We cannot praise Westerfield House highly enough. The management, care & admin staff continually go out of their way to enhance the lives of residents.


Mum was quite ill when she went there for respite but within 2 weeks she felt secure enough to call it home. Sadly she was never able to fully enjoy

the fantastic range of facilities but we were constantly amazed by the ingenuity, effort & patience that everyone put into supporting & motivating her. There is no doubt whatsoever that this significantly improved the quality of her life in the 11 weeks she was there.


Furthermore, bearing in mind the horror stories you hear about Care Home fees, at a very stressful time of change in all our lives the home could not have been more accommodating & supportive. I really can’t stress this enough. At a time of great anxiety about Mum’s future & the funding of it, the management team were wonderful.


Westerfield House exceeded our wildest expectations in very way. It truly is a home that cares.

My mother was resident in Westerfield House for 4 months after she was no longer able to cope on her own. Before she went in she was very depressed, having just lost my Dad after 70 years of marriage. She had no interest in anything around her and kept saying that she just wanted to die.


After

only a few days at the Home she had improved immensely. She began joining in activities and was happier than she had been for a couple of years. The staff are all excellent and they motivated her in a way that I never could. Her smile returned and she was more like the Mum that I remembered. She settled in and never once asked when she could go home.


Unfortunately, after only 4 months of their loving care, she died suddenly, but they had given her happiness and contentment and I, and all my family, are eternally grateful to everyone that looked after her for that.


I would recommend the Home to anyone. It would be hard to find a better one.

I was very impressed with the care given to my husband when he stayed at Westerfield House for two weeks respite. He was very happy and well looked after and enjoyed his stay. I would have no hesitation to use your services again and recommend you to anyone.

My mother was a resident in Westerfield House for a little over 2 months. During that time she was extremely well looked after. The overall standard of care was excellent. She was treated with great kindness and dignity at all times. The home was excellently managed. Liaison with the family was also
excellent. Staff were very friendly, quick to respond and supported both my mother and our family with great competence and kindness. The facilities were extremely clean. The food and activities were excellent.

The kindness, compassion and dignity accorded to my mother by everyone at Westerfield House were outstanding. She was very happy in the 16 months she lived there. I wish she had been able to enjoy being there for longer. The support we, her family, received at her dying was enormous and we will be grateful
forever. We were not 'service users', we were part of a community, a family.

The care provided by Westerfield House was exceptional. Mum was welcomed in and had a lovely, bright, modern room with en-suite facilities. She quickly made friends and enjoyed the many activities available. Nothing was too much trouble and the owner took a very personal interest in every resident.
Meals could be taken either in the pleasant dining room or in her room as her health dictated. Thank you all at Westerfield House for making mums time there such a 'Home from Home'.

Throughout this entire period, we have had enormous peace of mind that great care, attention to detail, spotlessly clean rooms and extremely well-organised activities

Westerfield House is efficiently run but also has a very friendly, homely atmosphere, it's family orientated. The rooms are a very high standard, plenty of sitting rooms to choose from. A good variety of activities on offer, outings in the summer, visitors always made very welcome at any time. The staff

My mother-in-law was a resident in Westerfield House Care Ltd for approximately 15 months. The care provided by both management and staff was extremely good, well above the normal standards. They were all treated as friends and family. The owner and his wife cannot be faulted. They are caring and supportive

I cannot praise highly enough the care and consideration shown to my mother and our family during the end of life care for my mum. They looked after my sister and I so well, including beautiful rooms and all our meals for the 11 days we had to stay with our mum. Nothing was too much for them.


The

care is second to none. Mum was at Westerfield House for 15 months. Thanks to the owner and his wonderful staff I knew I could have a holiday and Mum was so well cared for.

An extremely pleasant building in beautiful surroundings. Well managed and extremely kind staff. Food also very good. Rooms well furnished and all medical assistance provided.

All the staff are caring and considerate and nothing is too much trouble. Response times to "buzzer" presses are very good. Everywhere is clean. Most importantly mum is very happy there and says it feels as though she is in a posh hotel.

Very pleased with the entire service from start to finish. My father needed respite care quickly following treatment for cellulitus. We also needed the break as we were backwards and forwards to his flat day after day. A quick call and a visit he was completely taken care of for the duration of his
stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, he couldn't have wished for better care.

I went to Westerfield House very poorly, having a lung infection. I cannot tell you what I felt like when I came home. The staff and the food are excellent. I cannot praise them enough. Thank you Westerfield House and your lovely staff.

My mother has just had two weeks respite care. Although reluctant to leave her home she had a positive experience. All the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make her feel special and a welcomed patient in the most beautiful home from home. The activities were fun and adapted for each
patient's capabilities. The managements pre-admission check wish list adhered to the letter.

The care my father received when he went in for rest bite care has been absolutely outstanding and our family is so happy with what the staff have done for my father.


The attention to him and their attitude towards has been superb and he has improved so much since he has been at the home.

It was a very difficult decision to decide it was time for my dad to move into a care home, however, my worries were quickly put at ease at Westerfield House Care Ltd by the warm and welcoming staff and management. The home is a beautiful environment and the care my dad has so far received is excellent.
All of the staff are friendly and polite, and we could not ask for a better place for my dad to be. The food is lovely and the chefs always go out of their way to meet my dad's needs. Highly recommended.

My elderly Father has vascular dementia and went into Westerfield House for respite whilst my sister visited us in Devon. Since arriving, Dad's mood has lifted and although he still has bad days, which is to be expected, my family have all noticed a difference in him. He is eating better and even shows
signs of his old self which we had thought lost forever. On a visit from Devon with my wife, it was lovely to see him smile and interact with residents and staff, something he had stopped doing at home. This is due to the staff at Westerfield House. They are all wonderful, welcoming, friendly and cannot do enough for both residents and visitors alike! The owner should feel very proud of a really homely,welcoming place and of his staff . The whole team whether a carer, activities person, receptionist, kitchen staff or cleaner, THANK YOU. We feel so confident that Dad is being looked after really well and can enjoy the best possible quality of life for as long as he can.
