- Worsened language and communication issues, forgetting what they are saying mid-sentence. Not being able to understand what someone else is saying
- More frequent confusion, e.g. about the time of day or where they are, including their own home
- Apathy, depression and anxiety
- Believing things that aren't true (paranoia)
- Frequent hallucinations
- Lack of emotional control, quick to anger, fearfulness, sadness
- Loss of inhibition

Advanced Dementia

- Severe memory problems. Not recognising family members and friends. Not being able to recall their own name

Over the last ten years or so, my husband and I have had, on occasion, to visit several family members and friends in nursing or care homes. Plas Bryn Rhosyn is easily the best of them all. The staff are always most helpful, friendly and polite without exception. My cousin couldn't be looked after better.

I can't speak highly enough of the care and physiotherapy my wife is receiving at Plas Bryn Rhosyn. I can't speak highly enough about the care provided by all of the staff, everyone was caring and proffesional. The home was clean bright and warm the food was varied and tasty. The only reason my father moved out was no permenant room was available.

I feel my mum is very well cared for with friendly helpful staff who appear to enjoy their job. I feel she is respected as an individual and her beliefs and wishes are carried out. Staff always maintain mum's dignity. She enjoys the activities that take part in the care home.

Staff very approachable, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My partner has been treated as a friend but also with respect and dignity. All staff have been kind and supportive to me during his stay. There are plenty of activities and the home has a friendly, warm feel.

All staff are friendly and helpful. My mother seems happy and settled. Residents have lovely rooms visiting times are quite flexible and always plenty of activities for the residents.

During my stay at the rehabilitation care home, I have received encouragement and lots of support which is an improvement after hospital. Each member of staff gives 100% to residents to return home when safe to do so and I think this is the way forward for treatment after an illness or fall.
