Marina is a very good care home and my wife does receive a very good care package. Most care workers are excellent although a few are only average.

I have found all of the staff to be kind, considerate and very caring. They are all very professional and carry out their duties in a friendly manner.I've never heard any of them raise their voice or lose their temper.

The care my mother got in this home was excellent. The caring and cleanliness were like I gave her at home. Food excellent as well as the girls, all of them (and the male carers), cleaners, nurses, receptionists. There was no problem too big if you were unhappy about anything.

I have visited twice this year. I have been impressed by the friendliness of the staff and their interaction with both service users and visitors. They are attentive and engaged with those they care for and have a nice personal touch with an element of humour. A nice, relaxed, homely atmosphere.

The staff are kind, friendly, supportive and ready to listen to my concerns should they arrive. As my husband has deteriorated they take extra care with him. They call in health support teams or doctors when needed. They always keep me informed which is important to me as my husband can no longer speak.
They go the extra way to do little things like making a Valentine's card with my husband's picture on it for me, which I shall always treasure.

My mother has resided at Marina Care Home for almost 2 years now and I would recommend this home to anyone as my experiences have only been good ones - lovely, caring staff, really clean environment and a high standard of resident care and support. Nothing is any trouble with any member of staff - they

Very pleasant staff who are pleased to talk frankly about the condition of residents. They are very friendly and co-operate when we arrive to visit and are ready to accommodate us as to where we wanted to see my sister.
The home is kept very neat and clean - it smells so fresh at all my visits.

There is a pleasant family-like atmosphere in the home. The staff and management are always very caring. The staff are always attentive to every resident's wants and needs. Cleanliness in the home is beyond reproach. The family are happy with the service provided for our brother.

My mother-in-law has been a resident in Marina Care Home since May 2016. She has settled in extremely well and is made to feel a part of a large family (she is in her 92nd year she enjoys the activities which takes place on a regular basis. She especially enjoyed the bean bag activity where a number
of bean bags are thrown onto a mat marked with numbers. She came second and was chuffed to bits. A warm welcome is always given to family members no matter what time of the day/night they visit. Nursing skills (day/night) extremely important and Marina Care Home provides a highly trained and wonderful team.

I have visited residents as a pastor over many years in this care home. Visiting different residents male and female over different age ranges. Have also been involved with staff, promoting events throughout the year and interacting with all the residents.

Since my father moved into this care home in July 16, I have been most impressed with how he has been looked after. The staff are extremely friendly and always give the impression that they want to be helpful. The home is maintained in an excellent manner, well heated and always clean and tidy. There
is always a good selection of food. All staff, management, nurses and carers are all to be congratulated for their professionalism and kindness to all the residents.

Mum spent 3 months in the Marina Care Home until her passing at the end of October 2016. The standard of care my mum received was very good from all staff and the support to us as a family was excellent. Any issues raised were dealt with quickly and as a family, we felt that staff, admin and management
were always available and approachable. Mum really enjoyed the home cooked meals and the endless cups of tea etc and of course, we as visitors were never left out. Mum had a number of serious medical issues and the nursing staff kept us up to date and explained everything that was happening. As expected, mum's conditions deteriorated and over the last 2-3 weeks, the family were more in attendance. Again, the support we were offered was excellent and the family appreciated all that was done for us but especially for mum until her demise which was handled with dignity and respect for all.

I have been really pleased with the level of care my Mum has received from all staff in Marina Care Home. Carers, cooks, administrators, nurses and manager are loving and warm towards all residents. Food and accommodation are of a high standard. the recently appointed manager is very committed and caring
and wants to get care for the elderly right at all levels.
