During my recent visits to Rockfield Care home to see my loved one i have observed the high levels of care and attention that staff are providing to each and every resident in their care.
There is a fantastic activities programme which i have been part of and seen the effort and determination to include
all the residents and the joy that it brings to all the residents involved.
From the moment I walk in the front door there is such a homely atmosphere and all staff are very warm and welcoming.
I must commend both the manager Gabriel and his deputy nurse Eileen, who always go above and beyond to make sure all of the residents are contented and happy.
A special mention to nurse Loita who has such a warm welcome for me every time i visit.

I have been visiting Rockfield Care home for the past numerous years. I find the staff in the home very attentive to the residents within the home. I find the manager Gabriel approachable and helpful. Gabriel knows all residents by their names and knows all about them. I like that they strive to ensure
a person centred approach in their work.
All residents present as happy and content in their home environment.
There is a range of activities within the home. They also do pamper days and have people into the home.
It is a credit to the home and the staff.
Gabriel, Eileen, lodia and Paul are just some of the names i have highlighted. Each and every memebt of staff I have worked with have been lovely.

My sister in law, who has dementia has been a resident at Bramblewood Care Home Since February 2025. She has settled in extremely well and is very content in the home. I am extremely pleased with all the care she has received. All of the staff and management are very caring and supportive and treat
the residents with respect and dignity. The staff understand her condition and make every effort to involve her in all the activities that take place. The home is clean, bright and well maintained and the rooms are kept clean and tidy. From my experience I would highly recommend Bramblewood Care Home.

I am absolutely delighted with the exceptional care that Bramblewood Care Home has provided for my mother. Every member of staff is wonderfully attentive, ensuring she is always comfortable, well looked after, and treated with genuine kindness. They respond quickly to her needs and consistently go above
and beyond in their support.
The manager is outstanding-calm, professional, organised, and always approachable. Their leadership provides a real sense of structure and reassurance, which is reflected in the smooth day-to-day running of the home.
Above all, Bramblewood is impeccably clean, which gives me enormous peace of mind. Knowing that my mother is in such a safe, hygienic, and caring environment means the world to me.
I cannot thank the team enough. I would wholeheartedly recommend Brabblewood Care Home to anyone looking for high-quality, compassionate care for a loved one.

I would like to thank all the staff at Bramblewood Nursing Home for their kindness and support they gave to our mum. Going into a nursing home was such a difficult thing for my mum and the family, but I know we could not have had better care for her. Mum was always clean and tidy, the food was always
good and plenty of cups of tea and biscuits etc. I think the staff do an amazing job, we saw first hand how much organisation it takes, and assistance the residents need, and they always perform their duties with patience and kindness. The staff were always very welcoming to us, and even our little dogs when we brought them to visit.

This was our first experience of a nursing home, from the moment we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. When my uncle became unwell the staff got the acute team to tend him and when he needed stronger pain relief they got that
sorted for him They kept us informed at every level of care. I would highly recommend this care facility.

The staff in Rockfield are very professional, kind and caring. My mum was treated with the utmost respect at all times. The nurses, care assistants, domestics, kitchen staff and staff who looked after entertainment and beauty treatments were all lovely and treated my mum with great respect. The building
and rooms were very clean and food was delicious for my mum.

My mother was a resident here from 7th April 2025- 3rd Aug 2025, when she sadly passed away. The staff in Rockfield treated my mum with the utmost care and respect while she was there. They were gentle + kind towards her and also to our entire family. All staff, in all departments played a part in making
her comfortable and well fed. The building is maintained to a high standard. We would recommend Rockfield to anyone needing a nursing home.

Overall am pleased with Mum's care. We do all washing, but sometimes nighties and socks disappear and don't reappear. Some staff have poor English, and it's hard to explain particular needs, as with a lot of care homes, some have great staff and a few who can be less enthusiastic.
Reply from Eldho Joy, Regional Support Manager at Bryansburn Care HomeThank you for your feedback. Were pleased to hear that overall youre happy with your mums care and appreciate your kind comments about our team. Were sorry to hear about the occasional missing clothing items and understand how frustrating this can be. Well remind staff to be extra mindful of residents belongings, however we strongly advice all families to put laundry labels on all clothing items. We also recognise the importance of clear communication and continue to support all staff with training to ensure residents individual needs are well understood. Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience.

I visited my mother last night (Sunday 18th January) and found her hanging out of her bed in a dishevelled manner, she had been lying like that for over 30 minutes until I arrived. The staff who are, supposedly, to be "taking care" of her had not checked her for more than half an hour. They were "busy
doing nothing" when I walked in. This is not the first time I have found my frail, elderly mother in such a state. I have noticed other residents who have been largely ignored and overlooked in a similar state. At almost £1000 per week this is an absolutely indubitable disgrace and a shocking state of affairs! I will be complaining in the strongest possible manner to all the owners and senior staff in Rockfield. I will NEVER accept such maltreatment of my mother. Another point is the sub standard state of some of the food dished out for my mother to eat. Prison inmates are treated better!
Reply from Gavin Kelly, Director at Rockfield Care HomeThank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We take the wellbeing, comfort, and dignity of all our residents extremely seriously, and we are sorry to hear that your visit caused you distress. We would always encourage any concerns about a resident's comfort or care to be raised with staff at the time, as this allows us to address matters immediately and ensure the resident's needs are met without delay. Our nursing and care teams provide care through a combination of planned, documented checks and ongoing observation throughout the unit, in line with individual care plans and professional standards. Where any issues relating to comfort, positioning, hydration, or safety are identified or brought to our attention, these are acted upon promptly. We are always committed to continuous monitoring and improvement and as such we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns directly and constructively, so that they can be properly understood and addressed.

My mother has been a resident for almost a year and she is visited by a family member at least once a day - therefore this is not a snap review. The facilties are excellent and the residents are all extremely cared for. Food is ample portions and excellent. Management excellent and staff caring and
courteous activities are well organised and residents are encouraged to participate which being there on a regular basis I have witnessed
Highly recommended.

Mum has only been with Bramblewood for a few weeks but she has been treated very well and staff knew & understood her needs immediately. Staff are caring and curtious always chatting with a smile and friendly manor.
