Kingsfield Court care home is a purpose-built residential care home based in the community of Earl Shilton, Leicestershire, that also specialises in dementia care. The spacious interiors and homely decorations complement the work of professional carers, and create a calming and homely atmosphere.

En-suite rooms and landscaped gardens delight residents and their families, who also have their own on-site cafe to enjoy. Health and wellbeing needs are very important and the Activities Coordinators work with residents and families to develop an exciting programme of activities and events that are tailored to personal interests.

Residents and staff go out into the community and the community are invited into the home, in order to build positive relationships and enable social inclusion for residents. They are also many intergenerational activities so that residents are able to engage with all age groups, from toddlers to college students.

All care is carried out in a bespoke fashion, with passion, empathy and enthusiasm at the centre of all decisions taken. Carers understand the importance of person-centred care, and the residents needs and preferences are placed at the centre of their care.

Choices at mealtimes are provided to all residents and they take great pride in the dining experience. Personal preferences and nutritional needs are taken into account and the kitchen team work hard to provide a wide range of healthy and tasty choices for residents.

Popped in to see an old friend. First time since she had moved into Kingsfield Court. Lovely, clean and tidy building and very friendly staff. Made me feel very welcome. Very homely. Was shown to my friend's room by the lovely receptionist and offered a cup of tea by the lady with the tea trolley. Good

Mum is 93, has vascular dementia and has severe mobility issues. The decision to move into a care home was agonising. Our first impression of Kingsfield Court was telling... as nice as the decor is, it was the impact the staff had on us that made the decision easier. They have shown that they actually
care. This has been demonstrated in so many ways too numerous to list. At home, she was confined to her room for over a year as we couldn't get her up and down the stairs. At Kingsfield Court, she has a much better quality of life, is able to join in with activities if she wants and has much more contact with others than before. The recent and continuing decline has shown Kingsfield Court acts very professionally in the care they give, whilst also showing they actually do care. They really do try to engender a 'home from home' atmosphere there. From the moment you walk through the reception, you feel that. Appreciate all the staff there for the kindness and care they give Mum.

My 92 year old aunt was admitted to Kingsfield Court on the 23rd December 2022 initially for 4 weeks respite care. She had had several falls at home and had recently returned from hospital and was finding it harder to cope. The staff were absolutely amazing. The member of staff on reception is like
a guardian angel. On our arrival staff came into the room who had cared for my aunt and uncle previously to make her feel more comfortable and welcome. It made the whole experience so much more reassuring. Prior to moving to Kingsfield Court my aunt didn’t leave her house or talk to any people outside the immediate family. She now has a regular stroll with her walker and talks to people who are out and about. She enjoys having her hair styled weekly and her nails painted. Her quality of life is so much better. Needless to say, she is now a permanent resident. Thank you so much for all you do. You are all amazing.

Since moving into Kingsfield Court last November (2022), the family have seen a big improvement in our brother's health. It's reassuring to know that he is being cared for so well. His mobility is so much better along with his appetite, communication (apart from his hearing which is in the process of
being dealt with) and social awareness taking part in the daily activities made available. The staff are faultless from the lady on reception to the carers who are all so friendly and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Kingfisher Court to anyone in similar circumstances.

My loved one is happy and very well looked after. We live far away and are not able to see him as much as we would like, so it's nice to keep up with pictures and going on social media. We must say they do have lots of things to keep them busy which is great! Well done Kingsfield.

receptionist who went out of her way and above and beyond her role. I ordered a Christmas present for my uncle and I knew it would not be gift-wrapped but she kindly offered to do this. Thank you so much.

Kingsfield Court has the perfect balance of professional and personal approaches. Throughout my mother's stay, the covid19 pandemic has been ongoing, resulting in a number of unavoidable lockdowns. Staff closest to her have kept me informed and managed to meet her very complex care needs far better
than we were able at home. She's prone to falls and when these seem more serious, I'm able to go in and await medical care with her. Admin staff are equally caring friendly and efficient. It's actually a pleasure to wait in reception for lateral flow test results - or was until the cushions were removed. It made the seats uncomfortably deep. Please replace at least one for us tiny visitors with our own health issues.
Whenever I've had a concern, it has been investigated and either explained, or quickly remedied where possible.
My father recently chose to become a resident and has blossomed, which I feel says everything

My mother is happy and well cared for by all staff and they are very helpful. The food is beautiful and varied regularly. If I have a criticism at all, it would be around the communication between staff and families. There needs to be some continuation and joining up of conversations and requests followed

We attended a family BBQ on Saturday 11.9.21. This was the first opportunity to have a get together for many months. It was a huge success, enjoyed by all. The staff had worked very hard and their hard work was much appreciated both by residents and relatives.

