I don’t get to visit often, but have been made welcome on every occasion and found Grandma in a well-cared-for state every time. The accommodation always appears clean and looked after. The management and staff have taken Covid restrictions seriously and to their credit kept the virus out for many months. They were also very responsive when there was a positive test amongst staff and prevented it from spreading. I could never afford to be cared for here.

Braeburn Lodge is small and intimate with excellent staff that are always friendly, very approachable, extremely kind and attentive to all the residents and family members. It is perfect for my mum, especially with all the visiting and resident animals. The food always looks and smells absolutely fabulous. Nothing is to much trouble for anybody involved with the running/caring at Braeburn Lodge.

I cannot find enough superlatives to describe or recommend Braeburn - they are truly wonderful. So pleased to be lucky enough to find our Mum, who has dementia, a home here - and a home is what it is, in every sense of the word. Knowing that she was being cared for by her Braeburn family in lockdown, has been a massive comfort. She always looks so happy. I love the things they do from the extra steps they take to celebrate special occasions, down to day to day hands-on everyday things such as helping fold the washing - normal things. My only wish is that my Dad could have seen how happy and settled she is, despite his fears, while he was alive about how she’d cope without him. He’d have been so relieved.

My grandmother moved here in 2019 after a fall at home. She loved it from the moment she walked in. The home is lovely and welcoming and the staff really are fantastic - catering for her every need. The personal service is second to none and since she has been there, she has thrived. Highly recommended.

My father in law has recently moved to Braeburn Lodge. He is severely affected by dementia. We have only praise for the staff at Braeburn. They have been patient, kind, caring and understanding of all dad's needs during this early settling in period. Our daily enquiries have been met with honesty and kindness. They have treated all his needs professionally and with respect.

We are still very new to the care system, Braeburn Lodge exceeds our expectations and we would recommend it without reservation.

My mother is now a resident here and suffers from dementia. The staff have been marvellous at settling her in and making her feel welcome. There are only 12 rooms so it has the feel of a guesthouse rather than a care home. It's very light, airy and modern with a large communal kitchen, living room and conservatory, as well as a lovely garden.
I'd always promised my mother I'd never put her in a home; however, it had reached the point where it was no longer safe for her to stay in her own home. I'm so relieved to know she is somewhere where she is well looked after, has lots of activities, social stimulation and lots of trips out too.

She's settled in really well and I would definitely recommend Braeburn Lodge.

Not being previously too familiar with care homes, I was amazed at the care and comfort that my sister is receiving here. The staff are enthusiastic, caring and attentive to the residents and staff. I have dined at the Home and the food is first class. Regular outings and indoor entertainments are held. Cleanliness is superb.

Following a fall at home and a stay in the hospital, it became clear that my very independent mum would now need full-time professional care. We were by far most impressed with Braeburn Lodge. With only twelve beds, it suited mum, who is not a lover of large numbers of people. The staff are welcoming, motivated, happy and very caring, with nothing too much trouble for residents and visitors alike. With a dedicated events team, the range of activities is varied and engaging, including boat trips. A hairdresser and chiropodist visit regularly. All these are included in the fees, so mum has no need to worry about handling cash.
The communication is excellent, with every detail of mum's care being discussed and reported as necessary. The choice and quality of meals are first class with a full-time chef cooking everything from fresh.

We were very worried as a family how she would cope in a cared for environment. We needn't have, she is very much enjoying life, all thanks to the amazing staff.

We are amazed at the way my mother-in-law has adapted to life in residential care and we are sure that this is in large part owing to the all-round care that she is receiving. We have been particularly impressed with the way that Braeburn Lodge has taken responsibility for her health needs, working in conjunction with her new GP. Communication from the home has been excellent both from the management and the staff.

First time of using this or any other facility for respite care. My initial visit was very welcoming and informative. To arrange the respite care was very easy. The Lodge is very clean fresh and airy. As it’s only been open a short while as to be expected everything is in excellent order. ALL staff have been brilliant, helpful in answering my queries and thoughtful and accommodating to my mother. The activities are great with plenty of interesting outings. Food is varied and I have been delighted to see my mother eating with enthusiasm again. Big thanks to all at Braeburn Lodge for helping to make the respite care a big positive in my family’s life. Will use again without a doubt.
