Mum is happy and content in your care. I have always found staff cheerful and approachable. Mum is always well presented whenever I visit. Room is clean as is the rest of the home. I am kept informed of any changes to Mum's health and needs. It takes away some of the guilt I have not being able to look after her myself.

I personally have nothing but praise for the staff at Cherry Blossom Care Home, my father was in their care for three years with dementia, whilst his behaviour and moods could be very challenging, the staff always acted with patience, care and understanding. They were very supportive to us as a family in his final days and always kept us informed of any changes. I was very concerned about placing him in care but it turned out that I didn’t need to and after reading some of the reviews, I felt I had to tell it like I felt it was to us.

Thank you Cherry Blossom so much.

Dad had an awful experience in this dementia suite. Fifty-one residents and nowhere near enough staff. Manager’s communication skills are very poor. We were constantly chasing them. Two water infections were not picked up. Fall with a head injury and they should have called ambulance due to Dad's medication but didn’t. Four days later GP insisted 999 call. Asked for Dad to be put into nursing care as worried about his decline, refused by Manager more than once! Found nursing care elsewhere and hostile staff when collecting Dad, saying why were we taking him out when they had a bed in the nursing wing! Dirty rooms, soiled sheets, no towels and flannels in rooms ever! Personal effects always looted. So cold one day and all three pairs of slippers gone from the room! Lost 4.5 kilos in 3.5 weeks. Went in walking and talking and came out a shell. Passed twelve days later in a nursing home with dignity. Do not put your loved one in this dementia suite. It is so depressing.

I do not recommend the dementia floor in this care home, I shall only put a couple of reasons. I feel it is understaffed for the type of residents there. I saw a maximum of two staff on many visits for about fifty-one rooms on a demanding floor to watch over and felt it did not enable the staff to give the attention needed to the residents.
During the short stay there an unwitnessed fall, weight loss and our request to have our loved one moved to the nursing floor as we felt he needed more care than he was receiving, which was denied by them, this resulted in us moving him to a far better care home. One that assessed him and Immediately put him on their nursing wing.

He passed away peacefully there shortly after.

When I was told my husband had to go into palliative care I sobbed thinking about all the horror stories I had heard, but I needn't have worried. From the moment we stepped through the doors we were met with caring and empathic staff who couldn't do enough for my husband or myself.
For the time my husband was there he was happy and content, the staff took him to their hearts and couldn't do enough for him. If the food didn't suit they cooked him what he wanted, he was kept clean at all times while leaving him with his dignity.
This gave me peace of mind through a very difficult time.
At the end, I can't praise the staff enough with the way they handled what was for us a very upsetting time.

My family and I would like to thank all the staff at Cherry Blossom Care Home for their help and support, they are a very special lot of people.

From my very first visit to Cherry Blossom Care Home, it was apparent the staff are lovely and all extremely helpful; my husband was at last treated with the care and compassion he deserved. When a 'room move' was engineered, they went out of their way to grant our wishes and meet our needs. That last Monday morning I was asked to reduce my visits to every other day; but as I pointed out, I knew I was on borrowed time and my husband didn't have long, I stood my ground and continued my daily visits. When I lost my husband late Thursday afternoon, I received a heartfelt apology from the manager, who remarked that obviously, I had known my husband best, it takes special people to admit when they have got it wrong.

I have no hesitation in writing this review - the care in Cherry Blossom Care Home should be written in capital letters! Any home, or company, are only as good as the manager and staff, this one is exceptional.

How nice it is to come into Cherry Blossom. The staff are very caring and there are certain touches, which to me really make a difference. One of those being how clean the home is and odour free. The head housekeeper and team do a fantastic job.

I would say to begin with all care homes for dementia are hugely sad for visitors - the residents are largely unaware of their surroundings - Cherry Blossom seemed to be the best at the time in our area. The staff do a very difficult job, generally with a smile. The dementia only level is kept very clean and mostly free of unpleasant smells. The food provided is very good with all requirements met. The reception is welcoming and often uplifting on the way out after a challenging visit. I would be happy to recommend Cherry Blossom Care Home.

All the staff are friendly and caring, they always have a smile, they are brilliant with the clients. The home is clean and inviting, it is a pleasure to visit. The food is very good, not overbearing with heat. The first person you see upon entering is very polite and friendly and greets you with a lovely smile, this puts everyone at ease when they visit.

My wife, who has Vascular Dementia, has been a resident at Cherry Blossom for nearly 12 months and during that time I have been a regular visitor. As her condition has deteriorated I feel that the staff have become more aware of her needs, and have responded in a positive manner and provided the necessary additional support. The home is impressive, clean, generally tidy and the carers DO care, an important aspect when a loved one is beholden to others for assistance in most aspects of daily living.

I have a friend who is looked after and cared for on the dementia floor. My friend and I visit our friend/neighbour on a weekly basis and tragic as the situation is, we look forward to our weekly visits. The staff are what makes Cherry Blossom Care Home what it is - the care team both male and female are patient, caring and very approachable. A difficult floor to work but nothing is too much trouble.

Our experience of Cherry Blossom exceeded all expectations. The staff cared for both my partner's mother and father until sadly they both passed away. We cannot thank the staff enough for the care and compassion they showed, not only to my partner's parents but also to ourselves. The carers and staff really do go above and beyond the realms of caring. Thank you all so much once again.

You are made to feel welcome the moment you arrive. They have a saying "This is not a workplace but your home and the staff make great efforts to treat each person as an individual". There are great activities on offer, wonderful quiet areas as well as the wonderful garden to sit in, all maintained to a very high standard. The manager runs the home efficiently and their door is always open if any issues need to be raised. I particularly like the Bistro Coffee Bar.

The moment we walked into the care home we were met with friendliness and kindness. Our Mum was moved from Mansfield to Peterborough and the staff made the move an easy process. We were able to choose the room we liked for her and move her personal belongings in before we went to collect her so that her move was not difficult or confusing for her. On arrival, staff members were so friendly and welcoming and already knew her favourite drink. Staff on the reception desk, management, care workers, cleaners and caterers have always greeted us with open arms and cheerfulness. Mum has been treated with the greatest kindness and dignity. We, ourselves, have been looked after during her illness as well, by being given meals, drinks and even hugs to comfort. All staff members are approachable and are able to help us and Mum. If a resident's buzzer sounds, the staff attend immediately. We have seen that no resident is left unnoticed. All staff speak to residents with the greatest respect and show interest in them personally. The home layout is clean, open and spacious. We see that our Mum is comfortable and happy here.