Staff look after residents with much care and love one would think they were related to them. They are encouraged to maintain as many activities as they wish to join in, including tending their own patio area to grow plants and vegetables. On visits, residents are always happy and smiling. Through covid,
I felt my relative was cared for in a very safe environment. Catering is like being in a 5 star hotel, wonderful.

It was my first visit to Kingsfield Court on Saturday but I had heard about how impressive it was as my friend's mother, who is also my friend, was one of the first residents.
The decor and layout of the home is so wonderful. I loved the wallpaper and pictures.
My friend's mum has been so well looked
after and anything that is needed to be reported to my friend was done so straight away and dealt with.

Mum stayed here for respite in June. Unfortunately, there was a Covid case so no activities were available as all residents were locked down in their rooms.
Mum is vegetarian but the food was neither appetising nor nutritious.
Every night she was woken by another resident wandering into her room.
On more than one occasion she was shouted at by the other resident, causing her incredible distress both during the day and at night.
We were assured that she would not be placed on the same floor as dementia patients but at this was not the case.
Mum was not happy staying there at all.

My aunt moved into Kingsfield Court initially for emergency respite as my uncle had been admitted to hospital. From the first contact, I cannot fault the care and attention to detail. All staff have gone above and beyond to make my aunt feel welcome and to reassure me that she is in the best place.
One
member of staff, in particular, has been such tremendous support throughout this very difficult time, I cannot thank her enough.
I would not hesitate to recommend Kingsfield Court to anyone requiring residential care.

Dad who is 94, was independent until he fell at home and needed 24/7 support. Kingsfield Court were very proactive in getting him in at the end of October and he was obviously benefitting from the care and attention he received. He had a lovely ground floor room with a door to the outside. When we Skyped
he always looked smart and comfortable and would say how good the food was and lovely the staff were. We had looked forward to visiting and seeing the home for ourselves when Covid 19 restrictions eased. We also know he was receiving excellent medical attention to his various conditions as well as efforts to improve his mobility. He is not the most gregarious person and was generally happy in his room although we are aware the staff were doing their best to get him out. Unfortunately, he became unwell and ultimately was rushed into Leicester Royal Infirmary with internal bleeding. The staff kept us informed of his condition as well as ensuring close medical attention. We hope he will return.

During the ten weeks my Mum was at this care home she received excellent care. I spent many hours with her during her final days and was able to witness first-hand everything this home offered. Yes, there were issues, mostly to do with staffing levels, as with all homes, but overall I don't believe

My husband has been a resident here for the last five months. His treatment from everyone - carers, kitchen staff, cleaners, office staff, has been exceptional. They all seem to really care for him and make him feel comfortable and wanted. I have nothing but praise for everyone at Kingsfield Court.

Kingsfield Court is a lovely, bright and modern care home.
It's my first experience of having a close relative move into care and all the staff have been supportive towards both my mum and her family. We are able to visit whenever we want and everyone is always very welcoming.

Phillippa Keeble

Phillippa is our front-of-house manager at Kingsfield Court, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge of the care sector. Phillippa supports families and individuals from their initial enquiry all the way through to their admission into the home. Phillippa will be your first point of contact at Kingsfield Court and can provide guidance and advice. She will coordinate tours, assessments and admissions and allocate a Care Manager to each new resident who will ensure all of the resident's needs are being met during their time at Kingsfield Court.

Joanne has worked in health and social care for the elderly and in supporting the elderly with mental health issues for the last 30 years. Joanne started her career in the care sector as a care assistant, and worked her way up to a Registered Manager and a Regional Manager, where Joanne supported 5 care home services.


She has a passion for delivering outstanding care, drawing from years of experience working in Health and Social Care. Joanne is deeply dedicated to Acacia Cares' vision.
