At Cavendish Park, we believe that the essential comforts and luxuries in life such as hairdressing, manicures, chiropody and daily newspapers are a given. That's why all of these, plus trips out in our own mini-bus, drinks at the bar or a special meal in the privacy of our private dining room with your loved ones, are all included in your weekly fee. Sky connection and telephone calls from your own telephone in your room are also part of our inclusivity.

I visit the home regularly and always think what a lovely place it is to live. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. It’s always lovely and clean and very well run. Residents all seem happy and content and there’s always an activity going on.

My stepmother's comfort is unquestionably and appreciably heightened by an admirable staffing structure and the organisation's approach to detailed and ongoing training, across every facet of operations; the excellent consistency in sustaining its corporate ethos can stand comparison with any medium-sized
enterprise.
I forward significant praise for the standards set in all aspects of infrastructure and housekeeping management within the home. I add that some of the general rooms, for leisure, camaraderie, relaxation or reflection, would never be out of place in a top class hotel chain.
The gradual, stepwise removals of once restrictive protocols do assist ongoing progress, with increasingly imaginative and well-delivered programmes of wide-ranging activities.

All of the staff at Cavendish are just wonderful. Ever since my grandmother came into the home, they have been so supportive of both her and the family too. Even through the rougher times, they have provided enduring kindness to the whole family - something for which we are ever grateful. The facilities
and activities on site are wonderful, enabling residents to really feel at home. There is a real sense of genuine empathy from everyone there, and any queries are always resolved quickly and gently. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Cavendish. I would have no hesitance in recommending them to anyone.

My mother has moved into the care home and requires nursing care. The process of moving Mum was excellent. The clinical manager was very caring and helped settle Mum into her new home. The member of staff on the reception team was wonderful. The manager was terrific too, explaining everything and working
with us in terms of the contract and finances. The facilities are amazing, and all the staff are so helpful and caring. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and the staff are always so attentive. As a family, we cannot praise the team highly enough. I undertook a lot of research into local care homes before choosing Cavendish Park. Mum has been cared for so well that it confirms completely we made the right decision with Mum moving to Cavendish Park.

I really think it would be hard to find a better care home than Cavendish Park Care Home. It truly is a place you come to live!
My father has been in Cavendish Park for eighteen months now and we have just moved both of my in-laws in as well. I don't think you can get a better recommendation than
that.
All of the staff are lovely and caring and they are all relentlessly cheerful. The activities coordinators do a great job of providing a range of activities for all tastes. The care staff make sure they know the residents' preferences in terms of food and drink - even to the extent of knowing what wine they like! What more could you ask for? The housekeeping staff keep the entire home immaculately clean at all times.
The environment is much more like a five-star hotel than a care home!

The staff are very caring and take good care of Dad. They keep good health records. Staff build good relationships with and have a laugh with the residents. The building is very nice and the rooms are lovely. The gardens are well kept and have seating areas to enjoy it. The lounge area is particularly

My 91-year-old father is 2 weeks into his initial 4-week trial at the care home. After suffering a number of unexplained falls and episodes of memory lapses, which resulted in emergency Paramedics being called and taking him into hospital, we came to the conclusion that staying on his own at home was
no longer an option. He eventually agreed to an initial 4-week stay and thanks to the manager and her team, he was able to be admitted the day after his discharge from hospital. Despite our initial concerns about how Dad would settle, he has surprised us all. His walking is so much better and he is so much more relaxed and content than we have seen him in a very long time. Although he naturally misses being in his own home, which he shared with my late mum during their 59-year marriage, he has settled in extremely well. All of the staff with whom myself and our family have had contact, have been a delight and literally, nothing is too much trouble for them.

