The very difficult decision we had to make as a family to avail of respite recently, was greatly lessened by our very positive experience at Meadow View. The facility itself is clean, homely, warm and safe. The colour scheme and decor is lovely and Mum's bedroom was inviting and adequately furnished.
Of course, it is daunting to leave a loved one in a new environment, but the staff were so kind, thoughtful and experienced. From the initial interview at the home prior to going in, to the hugs given by staff as Mum left ten days later, the experience was positive.

I feel that my mother is in a very safe and secure environment. She is well cared for in a warm and clean home and is supplied with plenty of meal breaks. She is assisted with personal hygiene and is always well-groomed and well turned out in her own clothes.

The staff at Meadow View have been extremely helpful, caring and diligent in their approach to settling Mum in. There are a lot of activities to keep the residents entertained and the staff are very open and welcoming of any new ideas. Meadow View is kept spotlessly clean and there is always a clean
and fresh smell around the facility. All in all, as a family, we are delighted with Mum's care.

Everytime I visit I am always meet by a member of staff at the front asking if they can help and who I am visiting. I am always offered tea/coffee. My friend that I am visiting always looks clean and happy. All staff know their name and look after their needs.

Very impressed so far with the care our mum is receiving. The staff are excellent and she is treated as if she is one of their family. Every aspect of Meadow View is first class and we, as a family, cannot recommend it highly enough.

My mum has been in Meadow View for 4 months. They have super staff who are very caring, trustworthy, understanding and compassionate. My mother settled in here from day one, which helped us all as a family to know Mum was happy and content and most of all safe.

This is the second stay that my dad has enjoyed at Meadowview. And as it was on his first visit, he has received excellent care. It had been so good to know the assurance that comes with residence in such a well-managed home.

Thank you so much for my brother's birthday party. As a new resident, he felt very much at home. He is now in a caring, compassionate and spotlessly clean environment and now able to enjoy his new home. Your staff are amazing.

My mum has only recently been a resident in this facility.
Although she herself says she wants to go home she is very well cared for. She is looking very well physically.
Staff are excellent and very courteous.

I was pleasantly surprised how warm and beautiful Meadow View was. This was my first experience of visiting a care home. The staff were very caring and so welcoming. I left that day feeling that this was a good choice and that she was going to be well taken care of and I'm sure the rest of the families
feel the same.

Current Review Score: 8.1 (8.093)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.1 (8.093) out of 10 for Meadow View is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Meadow View is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.093 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Meadow View is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 = 3
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 54 registered maximum number of service users is 10.8. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 10.8 = 0.093
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
