into care but this home has been so good. The staff are brilliant, very friendly and caring. I am very happy with the standard of care at Somerton. Can see all her fears and distress have gone.

I have had a very positive experience with this care home. The staff have been amazing, very helpful, caring and informative, and they have treated my father with dignity, care and compassion. I do not have anything negative to say and would recommend.

We have been so thankful for how my dad has been cared for since coming to Somerton in Sept 2019. He is happy here and has been so well cared for, he has gained weight which was a real concern for us. All of the staff are so pleasant and helpful.

I have nothing but great reivews for Somerton Nursing Home, staff are always friendly and my mum thinks highly of them too. Staff are always there and are able to chat about anything, very friendly and down to earth. The home has daily activities and is maintained to a high standard. The team provided support to all of us during a very difficult time for the family when my father died.

They have looked after my mum who visits my father daily making her feel welcome and secure. A great place with lovely staff which I would recommend to anyone.

I find the nursing home has a very homely feel. All the staff are very professional, friendly and fulfilling the needs of my mother.

My father receives very good care at Somerton. He appears content and is well fed and looked after. There has been a big change with the appointment of a new activities coordinator. Much more engaging and participate with residents. I am pleased with the commitment and professionalism of all staff but there does appear to be a point in the day where they appear more stretched, specifically at night when residents are getting supper and going to bed.

I find the standard of care provided of very high quality. My dad is very happy at the home.
