Mossvale Care Home

I cannot commend Mossvale Care Home enough. If I have to go into care, I would choose there.

My mother has been a resident at Mossvale Care Home for more than 8 years now. We could not have found a better place for her to be cared for. The home has a high standard of care and cleanliness and its facilities are excellent. During the pandemic the staff at all levels have gone above and beyond during this difficult time, and I cannot express my gratitude for their professionalism. I would have no hesitation recommending this home.

My mother spent her final 8 weeks at Mossvale Care Home, she sadly passed away on 20th January in the care of the home with us all around her. I will never forget the love and care my mother received in her final days. Thank you to all staff, but a special thanks to the staff nurse who kept me updated on everything. It was a short stay for my mum, but I am grateful to every single member of staff who cared for her. I will be forever grateful.

My mum has been in Mossvale now for nearly eight years. The staff are absolutely amazing. I know she is being well looked after. The activity staff have been amazing throughout the pandemic. Nothing is a bother to any of the staff and I can't thank them enough for the care they have given to my mum all these years. I couldn't have picked a better nursing home.

My mum was only in Mossvale for a short time, but in that time we were over the moon with the care she received. All staff were so attentive to Mum. The place is absolutely beautiful and her final days, myself and sister were able to stay and be with her we can't thank the staff enough for all they did for her. From bottom of my heart, thank you to each and every one of you.

My mum is well looked after and I can relax knowing she’s safe and in good hands.

As a friend of a resident, I can’t rate this home enough. The staff go above and beyond to care for their residents. I often see them out enjoying walks and enjoying all the fantastic activities. The staff are very approachable and nothing is ever a problem, they care for their residents with the utmost respect, especially when covid had struck and when the residents had to isolate from their families, they did their very best not to make them feel more isolated as they treated them all as their own family members. I now follow them on social media to see what they are doing and on a daily basis. I collect my daughter from the local school across the road where they are all at the windows waving, it’s so lovely to see. Craigend is very lucky to have this fabulous care home in the area.

The staff are so caring, approachable and happy to help. The activities girls are a huge asset to the team and go above and beyond daily. A team of very young girls on the ground level are just wonderful with the residents, loving and attentive. The nursing staff are so lovely to deal with and happy to discuss your family member whenever you have a question. My mum is happy and content and I hope this will continue.

I can’t praise the care and kindness both my parents received in Mossvale. My dad is still a resident and he is very well looked after. The staff show kindness and empathy towards him and the activity girls are amazing. They organise events for all the residents to enjoy, they are truly wonderful.

Mossvale Care Home is a well-managed home. My father has been there for nearly 2 years and we have been very pleased with how he has been cared for. Dad always looks smart and tidy. The staff at Mossvale are patient and caring. The home is kept very clean and well maintained.

The only reason I’ve put good for food is because I don’t eat in there.

We placed mum in Mossvale in March 2019. It was a stressful time as we had looked at in excess of 20 homes before we found somewhere we would be happy to leave her to be cared for. Mum settled well and despite her dementia, it was clear she was making good relationships with a number of the staff. Mum did not eat or drink well and staff would encourage her by trying different foods and drinks and spending time doing so. The activities workers (5 of them) were fantastic and included mum in various activities within the home. The care and respect she received was excellent. My only regret is not finding it sooner. Sadly mum passed away in June 2019. She and the family were looked after well during her palliative care. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a placement for a relative.

My father-in-law was a resident for 4 1/2 years. The care he received was second to none, every staff member treated him and us with the utmost respect. When he moved to Mossvale initially, he was very active and participated and enjoyed all the activities which are an excellent service in this home. Latterly he became very frail and for the last three months could not leave his bed. The care he received at the end of his life was amazing, every staff member is wonderful and treated him like he was their own. His personal care was first rate and at no time did we visit and he was not cleanly shaven and washed; he had no bed sores at any time, this I know is an extremely difficult thing to achieve with someone as frail as my father-in-law. In summary, this is an amazing home, and if you are in the sad situation that your loved ones need care, this is the best place you could find. Thank you, you made my families lives much easier and cared for my father in law wonderfully every day he was with you.
