Wentworth Court

Wentworth Court has been and is exceptional. The staff are very patient, professional, caring with the residents, but also supportive of us, the relatives.

My husband has been in this care home since July 2022. I have nothing but praise and admiration for the way every member of staff deals with my husband, who has, at times, I know, been difficult. The gentleness with which each person in the home is treated is really lovely. I have no hesitation in recommending this home to anyone who has a member of their family suffering from this dreadful illness, dementia. They are always open to one's suggestions and take them on board and implement them.

My husband has been a resident at Wentworth Court for five years. During this time I have been completely satisfied with the care he has received. I know that he is getting the best possible attention sometimes under difficult and challenging circumstances.To the best of my knowledge he has always been treated with patience, kindness, and humour. Staff and management have always been very approachable if I have had any concerns which have then been dealt with swiftly and efficiently. The overall atmosphere within the home is friendly and welcoming and nothing appears to be too much trouble for the hard working and kind members of staff.

I've found that a very stressful time (husband of 60yrs) moving to Wwentworth Court has been made a lot easier by the staff and their caring nature. Knowing that John is being cared for and has his dementia needs met is a massive comfort. I feel very confident leaving John in their care and assured he has very good care.

Bright welcoming ground floor area with staff to match. Always helpful reflecting an overriding caring attitude. My relative is comfortable and well cared for. His needs are catered for in a professional and sympathetic way. Communication from the home is excellent as is the overall experience.

The reception staff are exceptional helpful. I feel that senior management are quite unfeeling. The well being team are very good and we always enjoy the trips out. Some of the care staff are quite vague about things and sometimes I feel I am causing a fuss when asking for things or do take my husband to the toilet. My husband has now settled into Wentworth as his dementia has progressed I just wish it could have been a better experience from the beginning - maybe take note on how you treat relatives.

Wentworth Court is a excellent care home has all the facilities, management and staff members are highly trained and everyone is very committed to their task.

My husband was admitted Feb 2025 from hospital. He has dementia. From "day 1" he has received patient and gentle care. Staff work hard to establish a rapport with patients. As a visitor 6 days per week I have experienced such kindness and compassion. All the staff are consistently helpful and welcoming and make sure that I am treated with care and with respect. The reception staff are so kind and caring they deserve special praise. Manager is professional and kind and caring - very pleased with the care I and my husband receive.

After 7 years of caring for my husband with a rare form of Alzheimer's disease, I made the very difficult decision for him to move to Wentworth Court 15 months ago. On visiting the home 3 times before his move, I knew it was the right place for him with specialist dementia care and I continue to be very happy with how he is looked after. I was and am still struck by the genuine caring, family feel, the scope of activities for the residents and the constant presence of carers diligently doing their jobs in a clean and safe environment. The staff, led by a manager passionate about dementia care, all know my husband, what he can still do in addition to what he has lost and his likes and dislikes. They are always very welcoming and pick me up when I am particularly feeling the loss. Some of my most memorable times at Wentworth Court will be when I have sat with husband singing to him and another resident has joined in. I highly recommend this Care Home.

We cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful team at WWC. From the moment our grandmother moved in, she has been surrounded by warmth, kindness, and genuine care. The nurses, carers, and management team go above and beyond every single day to make sure she feels safe, comfortable, and valued. At what was a time of uncertainty for our family, choosing WWC turned out to be the best decision we could have made. The level of professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail is truly outstanding. It gives us such peace of mind knowing she is in such capable and caring hands. Thank you to everyone at WWC for treating our grandmother with such love and dignity and for giving our family confidence and comfort. You are all amazing!

My husband was admitted to Wentworth Court in November 2024. He was in the later stages of Alzheimer's disease. The care he receives in Wentworth Court was very good. The staff are always kind and patient and have always kept me informed of any changes relating to his health. It is a very happy place, which is a comfort to the residents and relatives.

I can't say how pleased we were as a family to have finally got Mum onto Wentworth. She had a difficult period of her life running up to this with her dementia. I'm only sad that she didn't then spend more time there before her passing. The staff were amazing. They cared, were attentive and genuinely seemed connected with their residents. Their attention to families at difficult times was on another level. We did see some positive times with Mum in Wentworth when all before had been difficult. My only regret was not getting her there earlier in her diagnosis. The staff were compassionate, connected and always seemed to enjoy their jobs. Nothing was too much for them. The home is led by an inspirational manager, surrounded by a long-serving senior team that believes in person-centred care. They have been there and bought many t-shirts on a journey that families struggle with once in their lives if lucky, and they breathe that experience into the family and your parent.

Kind, compassionate, imaginative. My mother had had a very unhappy time at another care home and arrived at Wentworth Court at a low point. With the kind and imaginative care she received she was able to learn to walk again and the progress in her physical and mental health and well-being has been remarkable. The carers are so friendly, kind and compassionate and the activities and work of the well-being team are fantastically good. Mum has smiled and laughed again in a way she has not done for years. The management team are excellent as well. Thank you for all you have done Wentworth Court to find joy back into Mum's life.

I visit my Dad every day and he's always neat and clean. He says he's well-fed and he loves his room. He loves all the staff and is so much happier than he was at home. Friends who visit frequently comment on how much better he looks.

I am very happy with the care my father receives. He needs specialist dementia care and the staff are experts in this field. I am very impressed with the activities provided and the ethos of wellbeing there. I feel there is also now a happy atmosphere generated by the staff which gives a sense of fun when visiting. The garden is beautiful and a happy place to meet residents in the summer months. My only slight negative comments are that I wish my Dad could hold on to his possessions. Missing items like hats in particular are a problem despite them all being named. I would also love to see my Dad’s bedroom being given a lick of paint. Dad wouldn’t notice, but it affects the way I feel about his surroundings. Thank you to Wentworth Court for looking after my Dad so well.

Wentworth Court have provided my husband with a safe, caring environment to live and be cared for 24 hours a day. Right from the start he settled in well and having all the wonderful carers around him keeps him happy and content. He enjoys the activities and benefits greatly from their ethos of keeping residents where possible together, during the day. This may be inside or out in the garden where in the recent warm weather he likes listening to the music and eating ice cream! It’s his home but also somewhere where I feel supported and very comfortable when I visit.

Wentworth Court definitely has a person centred approach, and we love that Dad is often invited to go with the maintenance team on trips to Screwfix etc which, for Dad is very much something he did when he was at home. I would highly recommend Wentworth Court and wish to take the opportunity to Thank the entire team.

My brother is well cared for and the excellent staff are always happy, helpful and endeavour to ensure that he interacts in a positive manner.
