My father has been visiting once a week for a number of months now. The care given by every member of staff has been excellent. Most know him by name, and he comes out happy after every single visit. I couldn’t be happier with my choice of care home. If and when his needs change, I know who I will approach first for additional care.

Reply from Allison Squires, Home Manager at Hadleigh Nursing Home

Thank you for your review; it is an absolute pleasure to look after your father one day every week. He really enjoys his time with us. I will share your positive feedback with my team.

My sister has been resident at Hadleigh Nursing Home since the 1st of February which is a lovely nursing home in a beautiful setting. I have always found the staff friendly and helpful and consider the care they have given to her outstanding. I am more than satisfied and would have no hesitation in recommending Hadleigh as a home for nursing care.

Hadleigh Nursing Home is set in beautiful grounds with clean, well-maintained rooms and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are outstanding. Their professionalism, dedication, calmness, respect, level of communication and good humour shine through. They know Mum very well and so provide a holistic approach to her care. I am very grateful for the understanding and kindness shown to my sister and me and, most importantly, to our mum.

My sister and I are so pleased with the way Hadleigh Nursing Home is caring for our mother. Nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are so caring and kind. We visited 9 other care homes in the surrounding area and without doubt we chose the best one for our mum. Without any hesitation, I personally would recommend this nursing home. Lovely, honest, caring staff.

My dad was moved here for his final months of lifecare.
The staff are always so welcoming and very friendly, making time to spend quality time with the residents. My dad was always having a laugh and a joke with his carers.

His end-of-life care was exceptional - he was made comfortable and care for to the highest standard. Thank you for everything.

My review of my 3 weeks: When feeling vulnerable what a beautiful experience I have had.

I have had nothing but the best possible attention which has helped me on my way to recovery. "Wherever a light shines is beautiful" and that has been my experience.

I cannot fault the outstanding care the staff at Hadleigh provided for my stepdad. They were always so kind, caring and supportive to him - and us as a family, we were never in any doubt that he was given the best of care. Hadleigh is a beautiful, peaceful setting and my stepdads last few years were made the most comfortable they could have been. A heartfelt thank you.

The staff went above and behind to help my mum in the last days of her life. The nurses and carers went out of there way to look after us a family while sitting with her at the end. We would highly recommend that anybody looking for a nursing home would do no better than coming to Hadleigh Nursing Home!

Our dad was a resident at Hadleigh Nursing Home for over 2 years and was cared for by such dedicated, caring, committed and respectful staff throughout his time, we couldn't have asked for more for him. The decision to place our much loved dad in care was incredibly hard but we were so grateful for the daily care and attention paid to his needs. The biggest of thank yous from us all.

My brother needed to have palliative and end of life care at a nursing home so Hadleigh Hall was chosen, this was an excellent choice. The care he is receiving is 100% above and beyond, the staff are attentive, helpful, kind, and warming. There is a cosiness on entry to the home and it's so clean and welcoming. Please congratulate all the staff.

I cannot fault the care that has been taken of my husband. In saying this, I include all of the staff at Hadleigh. Every one of them has done their absolute best and the quality of care has been wonderful through what has probably been the worst year any of us can remember. You have the grateful thanks of my family and I.

My brother has been in Hadleigh Nursing Home for nearly three years and has vascular dementia. This is a difficult illness to deal with, but he is well looked after. He is an excellent artist, and I send him pads and pastels, but he keeps them in his case. I would like time to be encouraged to use them and to look through the family photograph album, which I gave him. He gets very frustrated, and I think these things might calm him down when he is having a bad day. He is also very musical, loves signing, used to play the piano, and it very religious. It would be good if he could be encouraged to join in these activities. With the exception of being encouraged more in the activities mentioned, and I realise how busy the staff are, and their time is limited, I appreciate very much everything that all the staff do for him. I know that he has the best possible care, and I would not wish for him to be anywhere else.

Mum has been well looked after at Hadleigh Nursing Home during her time there. I particularly feel that the nursing staff are excellent. The cleaning staff are also very kind and considerate and take the time to understand Mum, whose speech is impaired. Through lockdown and Covid, this home has done an excellent job of care and communication under very difficult circumstances.

My mother became a resident at Hadleigh Nursing Home at the beginning of May, so all her stay has been under Covid conditions. Considering the difficulties this has presented for both staff and family, I am pleased with how she has settled in, and that she seems relatively contented. With all the conditions set by lockdown, it is difficult to evaluate all activities at the home, but it's been my experience that all the staff have performed their duties exceptionally well with both kindness and good humour. Also, a mention for the gardeners for keeping them so beautifully.

My father seems to be overall quite happy. The staff have been outstanding, especially his keyworker. They do sometimes seem a bit overstretched but we understand this is probably due to Covid staff shortages. He seems pleased with his room and he told us that the food is great. From the very little I have seen online the home looks well kept and very clean.

I would like to express sincere gratitude for the way my father was treated with dignity, respect, care and humour until his death. All staff were endlessly patient and took the time to get to know and appreciate dad and give him the care he needed. Also, as a large family, we always felt welcomed and given time to express and discuss any concerns. We all want to thank you for giving dad the best possible ending to his life.
