Thank you all!!
This must be one of the finest care providers in the UK. The ethos of Vida Grange is about caring for the person and enabling them to live with dignity. Vida Grange provides a wide range of activities and stimuli to enhance the residents' days in a specialist setting for Dementia. To witness our loved one happy, despite her diagnosis, gives us peace of mind that she can live through this chapter of her life in a purpose designed environment that doesn't scream institution. The staff are all wonderful, caring, committed and dedicated to the people in their care. The Leadership at Vida Grange is of the highest quality. There is an emphasis on continued professional development and training for all staff to ensure they constantly meet residents' needs with the highest skills. If only all care homes were like this we would all have peace of mind for our loved ones.
Constant changes of staff.
Staff are very caring even though they rarely get to know the resident's preferences and dietary likes/dislikes. Care would be 5 stars but for the above annoyances.
Happy with my sister's care and best home available for people with dementia and caters well for younger adults! Highly pleased with her care and the staff are all professional and caring! Could not wish for a nicer home for my sister.
Very impressive staff.
We moved my dad here after we were disappointed with other homes. He settled in very quickly.
My dad has been well looked after for the last six months.
Only down side is it is more expensive than most other options.
We are very happy that Mum is resident at Vida Grange as it provides the best care available. An issue arose the other week which I felt I had to mention, but I was very happy that it was addressed very thoughtfully.
My father has recently moved here and is finding transition hard, however, the staff are fab and really working hard to settle him.
My family and I cannot ask for a better care home for our parents. The care home provides good support for family and friends as well as caring for the residents themselves.
I am very satisfied with the care and support given to my mother since she went to live in Vida Grange. All staff seem to be genuinely concerned for her welfare and happiness. She is visually impaired and can be difficult, but the patience and understanding shown to her is commendable. Her physical and mental health needs are well taken care of.
I have been delighted at the way my wife has been looked after in what has been a difficult time for her following major surgery. Every one of the staff has been excellent in their appreciation of the situation. She is settling well.
Not only do the team at Vida Grange care exceptionally well for my mum but they also care for the wellbeing and support of our whole family. Nothing is ever too much trouble and everyone is so proactive, making us all feel at home.
We've just come home from visiting mum and were once again delighted with the way all of the staff at Vida Grange seem to really manage to keep a smiling and cheery disposition at all times. Even when residents are being uncooperative or depressed the bright outlook of the caring staff seems to raise spirits and produce a friendly welcoming atmosphere.
Very professional yet caring home. Centred around the residents who are respected and shown dignity in a safe, clean and bright environment. Communication between the care home and relatives of residents is excellent and encouraged.
Plenty of staff on hand throughout the day who are very much there to make sure residents are cared for and as happy as possible.
Being a new specialist facility Vida Grange has excellent accommodation. Application was dealt with quickly and efficiently. The care is excellent and appropriate for the required needs.
My aunt has only been in Vida Grange 3 weeks but I am very impressed with how well she has settled in and the staff. The staff are great and very caring which is want you want for the ones you love. It's a happy place and I always come away knowing my aunt is well looked after.
Vida Grange has for 6 months been providing excellent care to my mother - a Parkinson's with dementia sufferer. Mummy came to Vida Grange from hospital after a fall. She has gained over 6kg in weight since then and looks contented, clean, well-cared for and with peachy skin.
Vida Grange made an initial assessment of my mother in hospital and they recommended their smaller, quiet suite of 10 residents which hadn't yet opened. They bent over backwards to put in place a transition arrangement allowing her to leave hospital and settle at Vida Grange.
The care staff are excellent and really do know my mother's needs and preferences. They treat her in a respectful, kind and caring way. They have been pro-active in contacting the visiting local GP and the local Parkinson's nurse team as required. They have also encouraged my mother to stay as mobile as possible following her fall. They have taken her to the dentist and optician. The hairdresser and chiropodist come regularly.
I am very pleased with the way my husband has responded to the approach and overall philosophy of the management and staff of Vida Grange and I wouldn't have him anywhere else. As it is a new home there have been teething problems, but the owners and management have always made themselves available to listen to relatives' concerns and they have responded appropriately. I am confident that they have the will and compassion necessary to provide excellent specialist dementia care as soon as they are able to provide a stable team of staff at all levels. I feel yet, that Vida Grange is a work in progress, but it is making great strides forward.
