My sister is very well cared for. The food is excellent. Staff are polite and helpful. The only criticism is my sister's room. It looks out onto a brick wall and never gets any sun. We have asked several times for her to be moved to a better room, but we are always given excuses as to why she can't
be. The room opposite is light and airy, and has become vacant several times, but she is not allowed to move in there. Since she has the same as everyone else, its not really acceptable.

My mother and father came into Westerfield House together in November 2023. Unfortunately we lost our mother the following year in 2024. The team have supported my dad with his grieving process and have shown empathy and compassion in abundance. I can not fault them. My dad continues to live at Westerfield
House being well cared for, safe and happy,
Dad has always been a fussy eater. However, the chefs are always willing to go of menu and cater for his needs.
I am always updated on anything I need to know and every month included in his care plan review.
In my opinion, the home is very well run and always has a lovely atmosphere when i come to visit.
I can highly recommend this care home, for good quality care

I couldn't ask for better care for my mum. Especially when she was incredibly unwell earlier this year. Our designated deputy manager is exceptional in her communication and follow ups. All of the carers are attentive and patient and answer any questions we have. It has given me and my sister much

My wife and I are Deputies for a very close personal friend. She arrived at Westerfield House in April 2025. She has dementia and zero capacity. Our experience of Westerfield House is all positive. The care staff are very pleasant and seem to do their job well. The whole establishment is always clean
and nice smelling. Our friend is always clean, comfortable and as content as she can be. She is positively thriving since arriving.
The administration is always immaculate and communication is first class. The reception staff are always cheery and polite. We highly recommend Westerfield House.

Mum has been cared for extremely well during her time at Westerfield house. She had a number of conditions that needed hospital care and in every occasion the home dealt with her needs and took on family concerns and ideas as to how to treat her. The home itself is clean warm and very welcoming, the

My mother, Shirley, died in August, after two and a half years living at Westerfield House. She was 93 and passed away peacefully in her room at the home. Many of the staff came to see her in those final hours and many were clearly sad to see her go. Throughout her time at Westerfield House, mum was
kept clean and tidy. Her days were filled by various games, visits, music and other events. She always enjoyed the food. It is, of course, the people doing the caring that make the difference in a care home. Westerfield House has a great team to whom I, for one, am very grateful.

From experience of a few other homes in Ipswich, I can confidently say that Westerfield House is one of the best care homes in Suffolk. My mother is currently living there and my father was also there for 2 and a half years until he passed away. Olga, who is the deputy manager of the wing my mother
lives in has so much empathy, patience and professionalism. She is efficient when dealing with our requests and we feel extremely lucky to have her!
I highly recommend Westerfield House for your loved ones as not only are the whole care team caring and supportive, but the owner is also very empathetic and truly cares about the residents.

My dear wife has spent the last two years of her life in the gentle care of Westerfield House Ipswich
Their kind and caring staff made her last day as comfortable and dignified as possible
I cannot thank them all enough for all their kindness
Her every need was catered for both physically and
mentally during her long battle with dementia
I have no doubt where I will want to spend my final days and have instructed my family accordingly
I wish them every success with their palatial new extension

The senior managers are friendly and knowledgeable. There are enough carers for the work involved. They are conscientious and patient. Each resident has a care plan, overseen by a key carer, care plans are reviewed regularly, relatives consulted and any concerns raised are acted on. Cleanliness of rooms
and laundry is very good. The food is good and care is taken over dietary needs. The activities leader has organised a range of activities to appeal to all tastes eg: quizzes, bingo, cooking and flower arranging. Musical entertainers and a petting dog visit regularly. District nurses visit daily to provide care e.g: insulin injections for diabetes, end of life care is provided by district nurses, the carers and the hospice at home services, directed by a doctor.

My Mum has been living at Westerfield House for three years now and is very happy and cannot praise the staff highly enough. They are all so helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. If we have any queries or would like something done with regards to Mum's care it is always sorted quickly
and with kindness. The catering staff are a great team and always deliver tasty and nutritious meals. All in all we are very happy with all aspects of Westerfield House.

I can honestly say that I am extremely happy with the care, support, and compassion that takes place at Westerfield House. It is evident in everything they do. They are understanding to both their resident and to myself as Power of Attorney and friend. I would not want my friend anywhere else, they
take great care with residents' health and well-being including dietary requirements. There is a variety of food to meet all tastes. Their care planning is proactive with a commitment to getting to know their residents. They are patient and have made my friend so comfortable. My mum has been at Westerfield Care Home for over a year due to her Alzheimer's. Initially, it was hard for my dad to adjust, but the staff have been incredibly supportive, working with him, my brother, and sister to address any concerns and ensure we feel heard. My sister and I have met with the team
to discuss her care, appreciating their understanding that each family's needs are unique. Their insights have given us a balanced perspective. We hold meetings to review her care plan, and the staff allow an outside stylist to braid her hair, respecting her specific needs. While no care environment is perfect, we're especially grateful that my dad-who had preconceived ideas about her care-has found comfort in the staff's open-door policy. As a Black family, it's reassuring to see the staff's openness, which helps dispel common concerns in our community. Thank you to the team at Westerfield for making this journey easier for us all.

My mother was discharged from the hospital and was transferred to Westerfield House Residential Care Home.
We the family discovered that Westerfield Residential Care Home is one of the most secure, nurturing, hardworking wonderful staff who put their hearts and love into nursing care.
Am so blessed
that my mother is a resident at Westerfield Residential Care Home. Even though Mum is no longer at home she is at her new home with the abundance of love, warmth and efficient nursing care.

My wonderful Mum and Dad went about their lives, enjoying their tranquil environment so many miles from their children. We visited when we could, checking they were safe and well. Then the time came when they required help and support, with fears of leaving their safe, happy home. My dad frequently
expressed fears of having to go into a care environment. That was until they moved into Westerfield House Care Home. A few months passed I visited them recently and cannot express the joy in their transformation. They are glowing with wellness. My parents expressed how happy and safe they feel and the team are outstanding, nothing is too much trouble. I truly want to thank Westerfield Care Home for making my parents look forward to each and every day together and certainly quashing their fears of a care environment. My husband was a resident at Westerfield from 2022-2023, he received excellent care throughout this time. Kindness and thoughtfulness was at the centre of our experience. My mother moved to Westerfield House in October 2019 with some trepidation about living in a care home. However, I am pleased to say that due to the kindness shown by the Westerfield team, my mother enjoyed her new abode until she sadly passed in December 2022. In those three-plus years, my mother's
care was excellent. The team were always helpful and kept me well informed as to how she was, even more so during lockdown. The attention, love and care she received during her last days was second to none and I am also extremely grateful to the team for the support and compassion shown to me in dealing with her loss. Friends who visited my mother thought that Westerfield House was lovely. It is fortunate that there are care homes like this which are well kept and clean with good, attentive staff and a good variety of food. Visitors always receive a very warm welcome.
