As a regular visitor to St. Mary's I'm always so impressed with the lovely friendly welcome I receive. The staff really 'go the extra mile' to ensure residents are happy and well cared for. The staff interact with one another in a calm and respectful way due to the excellent management at the home. Would thoroughly recommend this Care Home to anyone looking for full time care for a loved one.
This is what happens when you become part of the family!. Thankyou so much
The general environment feels welcoming, spacious and comfortable. My wife's room is large and well equipped with en-suite shower and toilet, and allows us to spend our evenings together in comfort.
I have visited several care homes in the area over the years, and none have been the equal of St Mary's. Being separated from my wife after 58 happy years of marriage is not easy, but I find considerable consolation in knowing how well and lovingly she is cared for.
Thankyou so much, it is a pleasure having you and your family as part of ours
I like to share where possible and when it comes to heart rending decisions such as where to place a loved one, you need as much input as is possible.
My Mum has now been at St.Mary's for over a year, it was the best decision I've made on her behalf. She has flourished. All staff from those on high, day to day care, domestic support workers and admin behind scenes of everyday running are excellent, polite, respectful and all work with good humour.
Bascially to sum things up, it's in the title, they do "Care" and it is most certainly a "Home" for the residents and also for their families to visit. It's like going to see my Mum back at home!
Thank you so much for this glowing review, you have basically summed up my vision for the home
The staff are very thoughtful and friendly
The resident we visit seems very well cared for and is very happy since she has been here
Thankyou so much for these kind words, we love the Wednesday Afternoon Club!!!
The most noticeable think on entering the Care Home was the lack of any miasma. Our interview and tour of the home with the manager was friendly and informative and did not feel at all pressurised. The fact that there only 27 rooms on the three floors was a positive and relationships with all the staff is very good and friendly. Both my wife and I felt very welcome and I will be saddened when that relationship comes to and end. The food in the dining room is good and residents needs are well met, even wine served at dinner now! The activities are frequent and very good, administered by an extremely pleasant and efficient member of staff, and the other staff, including cleaners, get full marks. It is also giving me, a husband, full and needed support. This is an added bonus and will be sadly missed when it ceases.
There some wonderful comments in there, thankyou so much, I will pass it on to the team, and long may this continue
A warm welcome at a clean, spacious and homely residential care home.
Thankyou for your kind words, that is exactly how I would like people to see us
I have just assisted my ex-husband to move into the home for an initial respite admission. He was discharged from hospital, and his discharge/admission was handled very professionally. He has a lovely, airy, large room, and he could bring some of his furniture/computer with him. We already have a relative in the home and were aware of its high standards, hence he chose to move here. All in all, we are very happy.
Thankyou for your feedback, I will share with the team
I am impressed with the range of activities provided which has encouraged my sister to explore and enjoy the wider environment supported by the staff. As a relative I am always warmly welcomed by Michelle and the team in general who are committed to developing my sister's skills both practically and socially. My sister is very happy at St.Mary's which is the greatest testament to all the hard work and care provided by the entire team.
Such lovely feedback, thankyou. I shall share with the team
To My Dream Team,
There is so much to say and so many emotionsI want to thank you all for so many different things. It also occurred to me to point out and mention a person specifically but on reflection how does one do that when each and every staff member from cleaners, to maintenance, to care staff, to kitchen staff, to seniors, to administration, to management would have to be mentioned for:
The abundance of caringThe abundance of love
The abundance of interest
The abundance of support
The abundance of ethics
The abundance of thoughtfulness
The abundance of a sense of family
The joy you have all givenover the past few difficult days by sharing your laughter filled memories of my little Warrior Mum have made me laugh, cry and be proud...what a legacy to leave behind, laughter!
Again in total Gratitude to one and all I SALUTE YOU.Wends
Its been and honor and a privilege to support you and your Mum, so thankyou
A picture is worth a thousand words, and every one I see of her now, she is smiling. Well done to all the staff, who always make the family feel as wanted as the residents.
Thankyou so much for your words, the team will be truly touched
Residents seem very happy and they do a lot of activities of various things to suit all there hobbies .
