Barnes Lodge comprises 101 en-suite bedrooms over three floors, with numerous living and seating areas on each floor.
The home also has a visitors' room, hair, beauty and therapy salon, coffee shop and communal landscaped gardens as well as a themed street area.
It provides care for older people who are frail, have dementia or Parkinson's or are living with the effects of a Stroke. It also provides short-term respite care to the community as well as end of life care.
Regular activities and outings take place, with a dedicated social activities facilitator on each floor. Residents are invited to contribute to the planning of activities, while being encouraged to continue pursuing their own hobbies and interests.
A choice of freshly prepared homemade meals are provided for residents and they are encouraged to contribute to menu planning. Special diets can be catered for and this will need to be discussed with the manager ahead of moving in. The kitchen was award five stars for its food and hygiene rating in September 2016.
