Dell House cares for up to 60 elderly residents in modern but homely surroundings, with facilities such as café, shop, cinema, family room and bedrooms with direct access to gardens and first-floor garden terraces.

This is a big step for what is a little company, but, as a team, this service competes with the larger corporate care providers.

A wonderful interior designer has been commissioned who has a real understanding of the needs of the elderly, but not forgetting it is a person’s home, with little touches such as wood-burning stove effect in the lounges to give a cosy feel.

There has been a lot of thought put into the design of the home and the architect who also designed projects at Moorings and Manor House homes, has created a beautiful home with a wonderful palette of materials that will set it apart from the usual care home design. Dell House will be a life-enhancing, happy and positive environment in which to live and work.

Following a distressing time prior to my mother's admittance into Dell House with a diagnosis of dementia, we were made to feel very welcome and at home. Very quickly my mother's physical health improved and she began to thrive. Since being here she has become, happier, more relaxed and confident, her
physical health has improved. What more could we ask? Wonderful caring staff, beautiful environment and professional service.

When we left my husband at our chosen care home for the first time on Feb 15th 202 little did we realise that after a few visits to see him we would all be in lockdown for many weeks?
When at last we could visit, there were fleeting moments when he remembered who his visitors were (his wife and eldest
son), but very soon he said he wanted to go back inside. Sad that he had forgotten us so quickly, but very happy he has settled so well. Thank you.

Staff seem friendly and trained to do their jobs. They were occasionally short-staffed if one or two residents were being aggressive and needed one to one supervision. Usually, such residents had an assessor brought in to see if they needed sectioning, especially as a couple became a risk to other residents.
Overall this was handled well by staff, in what seemed a difficult situation (note, I have not been allowed in since March due to Covid-19).

The home is beautifully spacious and clean and those who work here are the most attentive to residents and visitors. The person I visited was unfortunately slightly depressed and the carers were helping him to look on the brighter side of things.
As I am not a relative and only visit quite rarely (at
the request of the family of one of the residents) I don't feel able to respond to the detailed 'options'.

Mum came to Dell House after a 3 week stay in hospital. The managers and staff are wonderful. Mum has not moved in almost a month but the staff have already got her out of bed every day, sitting up.
It is a beautiful home and I am so pleased that she is here.

My Dad who suffers from Parkinson's needed respite care while my Mum, who is his carer had a knee replacement operation.
The care and support he received were excellent from all the staff. Not only did they support my Dad through this difficult time but all of us as a family.

I found the staff polite, kind and attentive. The cooked food was for my mushy and tasteless. I can understand this as many residents seemed to prefer a soft diet other than that the accommodation and facilities were of a high standard. A variety of activities was provided for interested residents.

Finding a suitable respite place for my mother-in-law who has Alzheimers was proving extremely difficult until I became aware of Dell House.
Fabulous place. Staff go out of their way to accommodate, listen well, provide care to suit. Their approach towards my mother-in-law is very very good. Have nothing
negative to say.
