Absolutely brilliant care, nursing team fantastic!
Good choice of meals. Everyone is respectful to Dad and relatives.
Cannot rate this place enough. Both myself and sister felt so relaxed and happy the first day Dad was transferred.
Amazing team: receptionist, cleaners, and all nursing team.

I have visited Cherry Blossom on numerous occasions this month and have always been welcomed by the friendly, cheerful receptionist by name. I've noticed that they are replacing carpets, which is lovely. The staff are always available if you have any queries. The rooms are clean and tidy and my friend
has her hair done every week. There are always activities where she can attend and often visiting singers or entertainers. I highly recommend them.

My mother-in-law rang me at 10pm to say the night staff were refusing to put her to bed. She then rang back again at 10.15 pm in a distressed state saying she was tired and stuck in her chair. She then called me back at 10.30pm and was really unhappy saying” they won't listen to me”. Whilst she was
on the phone I heard the night staff shout at my mother, "As I keep telling you, stop ringing the bell, I will put you to bed when I have time". Obviously, she didn't know I was on the phone and could hear my mother being shouted at.

Mum spent 21/2 years of her remaining life in Cherry Blossom and making a decision on behalf of a loved one is not an easy decision to make, however I can say in all honestly Cherry Blossom was and is a very good choice fo us to have a made.
The staff were professional and lovely people as were the
clerical staff, many became more like good friends over time. Facilities were sufficient and the hair salon staff were brilliant. I shall keep in touch with them.

Taking money from patients: My family and I are really disappointed with Allegra Care Cherry Blossom Care Home.
At Christmas, we got a call from Allegra Care saying we owed them £30 and they wanted reimbursing. Apparently, Allegra Care Cherry Blossom had invited a ‘salesman’ into Cherry Blossom to
sell scarves and handbags to the elderly patients. We were told that my 95-year-old father who was suffering from dementia had ‘wanted’ to buy my 94-year older mother who was also in Allegra Cherry Blossom and suffering from dementia, a matching scarf and handbag for £30. Both my mother and father only left their rooms to eat in the dining room. Obviously, this was money money-making scam as they were selling raffle tickets the same week to raise money for the staff Christmas party. We refused to pay and took the scarf and handbag to the Allegra management who were incredibly dismissive, stating, “Well you got your money back what’s the problem?”. The Management was really unprofessional.

My wife spent eight weeks at Cherry Blossom following her discharge from hospital and was made to feel welcome by all the staff. Her room was clean, bright and airy and she seemed to settle quite well. The staff cared for her efficiently and treated her needs with respect. Whenever myself and the family
visited her we were usually greeted cheerfully by the staff who had time to answer any questions/queries we may have had. I was able to enjoy Christmas Day lunch with my wife which was much appreciated. She received cards and Christmas present and also a bunch of flowers for her birthday soon after which was a nice touch. When leaving to come home it was nice to see how many of the staff came to see her and wish us both well before we left.

Cherry Blossom Care Home facilities and staff care provided were both first-class. Requests were always met and any physical problems were always reported and prompt action taken. Carers were always helpful and considerate in looking after my wife.

Mum has a lovely, airy, spacious room and has personal touches to make it feel like home. The carers treat her with respect and dignity and all the staff are friendly and approachable. Mum uses the all inclusive in-house salon, has daily papers and the use of a chiropodist. The home has a large lounge
and a bistro for visitors to use. When it was Mum's birthday they made her feel so special with a vintage tea, banners, a cake and bouquet. I wish she was still at home with me but this is the best alternative for her.

My sister was admitted to the Cherry Blossom Care Home at the end of January. Prior to this, we had no experience with care homes.
I am very impressed by the high quality of care she has received. Staff are very helpful when I visit or phone to check on my sister's condition. There has been a steady
improvement over the two months.
I would consider the care provided by Cherry Blossom to be of a high standard.

Each time I have visited I have found the staff to be very caring and friendly. There are lots of activities and fun things going on. We have enjoyed the "cafe" type rooms with complimentary hot drinks and biscuits. The home is very clean, modern and airy.

I have been visiting my sister-in-law for over two years now at Cherry Blossom Care Home.
I have never had cause to complain about the care my relative received.
All staff are very knowledgeable and caring. They have all dealt very well with difficult times over the last eighteen-plus months due to
Covid.
I would recommend this care facility.

My husband was a resident for several months, and during that time, he was well looked after. Staff were kind and gentile, although at times, a bit thin on the ground.

To fully write a review I would be writing a book, as I have so much to say, so I shall use one word...special, all the staff on the dementia ward bring their own unique personalities to the ward, to work together through long and extremely challenging days. Despite this, every single resident is treated
as (and I use that word again) special. Not only the residents either but visitors also, for me an extended family, who I admire and make my visits with my wife, (yes again) special. I must include others in other areas, who from entering the door extend a warm welcome, my love and thanks go to everyone as I meet, on my journeys to the dementia ward, for making every time I visit...special.

Mum is happy and content in your care. I have always found staff cheerful and approachable. Mum is always well presented whenever I visit. Room is clean as is the rest of the home. I am kept informed of any changes to Mum's health and needs. It takes away some of the guilt I have not being able to look
after her myself.