Thankyou for your feedback, appreciate it. I shall pass it on to the team
My Dad moved to St Mary's immediately after an A&E visit. Firstly, the speed at which St Mary's responded to my request to support the move was absolutely fantastic, which meant that he did not have to spend an additional night on a trolley. But more importantly, this speedy service was given with such kindness and compassion. The assessment was carried out in the hospital, and on arrival Dad was greeted as if he was returning to the family home with such a warm welcome and a fantastic plate of roast dinner. Suitable introductions were made to other residents so that Dad had people to chat with at lunch the next day, and personalised activities were suggested, with regard to his likes and dislikes. When my family and I visited, a pot of tea with a big plate of biscuits magically arrived in the room, without anyone even asking. On walking through the home & lounge, everyone we saw looked so happy. There were plenty of friendly staff, who all knew Dad's name even after just one day
Thankyou for that wonderful feedback, it's been a pleasure!
These forms are too complicated for an old man like me! Sufficient to say I am pleased we found you. I am very happy with your care. Stipulating the range of the number of characters is counterproductive! This last comment is because of this stipulation!!!
I appreciate you completing this for us, and your positive feedback about the home (if not the form)
My friend is comfortable and well looked after. He is well fed and gets help to move around from the lovely carers. He gets taken out for visits to the beachfront and sometimes has ice cream or a haircut.
Thankyou for your kind works, who doesn't love ice cream at the beach!
My sister is so well cared for. She has never looked better. Our family are so grateful for the time and attention from the kind professional staff members. There are activities which she thoroughly enjoys. Thank you so much.
Thankyou for your kind words, I shall share with the team
We felt able to go away knowing her every need was taken care of. The manager and staff were kind, caring and thoughtful. They were also very professional and efficient in their care.
They kept my mother in law engaged and busy with tasks and activities which is exactly what she needed to settle in.
I would not hesitate to recommend St Mary's. In our experience it's a very special place and provides excellent care, often going above and beyond.
What a wonderful review, thankyou for your kind words, I will share with the team
From what I've observed, she is well looked after, with a good standard of care and attention to detail. The home maintains a subtle yet effective approach to security, which reassures me without feeling intrusive. This thoughtful balance allows residents to feel comfortable while ensuring their safety.
In terms of atmosphere, the care home fosters a peaceful and homely setting, which contributes to my mother's overall well-being. While no place is perfect, the consistency in care and the evident dedication of the staff to each individual resident make it a good choice for those seeking reassuring support for their loved ones.
I'm glad you feel your Mum is having a positive experience here at St Mary's, and i appreciate your honest feedback. I shall share with with the team. Thankyou
The manager could not do enough for us, she really put our minds at rest right from the minute we walked through the front door to have a look for a possible room for Mum.
You can tell that ALL the staff love working at St Mary's, every time we go to visit Mum she is taking part in some sort of activity, from Bingo to flower arranging to Easter bonnet making to nice walks along Worthing Pier for tea.
Mum settled in very quickly which is all down to great team work at St Mary's, the care she receives is totally amazing, the room is spotless (and you can move your own furniture in if you wish) the food is very nice, the activities are great, there is a quiet area, tv room, separate dining area and one of the nicest stained glass chapels I've ever seen.
Would definitely recommend.
Thank you
What a wonderful review, thankyou for taking the time to leave this, the team will so be happy to read your comments. I will pass this on to all of them. Your mother in law has been a pleasure since the moment she arrived!
The care she received was always appropriate to her needs and changed as she became more frail. As visitors we were always treated pleasantly and we were always made aware of any changes to my sisters condition or care. I told the manager of the home that I never had any concerns about my sister as she was so well looked after. I can thoroughly recommend this home
Such a lovely lady, missed by one and all here! Thankyou for your words, I know the team here will appreciate the kind feedback. Drop in for a catch up when you are in the area
Very good as usual. My dad has been at St. Marys Residential Care Home for six years now, and still think this is the place to be. I am not a person who is full of words, so I find it difficult to fill in this feedback.
