Cavendish Park Care Home

After being rather apprehensive about my new 'way of life' initially, I was soon very reassured by the kind help from every level of care. This included the luxurious bedroom with 'ensuite' facility, with bed made and room tidied and cleaned every day, to the wonderful choice of food, with extra drinks (and eats!) if wanted. These are also possible for any visitors who are welcomed very well. The other excellent thing is the many different types of activities we have, from making flowers, painting, glasswork, to singing for well-being and having a brilliant pianist in regularly. Also excellent is all the different keep-fit sessions - keeps muscles fit.

The staff were very helpful and compassionate towards my sister. Whilst her care needs were not extensive I felt she was given a little too much independence and I had to push for ensuring my sister changed her clothes and showered more often. This was an extremely valuable period of respite for my sister.

I cannot thank Cavendish Park enough.

Mum moved into Cavendish Park from hospital for end of life care last year June. We felt welcomed from the moment we walked into the home. The care mum received as a resident was exceptional and I have no doubt that the quality of care she received extended her life by several months. All the staff who looked after her treated her with kindness and respect and it was comforting for us to know that she was being so well looked after. The staff also looked after and cared for us during some difficult times. It is a great comfort for us to know that she passed away peacefully in a loving and calm environment. We are so grateful for the love and support that mum received during the last year of her life, and for the kindness and support we have received whilst mum has been there. Cavendish Park really is a wonderful place.

Mum was admitted to Cavendish Park for "end of life" nursing care in June 2025. . Her bright room on the first floor was always comfortable and clean. The care she received was magnificent from her arrival and after a few days she was able to enjoy meals and company in the dining room! This was just the beginning of the attention given to both her physical and mental well being. During her 11 month stay we enjoyed time in the gardens, as a family celebrated her 97th birthday, as well as Christmas, Mothers Day and Easter! Cavendish Park is very special. Everyone greets you with warmth. The nurses and clinical staff exude compassion. The carers take time to know the residents and always treat them well and with good humour. The housekeeping, laundry and catering teams do an amazing job . We always feel welcomed into the home at reception. I cannot praise or thank you enough for Mum's wonderful care . Everything has been faultless. Thank you all

My mother Thelma lived in Cavendish Park Care Home from January 7th 2026. The home was warm and welcoming. The room was always kept clean and tidy. It was very nice to have meals cooked for her and she enjoyed them, including a pudding. The staff are very caring and kind and help in all aspects of her life. I would recommend this home to anyone.

The team are all fantastic and that's due to the amazing leadership of the home management- who are professional, accessible, friendly and consistent. Mum's room and the public areas are beautiful and well maintained. The housekeeping team are exceptional. I cannot remember a single time when there's been an issue with laundry. The team of nurses and carers, who look after Mum day to day, are wonderful and have always treated Mum with great kindness, dignity and respect- especially as her needs have changed. As for activities - well- there's always something different going on and the range is fantastic and high quality. We could not wish for a better, happier home.

High standards are always maintained at CP - whether in cleanliness, a warm welcome, access to activities, humour and calm re-assurance/flexibility in meeting residents needs. Everybody in the staff team is approachable and nothing is too much trouble for them. Staff members are all proactive in making sure residents needs are met.

Put simply, it is a residence that I would aspire to stay in my later years.

The whole staff team are kind, approachable and are helping Mum to settle in where we are confident she will have the best care and fun possible.

My mother-in-law recently made the difficult decision to go into residential care. Having visited several in the area, we are so glad that we chose Cavendish Park. Right from the outset the Cavendish Park team have been outstanding. Compassionate, friendly and caring with nothing being too much trouble. The home is clean, well managed with a lot of activities. I can't recommend them enough and I can only hope that if I ever need that level of care there will be somewhere like Cavendish Park for me.

My mother went into respite care at the end of last year and is now a permanent resident.

From the very first contact with Cavendish Park my experience has been absolutely first class. The staff are welcoming, professional and compassionate; the premises are like a five star hotel; the food is excellent and the activities are wide ranging and inclusive.

The whole family feel very fortunate that Mum is receiving the very best support and care in a safe and happy environment which provides absolute peace of mind for us all.

All the team at Cavendish Park are extremely professional, friendly and caring. From the moment Mum became a resident at the home, we knew she was in safe hands. We are always greeted with a smile and there is always somebody on hand if we have any concerns or need to speak to someone about Mum's care. Mum loves the different activities and staff will tailor activities to what Mum most enjoys. We know that Mum's physical and mental health needs are being considered every day. Having dementia must be confusing and sometimes scary for Mum. As relatives we were so relieved to find somewhere we felt would give our Mum the best care for this stage in her life.

Every time I visit my mum she says of Cavendish house "It couldn't be better". She enjoys her lovely room and the equally nice communal areas. All the staff are very friendly, kind and helpful. Her mental and physical health are well looked after - she enjoys the range of different activities, including the regular events and special occasions. She enjoys her meals and there are always plenty of drinks and snacks available if desired. As a visiting relative I feel welcomed and at home, and am automatically included in any activities that I wish to join in with. As a family we feel very lucky indeed that mum has such a wonderful place to live.
