I have worked in two nursing homes in the past but neither had the dedication and compassion from their staff that Marina Care Home has. The care my mother has received and the genuine affection shown to her has been second to none. I would definitely recommend this care home to anyone. In fact, a friend has admitted her father here on my recommendation.
My mother has been in the Marina Care Home for a year and a half. All the staff are so friendly and caring. The residents and staff were tested recently for coronavirus and all results came back clear. The staff have excelled themselves and deserve so much credit.
My mother is staying in this care home for the past year. She has been looked after extremely well and my family has been treated with the most kindness. Staff can raise the same for us all and make us welcome every time we come to the door. I could have taken my mother out of this home but she was looked after like the girl's own mother. Excellent, made me happy to see that. A great place. Recommend it to anybody who would need it.
My sister is happy with the care she receives and I am impressed by the manner in which the staff relate to her. When she came into the home from hospital she had bad bedsores and was on a high dose of medication. The staff ensured the wounds were healed and the medication was reduced which resulted in an overall improvement in her health and well-being.
Marina is a very good care home and my wife does receive a very good care package. Most care workers are excellent although a few are only average.
I am very pleased with the care given to my sister. The staff are very kind and helpful.
I have found all of the staff to be kind, considerate and very caring. They are all very professional and carry out their duties in a friendly manner.I've never heard any of them raise their voice or lose their temper.
My mother has been greatly cared for and the staff are very friendly and kind if there are any issues it is dealt with quickly and efficiently. My mother is very happy and content here.
The care my mother got in this home was excellent. The caring and cleanliness were like I gave her at home. Food excellent as well as the girls, all of them (and the male carers), cleaners, nurses, receptionists. There was no problem too big if you were unhappy about anything.
I have visited twice this year. I have been impressed by the friendliness of the staff and their interaction with both service users and visitors. They are attentive and engaged with those they care for and have a nice personal touch with an element of humour. A nice, relaxed, homely atmosphere.
The staff are kind, friendly, supportive and ready to listen to my concerns should they arrive. As my husband has deteriorated they take extra care with him. They call in health support teams or doctors when needed. They always keep me informed which is important to me as my husband can no longer speak. They go the extra way to do little things like making a Valentine's card with my husband's picture on it for me, which I shall always treasure.
Our relative had the perfect care in this care home. All aspects of his health and well-being were addressed. Staff were professional, caring and friendly.
My mobility is poor and this home serves my needs very well indeed. Staff are helpful to me at all times.
My mother has resided at Marina Care Home for almost 2 years now and I would recommend this home to anyone as my experiences have only been good ones - lovely, caring staff, really clean environment and a high standard of resident care and support. Nothing is any trouble with any member of staff - they can't do enough which leaves a readily pleasant atmosphere within the home.
All the staff at Marina Care Home. I have found them to be friendly and helpful. They are doing a very good job.
All the nurses and care assistants are very good and I have no complaints about the care my mum is getting. Would recommend the home to anybody.
The home is kept very neat and clean - it smells so fresh at all my visits.
A very highly recommended residential home. There is nothing to criticise about the Marina Care Home.
There is a pleasant family-like atmosphere in the home. The staff and management are always very caring. The staff are always attentive to every resident's wants and needs. Cleanliness in the home is beyond reproach. The family are happy with the service provided for our brother.
Great reception for our 100th-year-olds birthday and being well looked after. Thank you.
My mother-in-law has been a resident in Marina Care Home since May 2016. She has settled in extremely well and is made to feel a part of a large family (she is in her 92nd year she enjoys the activities which takes place on a regular basis. She especially enjoyed the bean bag activity where a number of bean bags are thrown onto a mat marked with numbers. She came second and was chuffed to bits. A warm welcome is always given to family members no matter what time of the day/night they visit. Nursing skills (day/night) extremely important and Marina Care Home provides a highly trained and wonderful team.
