Mum has been a resident at Cavendish Park for almost 5 months and she has settled in very well. This is due to the quality of care and the kindness shown by all members of staff, something mum regularly remarks upon. Cavendish Park provides an excellent variety of activities every day of the week for
its residents to join in, as they wish. Mum really enjoys taking part in all of these activities, along with other residents. I enjoy them too, when I visit mum.
To know that mum is receiving the best care and that she is in safe hands when I leave, is of great comfort to me.
Thank you Cavendish Park

Dementia is such a small word for a truly cruel disease.
In August 2024, we realised that we could no longer care for Mum at home as she needed, and she moved to Oaktree. Here we discovered a loving family carers who immediately took Mum to their heart, warmed by her ever-present smile and lack of
fuss. She enjoyed a trip to the donkey sanctuary, sang, danced, and had lots of fun whilst in a safe environment. We were able to visit Mum whenever we wanted.
For Mum's final seven months, she initially spent time in the Somerset Suite, surrounded by others also battling with dementia, but what a place full of characters who won our hearts too.
Mum's final three months were the hardest but again her stoicism and strength showed through even in the darkest of times. We visited every day and soon found ourselves as much cared for as Mum, and were forever grateful for the kindness and care present everywhere there. The nurses, the carers, whose magical touch, I am sure, kept Mum with us for just a bit longer, the cleaners, the chefs, the reception ladies, the entertainment team – they are all angels to us.

My wife spent almost seven months at Oaktree Court. Family members had reviewed and visited several possible care homes for her, and I can truthfully say that we are unreservedly grateful that it was Oaktree Court that we chose. Preliminary visits enabled Ann to make the transition from our home, when
the time came, with calmness and a feeling of being made very welcome.
From the outset she received impressive professional care and very loving human kindness. It helped her, and it certainly helped family members, that we were always made very welcome indeed. There was a lot of laughter, fun-type activities especially in the dementia suite, in every respect sensitivity to her as an individual, and seemingly endless patience. When help was needed it was provided immediately, when our anxieties and fears arose they were taken seriously and addressed so that we did not feel awkward or uneasy in asking.
Ann's care moved from dementia through to 'end of life'. When it became clear that her life was coming to an end, two staff members kept her company and provided the love and reassurance she needed. For this we cannot be too grateful. Oaktree Court is a very fine place, efficiently managed and in so many ways a delight.

From the pre admission meeting to moving day everyone involved at the home have been excellent and professional. Sadly after only a short stay my mother passed away and the way her death was managed gives my family great comfort. My father is still there and his care is of a very high standard. The
accommodation is clean and well appointed. All the staff have been friendly and welcoming.

Oaktree provide a care second to none. From our initial visit to when we took mum, everyone who works there was so kind and caring to us as relatives as much as for our mum whose home it become. The home is very well maintained, it is a beautiful setting and it feels like home from home for us too.
Cannot fault the dedication of everyone who worked there. The atmosphere is so welcoming and happy. Will forever be grateful for all they did for us as a family.

My dad moved to Milton Ernest Hall in January 2025 and settled in immediately.
He loves the beautiful grounds and the grand rooms. He feels as if he is living in a National Trust Property!
In particular he enjoys eating with the other residents in the wood panelled dining room where they have proper
napkins and napkin rings.
Despite having dementia he is included in all the activities and is regularly taken on trips to the pub or the bowls club which he really enjoys.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. They really do make you feel like part of the family and I am enjoying getting to know them all and the other residents.

My mother has been a permanent resident at Oaktree since May 2024, prior to this, she had been at 2 other homes for respite care.
Oaktrees is definitely the friendliest and most caring home and my mother has been very happy at the home since her placement here.
I have found all the staff approachable
and appear happy in their caring roles. The home definitely has a family/homely feel which I particularly recommend it.

My mother was a resident at Cavendish Park Care Home for over 2 and a half years and during that time her care has been amazing. Despite her dementia progressing, she was always treated beautifully and encouraged to take part in all the wonderful activities on offer. From a practical point of view,
her room was always tidy and welcoming and she was immaculate and well turned out (which was important to her).
Devastatingly, she had a fall- they called me straight away- and we went to A and E in an ambulance. Her injuries were catastrophic but rather than spend her last days in hospital, she was able to return to Cavendish Park where she was treated with great care and kindness. We, as a family, were so well looked after and provided for in the following days and she died peacefully, with dignity, with her family around her.
I cannot stress enough how amazing the manager and her fantastic staff are - we are so grateful that mum was looked after so sensitively for 2 and a half years. Thank you.

Mum was in Cavendish Park Care Home for 4 1/2 years and I can honestly not praise the home and all it's staff enough.
When she first went in, as the pandemic started, she was against it but with encouragement from the amazing staff, she eventually settled. Mum began reading, knitting, doing jigsaws
things I hadn't seen her do for 40+ years!
Sadly, mum caught pneumonia in October last year and after a spell in hospital the strain affected her heart and kidneys, she was put on palliative care. I requested she went home, and was so glad I did. Mum was back in her own bed and our family was welcomed to be with her 24 hours a day. There were trays of snacks and drinks for us, kitchen staff asked what we'd like for meals each day.
Staff came to see mum to give her a kiss goodbye telling lovely memories of her in the home. End of life care was so loving. I cannot tell you how much this did my heart good.
All these incredible people made the last few days of mum's life loving and respectful.

My mother has recently lost her husband, and moved into Cavendish Park after 60 years in her previous home, so it's been a huge adjustment for her. The staff at Cavendish Park have managed her arrival there superbly, and I could not have chosen a better place for her. She is surrounded by caring, supportive
staff who are looking after her every need, and is already making friends with other residents. It's a great peace of mind to realise that she is being so well looked after in what is clearly a highly professional and well run care home. Five stars for everything from me!!

My mother has been a resident since December 2023. She was frail and not coping at all at home, she had a nasty leg ulcer for eight years and the district nurses were unable to heal it.
