Five Rivers Living

First brought Dad to this home because it felt right. Good people, good vibes, all good. Dad loves it here - no problems. Staff very good in all ways. Owners of the home, top people. Food good. Rooms very clean. Can't fault anything, will be booking my room here in the future. Would recommend this palace to anybody.

My mom stayed at the home and I felt she was well looked after by the staff. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff for looking after mom during her stay. You are all appreciated and keep up looking after all your residents in your care.

I find Mum is in good hands. The staff are very friendly well. She is happy and looks well. She was ill and the staff looked after her.

My Dad can be very active, and although his mobility is now very limited, and he needs a wheelchair, it is good that he can still play Dominoes (his favourite game) with me, and the rest of the family and staff. He also enjoyed a good old sing-song, with us playing the Ukulele, on our last visit. Dad still has a good sense of humour, and misses his Caribbean food but I can't wait until the sun shines so that we can take him outside to sit in the Five Rivers' garden. Big thanks to all the staff.

Unfortunately, my Mother was taken into care around 6 months ago, very much against her will. We chose 5R for her because it seemed very clean and modern and the staff was helpful. Since that time, I would say the staff have gone out of their way to manage a difficult situation and make this work for my Mother. I hugely appreciate the efforts of the individual staff who provide my Mother's care needs - unfortunately owing to her condition she is not always grateful, and I know this requires an effort to rise above. My Mother has always been very independent but sociable - I visit her twice weekly, and gradually she has settled in. I know she appreciates the physical environment and enjoys her room and ensuite shower/WC. Whenever I meet the management they always seem very professional, and I believe they are sincerely striving to make 5R the best it can be. On behalf of my family, I'd like to thank them for their support at what has been a very difficult time.

We really think this place is amazing. They are great with Dad, he really enjoys being around other people. He enjoys talking to people. He has a beautiful room. Staff are really great. We can only say great things about Five Rivers. Management are very approachable. If you have any problems they will sort stuff our for you.

My nan seems very happy and has been talking more. Looked after well and is now eating and drinking and is settling in well with support from staff. Management and staff are very helpful and nothing is too much.

Issues raised are always addressed. The staff staff are very pleasant but with a bit more training for new and refresh with old staff would benefit the home greatly. A good home.

My nana is very happy and is being looked after very well. Everyone is very happy, Nana looks happy.

All staff welcoming, such a caring loving home. The management to the carers are supportive. They will go above and beyond to help anyone. My Pa is happy and settled at Five Rivers Living. He gets on well with other residents and staff.

Betty was very unsettled when she arrived but she has now settled nicely and is very happy here. She gets on well with the staff and they attend to her every need. The family are pleased with her care, she enjoys the meals provided. The staff are very engaging with her.

Staff are all excellent and treat my mother very well. I was worried about my mother going into care but the change in her is second to none. She is happy and chats more. The home is spotless and she has made lots of friends.

I feel the warm atmosphere when I visit, I feel my dad is safe and looked after well, staff are approachable and friendly and address me by name. I feel comfortable and it gives me peace of mind. Management always have time to talk with me, either in person or by telephone, which in other places you don't get.

We visit daily to see my aged grandma and the home is always clean and tidy. Her room is well-appointed, spacious with an ensuite wetroom. Gran has formed good relationships with several members of the care team, who are both supportive and kind.

Most of the carers are very good, they are attentive and do actually care. It is a good care home with well equipped rooms.

They really do need to update their buzzers though as not always very good.

Dad has settled very well at Five Rivers and we have seen a big improvement in his speech, mobility, personal care and his general well-being since moving here. Our thanks to all the staff who have been excellent at communicating, their dedication and care for the residents is clear to see.

The current manager has been so kind during the two weeks my dad spent in respite care at the care home. The carers were helpful and were chatty with Dad. The facility and grounds are always well-maintained. Previously the former management team was poor, but since the current manager has arrived I have seen big changes for the better and the care home is making huge improvements under her guidance.