My mother was in Cavendish Park Care Home for the last two years of her life and received excellent care during that period as her health deteriorated. Staff treated her as a person and respected her capabilities. They valued her opinion enough to involve her in recruitment interviews and her ministerial
training by asking her to lead church services during lockdown. Regular staff made an effort to do things the way that she wanted. The range of facilities and activities that were provided was extensive and every effort was made to accommodate our visits during the pandemic and also towards the end of her life. Although it is not the cheapest care home, everything was included and, having visited other family members in care homes elsewhere, this is the best care home that we have come across.

Would like to offer my gratitude to the staff at the Cavendish Park Care Home for their professionalism in care for my wife. Although my wife realised she had a shortened life span, she was extremely happy in her surroundings.
Probably the best decision in my life in placing her in this nursing home.

The way I feel about Cavendish Park Care Home is reflected in the fact I have described it as "excellent in all areas"! Cavendish Park has at its core a team of dedicated and frankly exceptional staff who never fail to go the extra mile to support residents - no matter what job they hold! The team is

My father was extremely reluctant to leave his family home to move to a care home, despite having early-stage dementia and suffering from loneliness since my mother died late last year. He agreed to a month's trial and so far it has been going fantastically well. He has been voluntarily joining in some
of the activities - one of his concerns was being pushed to participate - so the gentle and light touch of the staff has been much appreciated.
The restaurant and the restaurant menus have been well-received by him. He loves the fact that there is a greenhouse in the grounds where he can look after his cuttings and nurture plants. He thinks the staff are wonderful, happy, ever-obliging and according to Dad, nothing is ever too much trouble for them.
I don't think we will be able to find Dad a place that can match the quality of life he can enjoy here during his remaining years which we hope will be plentiful.

The staff at Cavendish Park have ensured that a very emotional time for my mum and I has been handled with the utmost professionalism and care. Their dedication to ensuring her wellbeing and happiness has been exceptional. They assist in answering any questions, queries or worries. They have continued

Cavendish Park is a wonderful care home. My Dad is very happy and is cared for by wonderful staff. They are very caring, loving and professional. Cannot praise them enough. It has been tough during the past few months but all the care in the world has been taken to ensure residents are as happy as they
can make it. I appreciate all they have done to make visiting a happy time and also secure (we are so lucky). The activities team have been keeping everyone entertained, keeping them fit, minds active and I can say they are truly wonderful people. Team Cavendish Park have been brilliant at looking after my aunt, who had to be placed here temporarily after a stay in hospital. My 91-year-old aunt had always said she did not want to move into a care home, but eventually, we ran out of options and she couldn't manage at home any longer. We found
the ideal care home near me, but at the last minute it identified a case of Covid and couldn't take her. The team there found a place for her in Cavendish Park Care Home and it's been wonderful. I've been lucky enough to be able to make a face-to-face visit, and to hold my aunt's hand which was lovely as we haven't been able to visit her since October. However, I think the Zoom calls are even better, as no one is obscured by masks and PPE. Everyone at Cavendish Park has been so reassuring and it's wonderful to know that the Zoom calls are part of the support arrangements, and not just an extra that might happen if staff aren't too busy. This has been the perfect solution for the whole family.

Having taken the decision to move my aunt into the Cavendish during lockdown, I was very apprehensive, but all my fears were soon laid to rest. Every member of staff is so helpful and treats my aunt with dignity, respect and care. The Zoom calls have been a wonderful addition and the relative's gateway
is such a marvellous idea. I cannot praise and thank the Cavendish enough.

My father only had a short stay at Cavendish Park due to illness and passing away in hospital. I was unable to get to see him, but for the time he was there everybody I spoke to was so helpful. I was kept informed regularly and the relative's gateway was absolutely brilliant. Thank you.

Cavendish Park is a wonderful care home. When the time comes for your loved one to go into a home it's a heart-wrenching decision. Cavendish was my top choice after looking at a few places and it has exceeded my expectations. My partner has Alzheimer's and is not easy to manage but the staff have gone
above and beyond to meet his needs and make him happy, they genuinely seem to care about him. The carers are absolutely lovely and all the staff are cheerful, enthusiastic, kind and professional. The home is beautifully decorated and uses the latest technology but most important of all, whenever I visit (in a visiting room due to Covid) my partner seems happy, relaxed and looks clean and tidy. I can't thank the staff enough for taking such good care of him.