I personally have nothing but praise for the staff at Cherry Blossom Care Home, my father was in their care for three years with dementia, whilst his behaviour and moods could be very challenging, the staff always acted with patience, care and understanding. They were very supportive to us as a family
in his final days and always kept us informed of any changes. I was very concerned about placing him in care but it turned out that I didn’t need to and after reading some of the reviews, I felt I had to tell it like I felt it was to us.

Dad had an awful experience in this dementia suite. Fifty-one residents and nowhere near enough staff. Manager’s communication skills are very poor. We were constantly chasing them. Two water infections were not picked up. Fall with a head injury and they should have called ambulance due to Dad's medication
but didn’t. Four days later GP insisted 999 call. Asked for Dad to be put into nursing care as worried about his decline, refused by Manager more than once! Found nursing care elsewhere and hostile staff when collecting Dad, saying why were we taking him out when they had a bed in the nursing wing! Dirty rooms, soiled sheets, no towels and flannels in rooms ever! Personal effects always looted. So cold one day and all three pairs of slippers gone from the room! Lost 4.5 kilos in 3.5 weeks. Went in walking and talking and came out a shell. Passed twelve days later in a nursing home with dignity. Do not put your loved one in this dementia suite. It is so depressing.

I do not recommend the dementia floor in this care home, I shall only put a couple of reasons. I feel it is understaffed for the type of residents there. I saw a maximum of two staff on many visits for about fifty-one rooms on a demanding floor to watch over and felt it did not enable the staff to give
the attention needed to the residents.
During the short stay there an unwitnessed fall, weight loss and our request to have our loved one moved to the nursing floor as we felt he needed more care than he was receiving, which was denied by them, this resulted in us moving him to a far better care home. One that assessed him and Immediately put him on their nursing wing.
He passed away peacefully there shortly after.

When I was told my husband had to go into palliative care I sobbed thinking about all the horror stories I had heard, but I needn't have worried. From the moment we stepped through the doors we were met with caring and empathic staff who couldn't do enough for my husband or myself.
For the time my
husband was there he was happy and content, the staff took him to their hearts and couldn't do enough for him. If the food didn't suit they cooked him what he wanted, he was kept clean at all times while leaving him with his dignity.
This gave me peace of mind through a very difficult time.
At the end, I can't praise the staff enough with the way they handled what was for us a very upsetting time.
My family and I would like to thank all the staff at Cherry Blossom Care Home for their help and support, they are a very special lot of people.

Nadiyah is a dedicated Registered Nurse, with a degree from Birmingham City University (2015). She began her nursing career in 2016 at Cherry Blossom Care Home, where she’s grown professionally within Allegra Care’s resident-centred and compassionate environment. Nadiyah’s journey culminated in her promotion to Clinical Services Manager in late 2022—a role that allows her to foster collaboration between staff and management, ensuring her team feels supported, motivated, and skilled.


In her role, Nadiyah enjoys balancing clinical practice with leadership, guiding her team toward best practices and promoting high-quality care for residents. She is committed to facilitating her team’s development, creating opportunities for them to advance their skills and careers within Allegra Care’s innovative household model.


Outside work, Nadiyah is a people person who treasures time with family, friends, and good food. Her personal values of connection and positivity shape her approach to creating a welcoming, homelike atmosphere for both residents and staff. Job Title: Home Administrator Joined: 2020

A post-graduate with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Marketing & Finance and ten years’ experience in the finance sector for leading multinational banks, Sam brings strong analytical and problem-solving skills to his role at Cherry Blossom Care Home. An expert in client relationship management, with an ability to grasp clients’ requirements and deliver appropriate solutions, he also holds a Higher Diploma in Software Engineering.


He became Bank Administration assistant within a couple of months of joining Cherry Blossom Care Home in 2020. He then moved on as the Home Administrator at another home in the group for a couple of months, before returning to perform this function at Cherry Blossom.


As part of the senior management team, Sam manages the home’s finance, payroll and administration matters. He welcomes residents and their families with a smile, and he is liked by customers for his gentle nature.

Job Title: Home Services Assistant Joined: 2015

Home Service Assistant Nicola has been part of the Cherry Blossom Care Home team from day one. Before joining Cherry Blossom as a Care Assistant, she worked for ten years as a manager in jewellery retail. Her transition to a service assistant role was driven by excellent customer care skills and her passion for making a difference in people’s lives.


Nicola welcomes all visitors with a warm smile and assists them according to their needs. One of her key roles is helping prospective residents, family and friends with tours of the home - a responsibility she maintained during the pandemic, with all the rigorous safeguarding restrictions that entailed. A daily visitor to our residents to deliver their newspapers, Nicola knows the value of simple pleasures like a chat and a laugh.


She is also a key member of the management team, helping in the daily running of the home in aspects such as organising supplies, recruitment of staff, interviews and meetings with management. Well-liked by staff, residents, their relatives and friends, glowing feedback consistently highlights Nicola’s sunny disposition and calm efficiency.
