Mum's lived on her own ,being very independent since her partner passed away some 10 years ago, she started to have some issues with mobility and falls and after a spell in hospital realised she couldn't manage at home.
Me and my sister started to look into the possibility of a care home , Cavendish
Park was recommended to us and after a phone call arrived there to have a look around.
I think that after the first 10 minutes of being there our minds were made up to try and let mum stay here.
Mel the manager was really clear and helpful about everything we needed to know ,there was a room available and she reserved this for mum for when she came out of hospital, a lovely lady visited mum in hospital for an assessment and mum arrived two days later to a really friendly, professional home. The facilities are wonderful, with very genuinely caring staff, family can visit at anytime and made most welcome. I would have absolutely no concerns about letting a loved one stay here.
The very best.

My grandma is currently on respite here.
Shes adjusting slowly (which of course will always be the case) but the facilities are truly outstanding. with rooms cleaned daily, modern amenities and daily laundry done also, its a comfort for not only her, but also ourselves.
members of staff seem very
friendly from the receptionist, to the carers and of course Rob the chef (always smiling, always checking in and always cooking great food, an absolute credit to the company and my grandma agrees also)

Mum has been a resident at Cavendish Park since Nov 2019. The care she has received since then has been exceptional. Mum absolutely loves the home and the friends she has made there. I am greeted like part of the family and I am so so happy that Cavendish Park opened near us, when it did. We are very
lucky.
The team are all fantastic and that's due to the amazing leadership of the home management- who are professional, accessible, friendly and consistent. Mum's room and the public areas are beautiful and well maintained. The housekeeping team are exceptional. I cannot remember a single time when there's been an issue with laundry. The team of nurses and carers, who look after Mum day to day, are wonderful and have always treated Mum with great kindness, dignity and respect- especially as her needs have changed. As for activities - well- there's always something different going on and the range is fantastic and high quality. We could not wish for a better, happier home.

My aunt has been at Cavendish Park for several years now during which time she has been cared for with sensitivity, kindness,
good humour and re-assurance. High standards are always maintained at CP - whether in cleanliness, a warm welcome, access to activities, humour and calm re-assurance/flexibility
in meeting residents needs. Everybody in the staff team is approachable and nothing is too much trouble for them. Staff members are all proactive in making sure residents needs are met.

From the moment you enter the reception, you know that this care home is exceptional. The impression is more of a hotel or cruise ship with plush furnishings, flowers, newspapers and the library and hair salon off the main reception area.
My lovely Mum has been a happy resident since 2022 and I have
not seen her so happy in years. She has numerous activities to choose from and enjoys engaging with other residents.
Each floor has its own restaurant and lounge as well as The Bistro on the ground floor where most activities take place.
There is also a private dining room available for family functions. The cinema is also on the ground floor.
Nothing is too much trouble for the cheerful and professional staff, who treat the residents with care and respect. There are regular residents and relatives meetings to take feedback and keep everyone up to date.
Put simply, it is a residence that I would aspire to stay in my later years.

My Mum has only recently come to stay. We have been made so welcome from the minute we walked in the door.
The place is so clean and tidy but also feels comfortable with lots of different areas to sit chat have a coffee and enjoy amazing cakes.
The whole staff team are kind, approachable and are helping
Mum to settle in where we are confident she will have the best care and fun possible.

My mother-in-law recently made the difficult decision to go into residential care. Having visited several in the area, we are so glad that we chose Cavendish Park. Right from the outset the Cavendish Park team have been outstanding. Compassionate, friendly and caring with nothing being too much trouble.
The home is clean, well managed with a lot of activities. I can't recommend them enough and I can only hope that if I ever need that level of care there will be somewhere like Cavendish Park for me.

My mother went into respite care at the end of last year and is now a permanent resident.

From the very first contact with Cavendish Park my experience has been absolutely first class. The staff are welcoming, professional and compassionate; the premises are like a five star hotel; the food is excellent

and the activities are wide ranging and inclusive.

