Set in beautiful grounds, Lakeside Manor is a luxurious home at Lakeside Care Village in Jersey.

Lakeside Manor offers residential, nursing and respite care as well as specialist Dementia care in smaller, boutique communities within the home. Care is delivered by highly trained professionals in comfortable surroundings that are both homely and welcoming.

The bedrooms are large and are all ensuite and invite residents to personalise if they wish.

The communal areas provide a variety of different environments for the residents to enjoy, varying from a restaurant-style dining room to the outside terrace.   

The home also has an onsite café which is stocked throughout the day with homemade cakes and treats. All friends and families are welcome to visit.

The philosophy is simple. Lakeside Manor wants everyone to enjoy life to the full and never lose sight of the individuality of the residents and treat them with dignity, privacy and respect while offering freedom of choice and as much independence as possible.   

Residents have freedom to choose what to do and when. There is always plenty of activity happening and the activities coordinator puts together a full 7 days a week programme which is adapted to suit the needs and wishes of residents.

Activities include quizzes, sing-alongs, reminiscence therapy, indoor games, art and craft, baking and wherever possible, trips out and about. The home also has a sensory garden and a lake where residents can spend time in the tranquil settings of Lakeside Village.

My mum and dad came to Lakeside Manor in January 2017. Dad past away last March. The staff have been very caring to mum, now on her own and were exceptional during the coronavirus. We (family) are allowed to visit in the foyer.

Moving Dad into a care home was a very difficult decision, but after viewing several homes, we decided that Lakeside Manor looked the most inviting. From the beautiful decor of the foyer with its comfy chairs and cheerful background music to the lovely light and airy cafe area with its constant supply
of tea, coffee and freshly baked cake that makes you feel extremely welcome and is a great space for families to visit their loved ones. The dining area is laid out like a restaurant with a three-course menu on display for both lunch and dinner, and family members are even invited to have the occasional meal with their loved one. We can’t thank the staff enough for their care and dedication and in my Dad's own words ‘the staff are superb’. Thank you, Lakeside Manor; you are amazing!

The staff at Lakeside have been phenomenal, particularly during this pandemic, and especially one carer.
She has gone above and beyond her daily duties, providing our family with regular phone and video updates of our father. She cares for him like she would her own family member. Nothing is too much
trouble. We can’t thank her enough. She is a true angel in our eyes and during this difficult time, we know that he is in the best possible place and being cared for to the highest standards. Thank you so very much.

My father has come to Lakeside Care Home after being hospitalized with a severe uti and being unable to stand. Lakeside made the transfer from hospital easy. The whole team act in a caring and friendly manner. We expected him to be well looked after, we have been delighted by the warmth shown to him
and all his visitors. The meals he receives look tempting, there is a good choice and when he eats in his room the plates and food are warm. Lakeside is providing him with excellent support.

My 92 year old Mum has been in Lakeside previously for respite and now residing in Lakeside Manor. As a family, we had visited and researched many homes prior to choosing Lakeside. The overwhelming factor on entry is the cleanliness and decor. It felt as though Mum would be in her own little flat, surrounded
by trained, friendly staff who would care for her and we have found this to be the case:- from reception/admin/nursing/care/activities staff and management are a credit to Barchester and as a family we thank you.

We used a room to have a wake after the passing of my stepfather, the management were very helpful. The buffet was superb. The room was spotless, the staff made a difficult time as enjoyable as these events can be. Thanks to all the staff.

The physical make up of Lakeside Manor is very attractive to the residents and visitors alike.
The food is very well put together and very attractive and enjoyable.
But really the staff are very engaging, helpful, friendly and professional.

My father-in-law entered Lakeside Manor having stopped all his medication and refusing to eat. This was on 28th May. By the Saturday, he was up and dressed and eating breakfast in the dining room. He has had some ups and downs over the last few weeks but the staff have been extremely patient and kind
with him as well as encouraging. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for him.

Would just like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Lakeside Care Home for looking after my Nan. I haven't seen her look this well in months and I even heard her speak for the first time in way too long. She hasn't even been there a month and her progress already is amazing. Would also like

Exceeded all expectations. All aspects of Dad's care were met with an empathy tailored to his particular needs. Therefore I had complete peace of mind knowing that both his physical and emotional needs were met with compassion and expertise. A wonderful environment for him to have lived his final years.

Having moved from another good standard care home recently to the above my husband is much happier and his health and personality has improved beyond belief because of the well trained staff and efficient management who all seem to create a calm and relaxed atmosphere for the residents and guests alike.

The duty of care has been second to none from dealing with our Father (the resident) to dealing with us in a very friendly, professional manner. My father has settled in so well in such a short space of time, which has been very comforting to our whole family. For Easter we booked to have a family lunch
with our Dad, the food and service was fantastic, so courteous, friendly and so very relaxing for us all, very delightful. We are very happy, overwhelmed etc.
