Relaunched in July 2020, Mulberry Court is a boutique care home set in the heart of Chalfont St Peter in Buckinghamshire. The small, friendly home has been beautifully refurbished, and with just 23 bedrooms, it is modern yet homely and personal.

They have three lounges, two dining rooms, and a lovely garden. These are perfect places for relaxing or enjoying the daily activities on offer. One of the lounges has been made into a visitor room so that families and friends can safely visit.

Everyone can stay in touch with family and friends using the latest technology, including free wifi throughout the home. There are always plenty of things going on to keep you occupied, including pursuing your hobbies, clubs, visiting entertainers, and trips out.

The home has strong links to local schools and community groups, bringing different activities into the home and opportunities to interact with local people of all ages.

They are committed to providing high standards of personalised care, including digital care plans which means you can share information with your family about how best to meet your needs if you so choose.

Staff are passionate about the safety and wellbeing of everyone, including exemplary infection prevention and control standards. Every member of their teams is trained in all aspects of care, cleanliness, and health and safety.

My mother became a full-time resident at Mulberry Court in February 2021. She came after a period of distress and ill health at home. She settled in quickly and very quickly became more like her old self with care and support from the team at Mulberry Court. She is now an established part of the Mulberry
Court family. The home has such a warm, friendly atmosphere. Residents are treated as individuals, with respect and kindness at all times. Food is amazing, thanks to the excellent chef!

My mum moved into the home in February this year after being widowed, we as a family had not been able to visit with her altogether due to Covid restrictions. It was her 82nd birthday this week and the care home provided her with a lovely birthday cake made specially with her dietary requirements in
mind, they also provided us with a fabulous afternoon tea and held a family day so the other residents could celebrate with us and spend time with their families too. This was very appreciated as we as a family got to spend special time with my mum on her birthday and the staff were all very helpful and considerate in setting this all up for us. Much appreciated.

The staff at Mulberry Court have gone above and beyond for my parents since they moved in in December 2020. My dad has recently passed away and all the staff did an amazing job keeping him comfortable. They continue to support my mum and she is coping really well because of their support. As an aged
care nurse living in Australia, I have no doubt that I couldn't have looked after them better myself. Thank you Mulberry Court, I am so glad we chose your home.

The carers are very welcoming when I visit my wife. My wife has now been at Mulberry Court for five and half months. She constantly comments on how much she likes her room and how lucky she is to be at Mulberry Court. She loves the carers who are looking after her. My wife has settled well and considers
Mulberry Court to be her home. As a family, we do not think that we could have found a better home for her.

I have been very pleased with the experience my mother has received here. She is well looked after and the staff cannot be faulted. There has been a worrying change of managers over the last year, which I hope has now been resolved. This home is on two floors and I do sometimes feel that the residents
upstairs can be overlooked when it comes to active stimulation. Overall I have no complaints at all - quite the opposite. I would heartily recommend Mulberry Court to anyone looking for a reliable home.

Mum has been here nearly four years now. Still loving this place, 'home from home'. Mum is loved and cared for, all her needs are met. Myself and my siblings have complete confidence in the staff here. The home is clean and pleasant. Mum still enjoys many activities, from going into the village to have
a coffee and get her nails done, to the cinema, tea dances, and we are currently waiting to go to Windsor to enjoy a boat trip!

Mulberry Court is a pearl in the sea of care homes.
My husband's interests and needs are always provided for by staff with the utmost professionalism, caring and cheerfulness.
There is a wonderful 'family' feeling about the home.
The managers always seem to go that extra mile to make sure the residents
are comfortable, safe and contented.
I have, as a result, a very stress-free life, as does my husband.
I have already recommended Mulberry Court to a friend whose mother in law has taken up residence.

My husband needed respite care as we searched for a permanent home when he had been diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. The staff at this home were so kind and helpful at a very stressful time. In spite of being very busy, they always found time to talk with my husband and take him to the local newsagents

My mother entered Mulberry Court in early September 2017. I had maintained her at home with live-in care for six years. I was not sure what to expect. I can only say that Mulberry Court far exceeded my expectations. If you had asked me a year ago how mum would be in a care home, I would not have been
positive.


I have been astounded that my mother has not just survived but positively thrived in this home. She is more alert and engaged than she has been in two years. My mother, by the way, is turning 94 this June. They have taken her to the pantomime - we would not have attempted this. I cannot fault the staff- they are engaged and responsive and they take their lead from a stellar manager. The manager always goes, as do her staff, the extra mile. I am truly grateful for the peace of mind this gives me.

The staff were welcoming, polite and very helpful on the whole.
The general ambience of the home was very pleasant and homely.
There were only a couple of main meals I didn't care for but that was my own likes/dislikes. Medication was administered on time despite my pills being at irregular intervals.

Emma

Emma Cole

Job Title: Home Manager

Emma started working for The Fremantle Trust when she was 18 years old and began her career working as a carer at Farnham Common House. She rose through the ranks to Team Leader and was eventually asked to move to Mulberry Court where she was offered the role of Deputy Manager. At the end of November 2021, Emma was offered the role of Home Manager.

Throughout her time at the Trust, Emma has completed multiple training programs, including a BTech in Dementia Awareness, an NVQ Level 3 in Care and an L3 Leadership and Management Diploma. She is also currently doing her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care.

Emma looks forward to many years promoting high standards of care and creating a happy, welcoming home for the residents of Mulberry Court.