The whole family feel very fortunate that Mum is receiving the very best support and care in a safe and happy environment which provides absolute peace of mind for us all.

All the team at Cavendish Park are extremely professional, friendly and caring. From the moment Mum became a resident at the home, we knew she was in safe hands. We are always greeted with a smile and there is always somebody on hand if we have any concerns or need to speak to someone about Mum's care.
Mum loves the different activities and staff will tailor activities to what Mum most enjoys. We know that Mum's physical and mental health needs are being considered every day. Having dementia must be confusing and sometimes scary for Mum. As relatives we were so relieved to find somewhere we felt would give our Mum the best care for this stage in her life.

Every time I visit my mum she says of Cavendish house "It couldn't be better". She enjoys her lovely room and the equally nice communal areas. All the staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. Her mental and physical health are well looked after - she enjoys the range of different activities, including
the regular events and special occasions. She enjoys her meals and there are always plenty of drinks and snacks available if desired. As a visiting relative I feel welcomed and at home, and am automatically included in any activities that I wish to join in with. As a family we feel very lucky indeed that mum has such a wonderful place to live.

We moved our previously very independent Mother(in Law) to Cavendish Park approximately 6 months ago as we had growing concerns about her living alone. She was a little unsettled at first but staff worked with us to support the transition with love and understanding. She has been taking part in activities
and enjoyed various trips out etc.
The minute you arrive at CP you are greeted with a warm welcome. Reception staff can forget how emotional these visits can be but NOT at Cavendish Park. The care staff are also lovely. They speak to her in a caring ,nurturing way and nothing appears to be any trouble.
The activities team are extremely proactive in their roles. They offer a range of activities to suit all needs and interests.
The staff across the home are all warm, approachable and highly attentive. I can't thank them enough for caring for my wonderful MIL and would prebook my place in the future if possible!!
Thank you to the manager too who runs a great team.

Mum has been a resident at Cavendish Park for almost 5 months and she has settled in very well. This is due to the quality of care and the kindness shown by all members of staff, something mum regularly remarks upon. Cavendish Park provides an excellent variety of activities every day of the week for
its residents to join in, as they wish. Mum really enjoys taking part in all of these activities, along with other residents. I enjoy them too, when I visit mum.
To know that mum is receiving the best care and that she is in safe hands when I leave, is of great comfort to me.

Over the past 5 years my Mother has always been cared for with the utmost dignity, respect & kindness by all staff members. The Carers have provided for her every need, 24/7, making her feel safe & protected at all times; always responding to her with genuine interest and humour. The building and
facilities offered reflect the comfort and style of a welcoming hotel with well trained staff throughout, making my Mothers life comfortable and easy and always providing me with guidance and support. I consider myself very fortunate to have found Cavendish Park and will always be truly grateful to everyone who has helped my Mother and I over this challenging period. Thank you so much.

My mother was a resident at Cavendish Park Care Home for over 2 and a half years and during that time her care has been amazing. Despite her dementia progressing, she was always treated beautifully and encouraged to take part in all the wonderful activities on offer. From a practical point of view,
her room was always tidy and welcoming and she was immaculate and well turned out (which was important to her).
Devastatingly, she had a fall- they called me straight away- and we went to A and E in an ambulance. Her injuries were catastrophic but rather than spend her last days in hospital, she was able to return to Cavendish Park where she was treated with great care and kindness. We, as a family, were so well looked after and provided for in the following days and she died peacefully, with dignity, with her family around her.
I cannot stress enough how amazing the manager and her fantastic staff are - we are so grateful that mum was looked after so sensitively for 2 and a half years. Thank you.

