I thought along with my family that the overall care provided was good. The staff were considerate and helpful. This home is spacious, light and we like the way residents can wander around unnoticed.
However slight hesitation with communication during carers shifts could be improved ie regarding medicine
timings and food/diet of patients - otherwise, good home.

The staff, carers and nurses give amazing service. The care they give is loving and compassionate. Your relative is treated with respect and dignity and there is excellent care and support for the relatives too. My mother was given outstanding end of life care and went very peacefully with great dignity.
I would recommend this facility highly.

Rooms adequate. Would be nice to see uniform linens used throughout, not a mix-mash of linens which make beds look like student accommodation.
Also, a hospital style bedside table to go over beds and to allow eating at a reasonable height for patients not wishing to use the dining room.

My husband has only been at the home a few weeks, but the care is outstanding. The staff are all very caring and friendly. I feel very happy that he is in such a nice safe and homely environment.

Our aunt has been told she must have dare now. Social services gave me a list as I live only a mile from Hadleigh Hall. I tried and she was accepted. I have visited a few homes in my time but I must say this is fabulous, like a 10-star hotel. We know that our aunt will be safe, happy and loved there.
They are seen to me, like family and I have already told someone else about it in the hospital.

I found Hadleigh Hall Nursing Home to be very friendly, clean and like a 10-star hotel. I believe my great aunt will be very happy, looked after and safe. The staff at Hadleigh Hall are like family. The grounds are beautiful as is the home itself.

My husband had a very bad start to residential care in a different care home. The silver lining to this dark cloud is he has finished up in this wonderful care home. He has settled in really well and the staff are all very caring and helpful. I would recommend this home to anyone who asks.

My husband and I stayed for nearly 3 weeks' respite. We were very grateful for everyone's efforts and hard work. We did find adjusting to the bells quite difficult and felt that sometimes there were not enough staff on duty to cope with everyone's needs. All the staff were very friendly and extremely
helpful (sometimes going beyond the call of duty - one carer came in on her evening off to bath me!). We were particularly appreciative of my husband's birthday cake!

My brother and sister-in-law are both being well looked after with difficult health problems. The Activities are good but I should like to see encouragement from staff for individuals to do some activities when on their own in their rooms. However, I do understand, that with the health problems the
staff have to cope with and the limited number of staff available this is not easy to provide. I am grateful for all that the management and staff do in difficult circumstances.

The care that my wife received achieved its purpose in maintaining her physical state after a number of major fractures and she has gradually improved her mobility. Her mental state (she suffers from the early stages of dementia) has also improved. I suggest that some attempt is made to separate those
who are suffering from more advanced dementia from other patients recuperating and that have some hope of recovery. Only strong will prevented my wife from becoming institutionalised. There were times when the staff levels were clearly insufficient.

I have worked Nursing & Social Care industry for just over 43 years. I started my journey as a volunteer, I then trained as a nurse in Sunderland and then went into care homes in 1988. I have worked for small providers and corporate organisations. I have spent time in the last 10 years commissioning new care homes and have been involved in new companies. I am passionate about caring for older people and those living with Dementia. At Hadleigh Nursing Home there is a friendly family feel and I have a team that I am very proud of. Everyone strives to deliver the best possible care and enrich the lives of our residents. I relocated to Suffolk in 2022 with my family. Out of work Allison loves to spend time with her family and very spoilt dog Poppy.

I trained with Anglia Ruskin and then once qualified started as a ward nurse in the care of the elderly at Colchester General. I started my Nurse career later in life and was originally working in London for Barclays Bank and NIG Skandia. I have been a nurse for over 14 years, my last role was as a Senior Specialist Urology Nurse and I was in that role for 7 years. Before this, I worked for a community nursing team. Before this, I worked in school nursing leading clinics for 5 to 18-year-olds I also worked as a Renal dialysis Nurse.


Becoming a Nurse was my greatest achievement and have since loved working with families and patients, to help promote good quality care for all. I moved to Hadleigh 5 years ago and have been greatly impressed by the community and the wonderful surrounding areas. I enjoy spending time with my family and animals who are important to me. I have been given a wonderful opportunity to work at Hadleigh Nursing Home with a wonderful team to help promote patient-centred care and enhance residents' lives and wellbeing.

I worked in hotels for 18 years before I joined the team at Hadleigh Hall Nursing Home. I am passionate about making meal times special for our residents with great service and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. My experience in events and wedding coordinating makes me adaptable with a keen eye for the smaller details. I take great pride in exceeding both resident and relative expectations wherever possible. With a strong person-centred approach, Hadleigh Hall Nursing Home feels just like a family and I am proud to be part of a team delivering a first-class experience for our residents. I am lucky to reside in the wonderful area of Hadleigh and outside of work, my family and I love exploring the countryside and all that our new “UK” home has to offer, having arrived from South Africa last April.

As the wife of a serving soldier of 24 years, now a veteran, we moved into Hadleigh in 2002. My first job in Hadleigh was as an activity coordinator in a care home in 2003. After a year, I changed my job role to that of a teaching assistant/pastoral care in a local school, supporting charity work within the community and welfare within the Army community for 10 years. I spent one year as a member of the Town Council. In 2014, I joined the Hadleigh Dementia Action Alliance for 6 years and worked at a local residential care home for 5 years as a carer and the activity coordinator, before moving to Hadleigh Nursing Home in 2019 as the Lifestyle Coordinator and a Senior Carer role.