My Dad came here just before Christmas. It looked amazing but I wanted to make sure it wasn’t all ‘show’. This place is extraordinary. I couldn’t be happier. He is so well now and so safe. COVID is brilliantly managed. The staff are dedicated and my goodness do they care. It comes from the heart here.
Yes, it’s expensive but it is worth every single penny for this outstanding, loving and caring place.

My mother moved to Cavendish Park prior to COVID-19, following surgery and time in the hospital, before which she had been living in another home. By comparison to the previous home, I was quickly impressed by the attitude of and the quality of the staff I met. Despite the obvious difficulties during
the COVID-19 crisis, I feel the home has done an excellent job in caring for residents, implementing the necessary safety measures, maintaining standards, and reintroducing visiting facilities when possible.

Mel Hoskins

Job Title: General Manager Joined: 2019

Promoted to General Manager in late 2021, Mel has over 20 years of experience in the care and hotel industry covering a variety of roles.


Mel joined the luxury care home Cavendish Park in 2016 as Customer Relationship Manager following 7 years as a Regional Customer Relationship Manager for a large care group.


Joining the team in the home commissioning phase, Mel has built wonderful relationships with the local and wider community, forming bonds and relationships that enable our residents to remain part of that community once they move to Cavendish Park. Mel is dedicated to ensuring that the home remains at the heart of the local community.


Mel understands how important moving from independent living to living in a care home is. She is kind, experienced, and compassionate in supporting new residents, their relatives, and loved ones through this emotive time.


Mel is dedicated to always providing excellent customer service, remaining empathic and professional, she is always on hand to offer support and guidance throughout the journey.


When taking time away from home, Mel is a big fan of walking, hiking, and hill-climbing. She enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 grown-up children and 2 stepdaughters.


And more than anything she loves cuddles with her beautiful hairless Russian sphynx cat, Bubba... who definitely rules the roost in the Hoskins household.

Lucy Kemp

Job Title: Administration Services Manager Joined: 2020

Hello, I'm Lucy.


I am the Administration Services Manager at the luxury care home Cavendish Park! I originally started as an Administrator back in June 2020.


I have worked in caring environments most of my working life – including nurseries and schools. I also have lots of experience in hospitality. Ultimately it didn’t give me the same buzz as working in care.


It was a goal of mine to join Cavendish Park for such a long time and when the time finally arose – I jumped at the chance! I feel it is very important not only to get to know residents and relatives but also your colleagues, as we spend every working day with our team. It is just lovely being part of the Cavendish Park Family.


To my surprise, I was nominated for Majesticare’s Star Awards 2023, for the Jedi Recognition Award, which is an award created by Majesticare recognising individuals who recognise the work of their fellow teammates. I was lucky enough to win the award and had the opportunity to attend the Majesticare Star Awards.

Kim Maylnn

Job Title: Lifestyle and Community Lead Joined: 2022

Hello, I am Kim, Lifestyle and Community Lead at our wonderful Care Home, Cavendish Park!


Until now I have never worked in a care home, I trained as a nurse at the beginning of my career, and after having my two children I worked for Age UK for a total of 25 years. In 2000, I moved from South London to live in Evesham and continued to work at Age UK Warwickshire for over 8 years before moving to Rooftop Housing Association as a health and well-being Co-Ordinator, for over 13 years.


Following a restructuring within the company, I decided to look for another post, and happily, I found this job. My work experience plus lifetime skills within health promotion and the well-being field have given me the perfect balance to fit into this role.


At Cavendish Park, I currently run a series of groups and events completely open to the local community including our monthly Community Coffee Morning as well as my Singing for Wellbeing Group, Parkinson's Support Group and my Knit and Natter Group. I have built a real support network among our residents, team and Cavendish Park community.