Mum was in Cavendish Park Care Home for 4 1/2 years and I can honestly not praise the home and all it's staff enough.
When she first went in, as the pandemic started, she was against it but with encouragement from the amazing staff, she eventually settled. Mum began reading, knitting, doing jigsaws
things I hadn't seen her do for 40+ years!
Sadly, mum caught pneumonia in October last year and after a spell in hospital the strain affected her heart and kidneys, she was put on palliative care. I requested she went home, and was so glad I did. Mum was back in her own bed and our family was welcomed to be with her 24 hours a day. There were trays of snacks and drinks for us, kitchen staff asked what we'd like for meals each day.
Staff came to see mum to give her a kiss goodbye telling lovely memories of her in the home. End of life care was so loving. I cannot tell you how much this did my heart good.
All these incredible people made the last few days of mum's life loving and respectful.

My mother has recently lost her husband, and moved into Cavendish Park after 60 years in her previous home, so it's been a huge adjustment for her. The staff at Cavendish Park have managed her arrival there superbly, and I could not have chosen a better place for her. She is surrounded by caring, supportive
staff who are looking after her every need, and is already making friends with other residents. It's a great peace of mind to realise that she is being so well looked after in what is clearly a highly professional and well run care home. Five stars for everything from me!!

Current Review Score: 10.0 (9.979)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 10 (9.979) out of 10 for Cavendish Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.979 for Cavendish Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (279 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 284 Ratings = 4.979
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cavendish Park Care Home is based on 24 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 67 registered maximum number of service users is 13.4, which has been reached with 24 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Joining the team in the home commissioning phase, Mel has built wonderful relationships with the local and wider community, forming bonds and relationships that enable our residents to remain part of that community once they move to Cavendish Park. Mel is dedicated to ensuring that the home remains at the heart of the local community.

Mel understands how important moving from independent living to living in a care home is. She is kind, experienced, and compassionate in supporting new residents, their relatives, and loved ones through this emotive time.

Mel is dedicated to always providing excellent customer service, remaining empathic and professional, she is always on hand to offer support and guidance throughout the journey.

When taking time away from home, Mel is a big fan of walking, hiking, and hill-climbing. She enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 grown-up children and 2 stepdaughters.

And more than anything she loves cuddles with her beautiful hairless Russian sphynx cat, Bubba... who definitely rules the roost in the Hoskins household.

Job Title: Administration Services Manager Joined: 2020

Hello, I'm Lucy.

I am the Administration Services Manager at the luxury care home Cavendish Park! I originally started as an Administrator back in June 2020.

I have worked in caring environments most of my working life – including nurseries and schools. I also have lots of experience in hospitality. Ultimately it didn’t give me the same buzz as working in care.

It was a goal of mine to join Cavendish Park for such a long time and when the time finally arose – I jumped at the chance! I feel it is very important not only to get to know residents and relatives but also your colleagues, as we spend every working day with our team. It is just lovely being part of the Cavendish Park Family.

To my surprise, I was nominated for Majesticare’s Star Awards 2023, for the Jedi Recognition Award, which is an award created by Majesticare recognising individuals who recognise the work of their fellow teammates. I was lucky enough to win the award and had the opportunity to attend the Majesticare Star Awards.

Job Title: Lifestyle and Community Lead Joined: 2022

Hello, I am Kim, Lifestyle and Community Lead at our wonderful Care Home, Cavendish Park!

Until now I have never worked in a care home, I trained as a nurse at the beginning of my career, and after having my two children I worked for Age UK for a total of 25 years. In 2000, I moved from South London to live in Evesham and continued to work at Age UK Warwickshire for over 8 years before moving to Rooftop Housing Association as a health and well-being Co-Ordinator, for over 13 years.

Following a restructuring within the company, I decided to look for another post, and happily, I found this job. My work experience plus lifetime skills within health promotion and the well-being field have given me the perfect balance to fit into this role.

At Cavendish Park, I currently run a series of groups and events completely open to the local community including our monthly Community Coffee Morning as well as my Singing for Wellbeing Group, Parkinson's Support Group and my Knit and Natter Group. I have built a real support network among our residents, team and Cavendish Park community.
