Green Lane Care Centre

Overall, very good. Staff/carers are excellent, always cheerful and helpful. Teamwork with carers is excellent. I was on home care for eighteen years before retirement so I do know about caring. I was non-weight-bearing for six weeks. All staff always waved or spoke always when passing which I appreciated very much.

From first going into reception, was met with a friendly greeting at the door. The staff all looked after my husband really well and could often hear them talking to residents with great care, which was nice to hear. Doctors, nurses, physios, carers and cleaning staff were very good, couldn't fault at all. Can't thank you all enough. The food was very good too and very tasty. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

Communication is absolutely appalling. Unless you seek out staff, no one volunteers any information or progress. Issues have been highlighted to staff about my mother-in-law as while she has been assessed as 'independent' she has not had a proper wash or brushed her teeth in the 5 weeks she has been there. She has been showered once. If my husband and I were not going to do this, this would have been the only shower for 5 weeks. I have also highlighted to staff and the deputy manager safety issues around medication. My husband was also given the access code to Green Lane, I presume so that staff does not have to answer the door. This is unacceptable when Green Lane is supposed to be a place of safety for the care users. I contacted Green Lane on the 2nd November 2022 to discuss my concerns and was advised a manager would call the next day. I am still waiting.

Awful place, not fit for purpose. The staff do not wear correct PPE, no choice for residents, sat in their bedrooms day in, day out. Told when to go to bed and being shouted at, it's a disgrace. Would not have these people look after my dog.

Throughout my time at Green Lane, I have been shown nothing but kindness by every single member of staff. The cleaners have been thorough and the kitchen staff provides a nutritious variety of meals. Whatever needs I have had they have been really well attended to in a pleasant courteous manner. I will miss everyone very much and can only say to management, admin and everyone thank you so much.

I am very happy to be here, as I feel the staff are doing everything they can to enable me to cope when I return home. The physio is brilliant and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. I also feel in safe hands with the nursing care I receive.

The staff worked hard and were very good and friendly during visits. My cousin was well looked after and all of his care needs were met. The staff were respectful and considerate of his needs when administering medicines and treatments. I was kept informed by the nurses, physio and management when necessary on my cousin's progress or changes to treatment.

I found this to be a very caring and friendly home. They are doing everything possible to get my dad home.

My 95-year-old mum was moved into Green Lane after a 6-week spell in hospital during which time her mobility deteriorated and she could no longer stand or walk when she arrived. The occupational therapy staff did their best but it soon became obvious she needed full-time nursing care. She was treated at Green Lane with care, respect and kindness.

The care my mother-in-law has received has been excellent. The staff are always helpful and welcoming.

We couldn't have asked for better care and professionalism with the care of my mother, who was here for over 8-weeks. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

The dedication of all the staff - managers, nurses, physio, catering staff, maintenance and ambulance drivers, very patient and nothing was too much trouble.

Very friendly helpful staff who have worked tirelessly with my elderly and frail mother to give her back some quality of life. Straight on the issue of overmedication and physio, both of which have been needed for some 12 months. Thanks to all for the care and consideration. Mum has come on leaps and bounds during her short stay to the present time.

During the last months of my mother's life, the care that Green Lane Intermediate Care Centre provided was first class. The management and staff were very professional and caring. The centre was always very clean and staff welcoming.

At all times staff were very professional. The standard of care given to my mother-in-law was very good, all staff gave her the best care possible. The home always was fresh and welcoming.

Absolutely fabulous place with kind, generous and knowledgeable staff who take great care with the elderly. I would not hesitate to recommend Green Lane to anyone. An absolute credit to all the staff and a gem of a place. Thank you, everyone, at Green Lane for looking after my mum so well.

Two carers went above and beyond their duties so many times. They were outstanding. Management were brilliant and flexible when we needed help and support. My mum enjoyed the meals. The home was the best one she has been to, while she's needed help.
