Really happy with the care my father gets. Overall he seems like he enjoys being there (don’t worry, I know he definitely has his moments). All the staff are so friendly, I sometimes have a bad visit, and there’s always someone’s shoulder for me to cry on!
Just one point, all the staff know my name;
it would be nice if they all had name badges, so we can know all their names, as sometimes you don’t see the same girls for a while, depending on my visits.

Firstly, when I said February '23, that's when I got out. I had previously been in there for the last two years. All in all, the staff were amazing, empathetic and focused on their goals. For me, that was to be living independently again. For others, this may just be to have your needs met and be as
happy as can be. Anyway, without rambling on too much, it was a lovely place with lovely staff, and I feel proud to have this opportunity to say that they helped me to find me.

I have always found the care staff to be very dedicated under difficult conditions. There has been a marked change in all aspects of the home and a general buzz of activity from everyone concerned. The rooms are due to be updated, and that is needed; the rooms completed are lovely and welcoming. Like
any situation when new management takes over, it takes a while for things to work, but everyone is trying hard to succeed.

Although my mum was only there a short time, the care she received was unbelievable. They showed her and all her family care and compassion in the last months of her life.
They treat her with dignity and could not have done any more to make her stay there as happy as it was.
I really can't thank
them enough for what they did for Mum, in particular, towards the end of her life. The staff on the Ullswater unit are some of the nicest, most caring people I have had the pleasure to know. Thank you seems so inadequate for what they did, but thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Stainton Lodge Care Centre is a modern well-designed building with easy transport access. It is very well managed and the care staff are wonderful, they give such amazing care and support to their residents. The bedrooms are all en-suite as well as specialist bathroom facilities. We are so thankful
that when mum need to move into a care home Stainton Lodge was able to take her.

The care and attention given to my father were excellent. All the staff were kind, patient and very caring. In his final week of his life, the staff were wonderful to him and very supportive of his family. They made a very sad time much easier to cope with. Their care until his last breath was compassionate
and considerate of what was best for him.
Thank you seems inadequate but it's all I can say.

After a difficult start which included delirium, fall and broken bones my mother has begun to enjoy her stay. The staff have all been very helpful and supportive and actively looking for ways to improve mother's experience in providing a bed which is much more accessible. Her room is very comfortable.

My grandma has been in this care home approx 4 years. She was previously in another one. The standard of care is second to none here. She is extremely happy and that makes all our family happy.
Nothing is too much trouble for the staff here.
Food is nice and the entertainment is of high quality. It's
the little touches that make this care home extra special. We know we made the best choice for my grandma.

For seven months dad has had a traumatic time and has been in hospital since a fall. Unfortunately, dad was unable to return home which we as a family were devastated. Stainton Lodge Care Centre came to see dad and thankfully they gave dad a place to call home. Dad has been there for 4 weeks now and
the change in his spirit is remarkable, we have seen dad laugh again for the first time in a long time. The staff on the Windermere unit are so compassionate and caring, they have shown respect to dad and their approach is calm and reassuring, in such a short time they feel just like our extended family, it is nice as a family that we can go home and sleep without having to worry that dad is being looked after. The home manager is so caring and is totally dedicated to see that his residents and families are happy with the care given. We feel very fortunate to have been given the opportunity for dad to be living in such a lovely enviornment with excellent staff, thank you.

Extremely impressed with the care and support from all the staff involved with looking after my dad. Both him and myself were very anxious about accessing residential care. He has settled well and that is all due to the staff who have taken the time to get to know him, making him welcome and providing
